1/10 Scale RC Crawler Trailer is Done!!!!

- Finished the final touches on the trailer to get it ready to rust away! Got all the electronics working (mostly haha). But it is all functioning how I wanted it to. Hope you have enjoyed the build and keep an eye out for the running video with this and the truck putting in work!!

Before BECs (battery eliminator circuit), RC cars used a dedicated 4 cell alkaline or NiCad battery for the receiver. The BEC was integrated into ESCs to allow the receiver and servos to be powered from the motor battery. That way the 7.2v or higher motor battery won't fry the receiver or servos.

Maybe you could build a scale monster truck next. Not too different from your other builds, just AR60-size axles with open diffs, clod-sized tires, and a cage inside the body.

In regards to the battery box, it might be worth lining it with a thin neoprene to soften the noise from all the components in one space. I know from experience with my car and cans in cup holder it makes a rattling sound, but not any more thanks to the neoprene. It acts as a cushion.

You might be able to use heat shrink on the lights instead of those clear pieces.

For the winch, what about a 360 degree servo with drum mounted in the electronics bay? Pass the cable from the 360 servo through a hole, up and over the free wheeling drum of the dead winch.
Should the most rearward LED side marker be red in color?

Cool trailor cant wait fornthe end...i use a dab of hot glue when i use the same light setup as ur using...dries clear and all the superglues ive used dont stick to the paint...always fails...gunna have to go back and watch how u did ur dually setup slower,cause i was lost trying to catch all the details on parts,i wanna make a dually trailor

How heavy is it going to be made all in steel? Building a trailer is next for me as well. I won’t be doing all the electronics and battery in mine but was tossing up steel and aluminum. Wondering how heavy yours became
I’m building a rollback, I have some cylinders in mind but what are you using for your ramps?
For the truck I mad e the bed tilt. On the trailer, I made a 1 piece ramp that has a hinge and a ram to fold it up and down

I honestly dont remember. I believe i got them off Amazon and they are for an RC excavator

I'm going to do a final weight on both the truck and trailer once they are all done with everything on them.
