  • This week is a double Torah Parashot:
    Netzavim (נִצָּבִים‎) - Hebrew for “ones standing,” is the 51st weekly Torah portion (parashah) in the annual cycle of Torah readings and the eighth in the Book of Deuteronomy and covers Deuteronomy 29:9-30:20
    Vayelech (וַיֵּלֶךְ‎) - Hebrew for “then he went out”, is the 52nd weekly Torah portion (parashah) and covers Deuteronomy 31:1-30 and with just 30 verses, it has the fewest verses of any parashah.
    Learn how Parshah of Nitzavim includes some of the most fundamental principles of the Jewish faith:
    1) The unity of Israel: “You stand today, all of you, before the Lord your God: your heads, your tribes, your elders, your officers, and every Israelite man; your young ones, your wives, the stranger in your gate; from your wood-hewer to your water-drawer.”
    2) Israel and their descendants are God’s covenant people
    3) The Warning of following our own ways after our own heart.
    4) The future redemption: Moses warns of the exile and desolation of the Land that will result if Israel abandons God’s laws, but then he prophesies that in the end, “You will return to the Lord your God . . . If your outcasts shall be at the ends of the heavens, from there will the Lord your God gather you . . . and bring you into the Land which your fathers have possessed.”
    5) The blessing of Torah observance
    6) The practicality of Torah: “For the mitzvah which I command you this day, it is not beyond you, nor is it remote from you. It is not in heaven . . . It is not across the sea . . . Rather, it is very close to you, in your mouth, in your heart, that you may do it.”
    7) Freedom of choice: “I have set before you life and goodness, and death and evil: in that I command you this day to love God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments . . . Life and death I have set before you, blessing and curse. And you shall choose life.”
    The Parshah of Vayelech (“and he went”) recounts the events of Moses’ last day of earthly life. “I am one hundred and twenty years old today,” he says to the people, “and I can no longer go forth and come in.” He transfers the leadership to Joshua, and writes (or concludes writing) the Torah in a scroll which he entrusts to the Levites for safekeeping in the Ark of the Covenant.
    The mitzvah of Hakhel (“gather”) is given: every seven years, during the festival of Sukkot of the first year of the shemittah cycle, the entire people of Israel-men, women and children-should gather at the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, where the king should read to them from the Torah.
    Parashah Vayelech concludes with the prediction that the people of Israel will turn away from their covenant with God, causing Him to hide His face from them, but also with the promise that the words of the Torah “shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their descendants.”

    1/2/2022 - I hope it’s not a ‘bad’ thing for me to say, but my heart receives your teachings as the Truth.... I cannot listen to anyone else anymore. You awaken the Torah in me. I’m new to your teachings. I’m getting my entire life in order to set aside serious study time, be diligent, I asked God to help me retain the Torah in my heart, and live it, effortlessly. This is my inheritance. The script that says, that whatever the locust and cankerworms have eaten will be restored unto me. To me this means, the Torah. My inheritance. Thank you.

      Well, I’m in somewhat the same as you. However, I still listen to those teachers Yah has given His Word of instruction, but has not given revelation of that of prophecy. For example, the KJV has lacked much but what it did have it was not false. These teachers who had only the KJV did the best they had and was faithful to it. THEREFORE, I will listen to what Yah gave them through their faithfulness.
      It is this with Adonai: He meets us at our level of understanding and grows us there!

    Thank you for your amazing teachings.
    I am struggling with what you said when someone speaks of a "new testament" not to believe them, but it is mentioned here in the book of Hebrews.
    Hebrews 9:14-15 (KJV)
    "14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance."

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  Před 2 lety +2

      A "testament" is like a "will" but in the bible the translators use this in the place of God's covenant with Israel... which we know is everlasting... but what God desires to be "new" is that through following Yeshua's example of death to self and the ego, God's covenant (Torah) will be written upon our hearts and minds instead of simply on scrolls of animal skin. This is our eternal inheritance in the land when Mashiach comes.

      Oh ok, thanks @@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers that makes a lot of sense to me now. Thank you for the clarification :) I can fully identify with what you are saying. One is an Israelite inside, like in this verse from Paul in Romans 2:28-29 NKJV "For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; (29) but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God."

    Rabbi can you give us an idea of a typical day or week for you. How much time do you study do you allow yourself any t.v time also do you have a regular fasting schedule. And anything that I need to grow closer to Elohim. Thanks so much

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  Před 2 lety +1

      Prayer and meditation is a part of every day's practice and every free moment is spent in the study of Yah's Word. I fast regularly but of course there has to be a perfect balance to everything we do and thus it is also important to take care of our bodies with proper diet and exercise as well as much time spent serving others. Hope this helps! Blessings in your continued studies and spiritual growth! 😊🙏❤

    what if a Jewish person dies before recognising Yeshua as the Lord? Would they be raised in the Millennium? There are also Jewish atheists, unfortunately.

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  Před rokem +2

      Absolutely... if they lived for God with the light that they had as Abraham and Moshe did then recognition of Yeshua is not necessary as they will be given that opportunity in the Millennial kingdom of the Messianic age.

    I enjoy this teaching immensely , BUT find it very irritating when people from the audience interrupts Yitzak to give their opinion!! The viewer cannot hear what they say and the time they waste to give their own little speech serves no purpose other than to irritate the millions watching on line!!!!
