I used to play this on the arcades and it had a proper truck seat ,wheel and gear stick, accelerator and brakes like in a true truck. I loved it. I wish I could have one of those in my home.

I go to a arcade and every single time I go I have to beat this game everytime. Best trucking game I have ever played. the sounds and voice acting though are very differen't and a lot cooler.
I remember playing this in a super 8 hotel when I was 5 or 6 then played it again when I took a trip to Mexico when I was 7. I loved the big steering wheel that it had. Never freaky got far from the first mission cause for my age I didn’t what to do just drive. I hope I see this arcade again soon. I’m 25 now

@Anthony Suffok And yet American Truck Simulator has huge amount of content, mods included. You can't do so on 18 Wheeler because its an ARCADE GAME, and not to mention that its relatively short as well
The voice acting here is WAY different than in the arcade version. Lizard Tail in particular is the most notable example; in the arcade, he sounded smug, mean and intimidating, but now he just sounds like he's high on meth.

@@GeeTee_ I figured as much. I read on a lot of sites as a kid we was unlockable in the PS2 version if you beat story mode on the highest difficulty setting. I never managed to do it but considering he isn't playable I was better off not finding out.

It’s a arcade/console game and it’s old and sure yeah but doesn’t mean you criticize it I mean it was released somewhere around 2002 and truck simulator was released in 2016 so I recommend not calling out a old trucking game and just compare it to a game that is new
18 years and no one's ever been able to make a trucking game this cool.
