Homemade table saw with built in router and inverted jigsaw 3 in 1

- Hi this is my take on a homemade table saw, router table and inverted jigsaw, I built all 3 into the same table to save on space
I am very pleased with the results and would recommend making one yourself
The table top is 100cm by 80cm, I didn’t use any specific measurements for the box I just built it round the tools. The tools I used are a Black and Decker circular saw KS64, a Bosch router POF 500A, and a Black and Decker jigsaw KS 633E
During the build and filming allot of the cutting gluing and general preparation was done off camera to speed up the video
00:00 Intro
00:27 Starting the build
01:48 Building the main box
02:51 Fitting flush rulers
04:40 Fitting the inverted jigsaw
06:13 Fitting the router
08:57 Sorting out the electrics
09:54 Making the internal storage compartments
10:43 Making the fence and runners
12:10 Fitting the fence
14:25 Testing

È una cosa molto interessante
Boa noite meu amigo me chamo Renato maia vc fala de onde eu sou aki do Brasil SP capital município de Guarulhos vc vê na é esse mesa ou vc tem projeto dela
Hey, man. All good? I'm from Brazil and I would like to know if you provide the project for this table. If so, what is the value? Thanks for listening
Brilliant! This is the way all CZcams videos should be made. A fantastic product which is introduced at the start to show what the finished product looks like without 10 minutes of useless, preamble chat and making you sit through a 20 minute video before you find out what is being made. Some great ideas and techniques, loved every minute of it. 👍👍👍
this is exactly what i was looking for. have limited space and a lot of things im trying to build. had a look at some ready made tables but none had what i needed so decided to look on CZcams to see what others had come up with. This is perfect. thank you so much for sharing this.Cheers mate from Australia.
I've watched countless videos about building this or something like it with a view to making one once my workshop is built. This is by far the best. Nice job sir.
I have a hidden carpenter in me.
This video has inspired me to get things organized in a small place and follow my passion.
Thank you, Sean Beardon! I, appreciate your efforts to make this video. Simply awesome.
First watched this a few years ago, and watched it several more times over the years, and still think this is one if not, the best build I’ve ever seen on CZcams. Bloody awesome build and well done sir.
I’m glad I read your comment. Because I’m new to this completely (i just need tools) but I’m sitting here watching this in Aww.
Absolutely brilliant mate! I've watched a lot of videos, looking for table saw, I tried a couple and I didn't like them, yours on the other hand is well explained to build and functional. Thank you sir, my respect!
Am going to build this one I think. Safety aspects are great and the storage option. A very functional design indeed well done
Right on, man! Thanks a lot. This build is possible for me, even with limited tools. My limited skills will be a challenge, but I have faith! You're the man!
I really like the idea of combining the table saw table with the router undercount set up. Brilliant use of space.
Well done to you sir -- this is the first sensible built table that clearly displays an emergency switch isolator and a guard on the saw blade -- you clearly have displayed a good grounded knowledge of health and safety to show others how to build a safe work table -- Well done !!!! Have you seen some of the builds on youtube by complete novice DIY builders designing positively dangerous ideas of how to utilise old tools . Then the people watching go and build one having been shown no safety aspect integrated into the design .-- THIS is a great table and you have clearly displayed Health and Safety
First of all, this is a great build and a fine design. Second, you recorded this very clearly and well. VERY impressive.
This is a fantastic idea. It gives a whole new meaning to a Box Of Tools. Thank you for sharing.
Not too small, not too big, not very complicated - perfect for me too. I will try to make a similar one. Thanks for the concept.
Thank you for this video. I think this one is the best one I have ever seen. It is simple and yet so versatile. Thank you for sharing it with us.
The bees knees - thanks. My next project, I just hope I can make as good a job!
I've been using one of those Bosch POF 500 routers for 30 years. Great wee tool.
Pure genius! Wow! I can barely apply glue! You've made an all-in-one utility station.
I honestly think this is the neatest and most useful homemade fixture I have seen yet to date. Well thought out and brilliantly executed. Great job.
agree. good job
Of all the CZcams videos I've seen, this is one of them.
I mean, this is one of the best. ;)
Great build. Well thought out.
This is the most impressive I have seen. Its compact and functional. I will have to watch it again in slow-mo to follow some of this.
I'm amazed on you made this homemade table saw. Looking forward to checking out some more of your builds.
Great job mister Sean.
your project is allmost the best i have seen here!! good job!
You’ve certainly got some skills and tools to go with them ! Awesome work!
Simply brilliant design. Loving that safety switch, and how everything was installed.
Best homemade table saw I have ever seen on youtube. Thanks for sharing mate
i agree it is the beast one
Personally I like this one better than others I have seen. Homemade ones that is.
I like this one because all the added stations that he didn't add on his. I do agree his is better for the saw part, but like this one better because of all the stations it has. I will be downloading his as well. Thanks for the tip.
+Uncle Buck it does not matter who makes the best one. All that matters is they do the job intended which this one does so 👍up from me
Steve Rabo
Excellent project for which a lot of effort has been put into. Creator should highly be commended.
Wow! The best design i've seen. Thanks. Will be made the same construction.
First 10 seconds made me say WOW, awesome awesome setup! Will watch it now lol
Comme quoi, l'outillage ne fait pas forcément le super bricoleur ! Effectivement, pas super outillé, loin de là, mais super intelligent et hyper malin ! Hyper, hyper malin !!! Bravo !!!

