- This was not a fun video to put out there, but this is real life. We make mistakes but you just have to keep going. It's good to know when to stop and clear your head when it comes to a custom build like this. I learned a lot from this and the next version of this crawler will be better than I think it will be!!
Remember, this is suppose to be a fun hobby. So get out there and have all the fun you can and be safe!!!

Best RC channel! I would much rather watch you build something that doesn’t work and keep reworking it until it’s perfect than watch the same old buy and bolt on video.
Just keep swimming! Dory said it best! Also, showing the frames that didn't survive is helpful. We are all better for it!
Proof of concept!! You made it work, now make it right!! Figure out a way to make your control arms in a fixture so that they will be the same, side to side.

It's called development! Lots of my stuff ends up in the trash but the final peice is what I want!
I thinkthis was one of the better video's because it shows that even is rc's as with real cars it thats trial and errors to make things work properly for your application and what you are trying to achieve.

Dude! First, thank you for the shout out! And B that’s genius on the front axle! I’m sorry the alignment is off so far. Ifs is such a struggle! Arm rear trailing arms and option for this build? It’ll make the rear suspension softer. If you can’t find small enough 1/10 front drive shafts to shorten the arms, maybe try 1/16 from a traxxas slash or 1/18 main drive shafts for a TRX4M or something. The inside would have to be drilled… just thoughts.
Keep up with building. Everybody makes mistakes while they are building. The difference is, you show it on youtube. And even these vids are being watched by a lot of fans. It's a whaist of time and money but.... it keeps you busy. Good luck with the next attempt.
We've all been there, I tossed out a big piece of sheet metal and key stock for a trailer that went so far and was unsalvageable. Just file this under prototype and go on to the next version.
I totally dig your videos. I totally Frankenstein all my rc builds. From Amazon monster trucks and than getting some used trucks. And totally doing a build based on your kit build video. I totally like building out rock crawlers from all upgrade parts and figuring it all out. Keep up the good work dude

...Although, MAD CREDIT for taking the RISK, (and) doing it on-line !!! 💯 👍 I do some of my own creating, with LCG crawlers, and I have an unlimited array of good & great ideas, that are LEGIT, logical, simplistic, and "functional" !! It is better to break your project down into steps, that are realistic, and achievable !!! ✌️

Love your builds! I've only made a cage out of steel like this, but have always wanted to try out doing a full build. I got a AC/DC tig a while back and have been wanting to try it for some RC stuff. I'm into 3D printing, metal fab, and RC. This has me thinking, it could be cool to do some CAD of an IFS system, print templates to help make the a arms and mounts out of metal.
I couldn't agree with you more, almost every project is a learning experience and a lot of the times the 1st one just don't pan out! Happens to all of us. Just gotta keep pushing on and make it better the next go. Keep up the great work, you are inspiring me to get out in the garage and try some more RC stuff again.
Hey! Looks great. Keep it wood, because RCs look more visible against light background. I thought to write "paint it white/gray", but come on, it will dirt down fast.

The Rc wall came out nice and it should look industrial since your medium is metal, been there done that on the just get it done thing always turns out bad 😢 thanks for showing us that and keeping it real👍 can't wait for the next version it'll be great.

great advice. I do the same thing sometimes, and get frustrated. I definitely need to practice that a lot more. love the build though, and the channel, cant wait to see how the build turns out with the next ifs version.

Hey dood, love what you are doing and your videos are inspiring. Love the IFS idea but I personally like the idea of it being wider. You can use an off brand, capra rear axle because they are wide and have portals. I know thats not super scale but you could turn it into a trophy 4Runner... maybe. With trailing arms instead of links. Maybe with a 2 speed transmission so you can run it as a PreRunner or crawler. Either way, cant wait to see what you do.
First, I've been here a while now, first video if I'm not mistaken. You're doing great. The signature of this channel is doing what you want the way you want to them. Don't change that for viewership. Some of us love whatever you put up. 3 viewers who love what you do and you stay true to yourself is better than thousands where you are performing and doing things you don't want to do.
Second, black will be too dark on camera, if you must paint it, go for a medium grey maybe or white so everything shows up nicely. Maybe film test pieces to see how they appear on camera. You wear dark clothes and have a couple dark vehicles, so don't go too dark where we can't see what's happening like the battle of winterfell lol.

The natural wood look is cool. Your projects turn out awesome. They are happy mistakes, once made never duplicated. If the first design fails, totally, stop, study it, then go back to the drawing board. Your channel is fun as well as inspirational to watch! Thank you!
Personal I’d stain the would rich color that’s pops the grain. But I’m a little old school still think carburetors are the way even tho I have your 4Runner in white.
The builds are awesome I finally got my garage moved around. Now I just need to cut 1”x1” square tube at work and I’ll tig it together for my rc work bench. Other one is for then mtb’s and random auto and house mechanics.

If you like the wood look, use a torch and burnish it a little bit and then clear it over with some polyurethane

Love your videos when I can watch them. I'm into about every aspect of RC n scale. I've been thinking about making a 8x8 out of a Scx10iii and Scx10ii honcho. I tried selling them both. Everyone seems to think they need to knock down the price 🤦 I understand the having to start over. Holding off till I have an exact plan.
If you want the walls custom painted with any designs and/or graffiti style artwork, maybe put the channel name with a cool design around it let me know. I live in the 916 area. Won't charge for labor, all I'd ask is for you covering the cost of any extra paint needed. I already have a bunch of spray paint cans just laying around and will gladly use em no cost for you 🤘

painting the wall black will not help lighting for your videos
I fully agree a couple coats of exterior polyurethane would do much better 😊
After thought use a couple old tires and use a roller tray for tire tracks and then the polyurethane...cooler
