I'm in Europe, we sometimes have Americans coming over who work for the same company. The only women I've seen who are fat in their twenties come from the U.S. They also have all the lastest crazed politically correct beliefs that they use as if it was a fashion. All those beliefs that always spread to Europe with some delay, through Hollywood, are front and center in these women's minds. And they really have a "chip on their shoulder," like American men say. Not all, but too many. As if they're looking for something to use against you. "You're MANSPLAINING to me!" When a woman said that I wanted to hit her. We all have a light and easy humor filled existence and I do not want a family environment that is running on drama and bullshit. I do not like divorce or problems and I want to be certain about it. You have much to learn about life and how things actually work and in addition what things are actually important. Language barrier? English is the second official language of the Philippines. It is taught in every school from elementary up. Some subjects, especially STEM related subjects, are taught almost exclusively in English.
My wife is Chinese-Indonesian and was very westernized when I first met her. English was her THRID language after Hakka Chinese and Basha Indonesian.
She is one of the most unusual Asians I have ever met. She can live without rice, but not without bread. Turns out her father owned the largest breadmaking operation in her hometown of Pontianak. Despite that, we still eat lots of rice in our home. Almost half of the evening meals include it.
She was the one who reached out to me via okcupid while I was stationed in South Korea with the USAF. Despite all of the red flags, she persisted, and we are now happily married for 11 years. She was NOT after a green card nor money otherwise she would not still be with me. Even she is shocked at how stuck-up and entitled white women are towards Western men.
While she is a head shorter than me, that was not actually what I was interested in. My crush was on a VERY tall Asian woman similar to my favorite babysitter growing up(who WAS easily 5'9 or taller). My wife was NOT perfect, and even today she still does things that infuriate me. But I know no other woman could get close to what she offered. "Best fit" or "Best match" is how you really have to look at the marriage scene.
That is the trick in marriage. We all have faults. You just have to try to find as many of the good qualities as you can in a person, and whatever the negative ones, you have to be sure you can live with those.

I fetish being treated well. The last 3 asian women I dated have all been awesome and respectful; something that is uncommon for most American women indoctrinated by marketing and our government. I don’t think these men have an Asian fetish at all. Also, I don’t really see certain fetishes as a problem, possibly because I have a fetish for a certain physical trait myself. It is not a fetish; it is male adaptation. It happened to me in my 20's. I joined the US Navy and was stationed in the Philippines for two years. Previously, I had only dated white and Hispanic women. I have never even really met an Asian woman while living in the US. During those two years living there, Filipino women were the only choice I had. I quickly adapted to my situation and thoroughly enjoyed my time there with the many women I encountered. Never had a single bad experience.
I did not know I had made a total switch until I came back to the US. After two years in the Philippines, I had reverse culture shock coming back to the US. The thing that stuck out the most was the behavior of women. Everywhere I went, the airport, shopping mall and restaurants, I kept hearing women berating the men they were with in public. This would never happen in the Philippines. IF this happened, it was at home behind closed doors. Nobody else around me seemed to notice, but it irritated me immensely. I did not understand why these men were putting up with that kind of behavior in public. They needed to be hoe-checked badly! After seeing all of this, I knew that there was no way I was ever going to be able to have a relationship with a Western woman.
My two years in the Philippines back in the early 90's was life changing. Getting to experience a culture that is not gynocentric is something every Western man should experience at least once. To all the ladies, no, men are not fetishizing Asian women. Men have adapted to what Western women have become and have decided to reject you and to find someone who is more in line with what they want in life. In a perfect world, millions of men would leave the West for Asia permanently.

When I was a kid, foreign men of wealth and prestige would come to the west seeking women of value here to marry. That doesn't happen anymore. The women of the west are seen as "bed warmers" by the men of the world, not worthy of marrying and having a family with. The best western women may find dating overseas these days are "hobo-sexuals" looking for a green-card to come here and then the men will dump THEM. That's the best they can hope for overseas.

My Mother and her friends put me off Western Women, and the girls at school and college. Then one evening I met 2 Malay Girls at Warwick Uni and this changed my life. I was 19 so started young. My first Wife of 16 years was Philippine but in the end THE FAMILY was the reason it came to an end.
Now I have found perfection in China 19 years ago and our Daughter loves our story. My Cousin was so impressed with just how lovely she was that when I mentioned "That We had found someone for him" He then at 44, jumped at the chance. We are both happy. Our Mums eventually came round to loving them.

I grew up in a mostly Filipino city in northern California. The juxtaposition between white American women & Asian & Latina women in attitude towards Family & children was astonishing. White American women didn't have a chance. They hated men & saw them as nothing more than wallet with legs. And they didn't offer anything not available to rent by the hour. Luckily being in California I didn't need to travel anywhere to find cultures with women that value family & fathers. All I had to do was steer clear of most White & Black women here, which isn't hard to do when your city is mostly Asian & Hispanic.

Well it's been a long while, but as I remember it wasn't high standards, it was fucked up incomprehensible standards. Also, in fairness, I had a bad tendency to go for the ones that didn't want me and didn't want the ones that did go for me.
Well, i have been dating for some time at home, with no success for many reasons, and will after dating a Asian for 3 years now and found that i have a better life in so many ways. Anyway, it's not because they are better. There are good girls at home, too, but finding them is a challenge. Maybe also easier to get in contract with Asian people as they are more easygoing in my experience. Anyway, me and my girlfriend I just feel we work well as there is no fighting, and we talk about things and solving potential issues before it becomes an issue. Gentle nature and help full is the vibe . I never look back. Anyway its never to late im 55 and my girl is 48 happy days ..

Who defines fetish or preference? I think that some Asian women are the most beautiful in the world. What also makes them beautiful is their knowing what will make a happy marriage and homelife. I work with a Philippina that is new to the US, she is married, and I am jealous of her husband, LOL. She is not the most beautiful woman physically, but she is totally beautiful! The most beautiful women in the US cannot compete with her. She wants to introduce me to a nurse she knows back home. I am sorely tempted!