Sweet! Love the metal plates and the way you've done the straight edge guide, a lift mechanism would be nice for the router for the sake of convenience.
There are plenty of DIY knobs around. Those for the fence were the best I've seen.
Good job, well done. Thanks for taking the time to show it being made.
Essa bancada é meu sonho , ainda vou fazer uma pra mim , claro me baseando no teu projeto que ficou magnífico , parabéns .
That Tesco washing up liquid is some good stuff!

I don't have a lot of space for projects so this is inspirational!
Excellent work and done in your back yard too.
Now I’m considering the same. Thanks.
You just earned your self a Subscriber my friend and also made my wife happy , Because I don't have to buy a table saw now ! I will make my own table saw lol Great vid 👌👌👌
I like this project completed by you. You are versatile, having both woodworking and metal working skills. Thanks for sharing.
+Bakthavathsal Kadambi thank you for your feedback
Is It possible to share your project?

Amazing!!!!! That's the best homemade table for 3 in 1 tools!!!!! Perfect job man!!!!!!
Congratulations on a very excellent build, idea, execution! This is smart!
That is the best I've seen yet. Awesome job
classic287 ,
WoodIce.xyz is an amazing book about woodworking. I am a graduate of a one year carpentry course from a local tech college. Of all books I`ve read during my study about carpentry, I think this is the finest book I`ve read so far. It explains everything regarding woodworking as well as complements it with helpful photos
That's brilliant! You've missed out the the guard though for the circular saw and maybe a jig saw blade steady.👍
And dust extraction, but its a good project. Maybe an 8" tall dust extractor to fit inside too.
Great build. Probably the best design I've seen so far. Thank you and we'll done 👌
You made a very beautiful job mister Sean. Thank you.
Очень круто! И отдельно за качество съемки!
Damn man!this is sick descent!
Well done, Love the versatility of this table.
That is what I called a workstation!!!Keep up the good work!
Freakin Awesome...enuff said...Your next project should be getting versatile with that drill and making a drill press.
I love this wood working book WoodKing.xyz . A few of the topics talked about in the book include wood working strategies, explanation on the development cycles of trees, and various lumber characteristics that craftsmen favor. I also provided my father another copy.
Michael Angel too dangerous to use this in my opinion
At long last. Someone creating a table saw without using a table saw when building a table saw because every table saw video I see they use a table saw to create a table saw and i don't own a table saw that's why i watch a table saw video on how to do my own table saw. Thank you
that is correct, most of video make no sense, if already have table saw, why built thing like this.
neo malapane lol, brilliant comment and so true.
yeah, i mean they should use a circular saw with a straight edge instead or something.
neo malapane - Glen at DIY Creators has a series about using limited tools; here he makes a multi-use bench with custom inserts for all kinds of power tools - circular saw, router, jigsaw and so on - czcams.com/video/-Oq57fYy9ik/video.html
neo malapane - I forgot this guys name, but he uses minimal tools to create a sweet multi-use bench with table saw, router, jig saw, and even a custom made drill press using a corded drill - czcams.com/video/dfAG6RhtYsM/video.html
25 mins to watch but 20 years to learn 😁 great video & awesome skills.. thanks

