RC TROPHY TRUCK on a Budget

- I'm throwing together a few parts from different brands to create a Trophy Truck on a budget. The goal of this quick build is to see if with a limited amount of cost involved I can still achieve a more scale look than what I would have when using a regular shortcourse setup. The result will be a more detailed vehicle that will not hold up to bashing as well as a regular SCT would, but makes up for that by adding a lot in scale realism.
I start off by using the Killerbody interior that I purchased at Asiatees, a cool looking item for a decent price, on which I did a video in the past. It comes fully finished and the fit is quite universal, so you can instantly skip ahead to detail the rest of your truck

The chassis shown to test fit the interior is the ProLine Pro2, use the code "HemiStorm10" when you check out your order at the ProLine Racing website for an instant 10% discount on your purchase. My favourite part about trophy truck is the suspension, just love how it's set up but I just wish I had the tools to make one out of a Baja 5T.
Speaking of suspension, Chris do you ever see yourself making a long travel kit for the Baja or Losi? I know you can get more travel with longer hubs or arms but when you get longer hubs there's still not much travel and if you get longer arms then it looks un-realistic.
***** Hi there, there have been multiple attempts in the past to make such setups, but they all prove to be a pain. Until a company redesigns a car from the ground up to accommodate trailed suspension and long travel shocks, there is no point in trying to turn something existing into that setup.

Indeed, it just has the look, without seriously breaking the bank. It is more of a revamp project for those who want the TT feel, and have an SCT sitting around collecting dust.

You asked the entire thing, not converting a SC to a TT look. The Pro2 costs like 400, add a brushless castle system, 100 dollar servo, body, interior, wheels and tires, receiver. Could even be a grand. I don't know.

Thats a short course truck, not a trophy truck. Trophy trucks have a solid rear axle and are much different. But yours looks like one from a distance until you really look at it.
