My Favourite Area of Delhi, India 🇮🇳

- It's easy to think of India's capital New Delhi as a massive concrete jungle. Most foreigners impressions of the city is that it's chaotic and dirty. Plenty of those areas do exist in Delhi but there's also plenty of nice, clean and peaceful areas.
Hauz Khas is a 13th century village in Delhi and if you watched my previous video you'll know that's where I decided to stay for a few days in an Airbnb apartment.
Shortly after checking in I went out to explore the local area. The streets are narrow with not much traffic. It's a gated area where only residents can enter with their vehicles, making for a peaceful experience as a pedestrian.
I first explored the temple ruins that I could see from my apartment's balcony and then into a massive park that has a walking path around a lake, very similar to Benjakitti Park in Bangkok, large open green areas where people were playing cricket and a deer park.
I worked up a good appetite explore that area so I bought some momos from a street vendor on the way back. I asked for 100 rupees worth, thinking that I was gonna get 10 but actually got 30. Thankfully my friend and fellow CZcamsr Broke Forever ( / brokeforever ) visited me and made sure no momos went to waste.

The momos guy was so honest. He told you 10 pieces per plate of 40 but you understood 10 per piece. Thats why he gave you 25 for 100 rs

This fort is in place called district park in safdarjung enclave we locals use go thr for morning and evening walks before pandemic !!

Dale I grew up in the area and use to visit this monument & lake most weekends, haven't been back here for almost 25 yrs since moving to Australia. Just having a nostalgic moment watching this. Back then it was free entry for all.. keep up the good work!
12:00 as a marketing student, I can guarantee you've got more than 3 subscribers. Those three guys will boast about meeting a foreigner to their other friends and post the pics on Instagram. From there many other people will come across your channel, hence gaining more subs.

Hauz Khas - Restaurant on a 2nd floor terrace overlooking the ruins was in the top 10 meals in my life. Great weather, open kitchen, spotless, fabulous food. I wanted to go back but I was told it had closed. The restaurant looked down directly on Firoz Shah's tomb (I think, it was ~2007).
It was a perfect night. Now I know not to even try to recreate a magic moment like that. While you can create new spectacular moments, you can't recreate an old one. I lived in India for 1 year in a 5 year period.
Was it the one with the big windows that I pointed to in the video?