Да, мне тоже понравился ролик. (Столик вообще класс, простенько и надежно😊!
Meus parabéns, excelente trabalho... Mesa muito versátil! poderia disponibilizar as medidas ou o diagrama completo? quero fazer uma igual!
the problem with putting you work online is everybody is a critic. Looks like a great piece.
There is also positive and constructive criticism which should be taken as intended. Most youtubers understand this. However a new breed of A MEDAL for participation type are spreading and getting offended for everything
@@NoNopeAndNo th
Everybody is a critic because everyone has an equally valid opinion and does things differently. People like you tend to forget that.
He wrote title Homemade.
I admire his effort and skills but he lied(or he has another definition of homemade).
It is not homemade. He have more tools then any workshop I've ever seen.
Let's have a look how something is made at home and how hard it is to build something without these tools:
czcams.com/video/ut3HjGU6SYA/video.html
Thank you!!! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for 👍🏼
Looks like the best design table saw I have ever seen on CZcams. Well done.
hi, do you have the complete plan for size. I really I want to make one like this
hi, could you give all the size for your table saw, because it seems to be very simple but it is well thought
Thank you very much
It's a wicked idea! Think I'll build one this weekend with some spare tools just so I have a portable all in one setup.
super sophisticated table, brilliant idea sir, very inspiring us who lack carpentry machines, thank you for the science sir ... success always
Very nice job mate, lots of interesting features. May I ask where you sourced the isolation button?
all the comments i read are positive. where did 2.7K dislikes come from? i agree its a very good project!
love that you did the router sound yourself for the video.
Nice really compact but useable your neighbors must love the sound of a router after dark
Cool do you fancy making another one and sending flat packed ?
LOL!!! :-) I'm with you...
How do you plan to cope with dust/chip extraction from the base-box?
+niklar55 there is a hole in the bottom of the box I sweep them down that into a bag

It might be more convenient if you can arrange some plastic waste pipe on the inside, with openings close to the respective blades, that a vacuum cleaner can be connected to.
Otherwise, its a very neat and well organised job.
Another improvement, could be a folding trestle stand, as the workmate looks a little overwhelmed.
I did something similar for my chop-saw as it became inconvenient to rescue my workmate from under it whenever I needed it for a job.
Two legs attached to a board, connected to another pair with hinged boards, would work, but I made mine fixed, as I have loads of room in my barn, and can leave it permanently assembled.
Where in the UK are you?
As this is an enclosed boxed any kind of vacuum would suck out everything. You have done such a beautiful job, why not apply a vacuum cleaner to it? As a matter of fact it would clean more than regular table saw. Amazing job you have done sir. Hats off.
+niklar55 You have some good suggestions, I am from Yorkshire
+projectmayhemUK
Hi!
I have a long time mate, lives in Sheffield, so have visited Yorkshire many times.
I'm qualified as an engineer, but worked as a builder for 25-30 years, so I'm quite good at finding lazy ways to do things, and brushing out a box frequently would tend to become a bit of a bore.
I have a vacuum chip collector, and it can fill a 100 liter bag during a days work, so the box you have, would need cleaning out fairly frequently, if you did much work with it.
I have a friend who provides the bags, and then collects the full bags for filling pet poop trays, and similar, so if you have pets, or neighbours that have pets, it could be a good way of disposing of your chips and dust usefully.
You could also make two pairs of legs, attached to the underside of your box with hinges, so that they fold flat underneath the box
Regards nik.
Thanks for the video. Genuinely appreciate your work and this project will go great in my garage.
THATS one of d greatest phenomenal Ideas i hv ever seen .
My big big Kompliment for. 👏👏👏
Put up specs (wood size, etc) and I just might build this myself. Other than that, fantastic job
Do you know how to read a tape? There is plenty of information in this video for you to build one to fit your tools, if your an experienced carpenter.
With that being said any special project I do I have a notebook with step by step procedures and dimensions. But I’m writing a book.
any technical drawing available of all the parts and the assembly?

A big and beautiful job, you're a genius!! congrats
I really like this . Nice and simple and very versatile. perfect for an occasional wood butcher like me !
Did you square up the guide relative to the saw? It is not shown on the video that you did this.
That was my worry. Looked like the saw rule and guide were just done by eye.
he edits pretty good he most likely squared it and edited it out because its slow

Bearded Bard i am Level -1 :p
What a brilliant craftsman. Very satisfying.
Amazing design!
The simpler, the better.
Not criticizing, but wouldn't it have been easier to just cut all of the metal plates to the same size (the size of the largest one needed) and then you could drop in whatever tool you needed and secure it with it's matching plate?
Just seems that would be a bit easier.
One word to describe this..."brilliant "
I'll make one for me...thanks Sean for sharing this DIY...!
Стол классный, но вся пыль и стружка будет собираться внутри и забивать инструмент.
не будет, он же коронкой высверил отверстие сбоку, туда будет пылик подключать
This says: "In Russia, every child must make combo table saw like this in grade three."
table saw cant adjust height. router is difficult to adjust and the jigsaw... i have no idea. but still good :)
Why can't you? Just lift the deck, make the adjustment on the saw and close it back up! I mean, it's not elegant but I don't think he was going for that. =)
Reino Brown se
There's an even easier way. I just cut a big hole on one side of the box. Then you can reach in and adjust it.
Reino Brown hi this is Harrison from Zambia

Thanks for sharing this. I can't wait for summer to arrive.
This is a great build. Exactly what I have in mind. Great job sir.
1:13 That's the most crooked straight edge I've ever seen.
Pat Fenis It's for measurements only. Does the job with flying colours.
this whole thing is jiggly and crooked, but i'm sure he's very careful when he's working on a project.

That's the most crooked straight edge I've ever seen.
Александр ForestLamp .
😅seen that🧐🥴
Really?
It was straight where it needed to be. The dog leg at the end did look a bit disconcerting.
When it comes to building one of these in a video, the viewer should assume that the builder can build it perfectly given the free reign of time.
No where in this build did I see "Come build this saw with me in less that 15 mins on your day off!"
I surely couldn't build it any better in the same amount of time and I would feel rather idiotic once I realized I criticized him for making a crooked cut.....especially when I looked in my profile and saw that I've done NOTHING even close to this awesome build and then had 12 EFFING MILLION people view it!
It's more about the process aka journey for the builder and all about the finished product for the viewer.
And if you can criticize this guy, let us see YOUR work so WE can "cut" loose on ya after we "saw" your errors.
LOL!

How much this cost to make in USD?
hard to tell as I got most of the wood for free and the tools I already had, maybe about $150

can i have the build plan?
Ben Aldrich
Depending on quality of plywood, 1 sheet, plus some pine or other hardwood. Use a clamped straight edge until you get the fence slide in
Congratulations from France. It's exactly what I need. Thanks for charing. Take care

There are a few things for diy table saw construction
Find a suitable set of plans online
Find a colleague who wants to build one too so you have someone to help you
(I discovered these and the reasons they work on Wilfs wood blueprint site )
Very good concept but an absolute death trap.
The e stop button is for illustrative purposes only and the full load of the tools is going through the e stop contacts which is bad practice.
The lack of guards on this is also frightening.
Say goodbye to your fingers.
I doubt all the tools will be on at the same time.
I built this. But not only does mine not have a guard, my circular saw don't have a fin, and so my "table saw" don't have a riving knife! So I didn't bother making the fence. As you say, too dangerous to use. I love my fingers. Need them to type on computer keyboards and to play the piano :). I cut everything with a sled or some sort jig I made.
Was wondering about the gaurd on the circular saw, I think it would have worked ok if the gap for the blade had been made wide enough to allow gaurd movement.
He's got a riving knife on the saw. That's enough to guard against kickback. Fingers shouldn't be anywhere near the blade anyway.
I've taken all the guards off any miter / table saw I've ever owned first thing.Lets see.. yep ! all fingers & toes & eyes present.I know it only takes one time lol..
This project is fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Hi mate, absolutely cracking table will be recreating. Thanks for sharing 👍
