I'm in a LDR and I've been to see my Filipina twice for two weeks.
When we transferred to whatsapp, the first thing she told was she was poor, lived with her extended family and had a 13 year old son.
I asked her what she wanted, she said she wanted someone to look after her, love and care for her and most importantly stay with her. Cards on the table straight away.
She is the most loving, caring, attentive, woman I have ever met. I'm strange, I really like "clingy". Her family are such wonderful people and I love them all.
I am returning to PH for good in three months and will be living a provincial life with them all. They never asked for anything, before I left I bought a car full of food for her mother, which cost me about $25. She cried so much I thought she would never stop.
I have been freed, born again into a new life. She is my princess.

A filipina will probably take anything you give her. When you go into a relationship that will transform into an expectation. Additionally, their culture haggles for everything. You may get haggled/bullied for a better deal for them.
A filipino man knows to say no and throw up an iron wall. That's all you gotta do. It will actually make you more loved. A woman will deeply respect a man who will not allow her faults to destroy them.
That's some additional perspective on this. You still should be very aware of those red flags. It's just that even a good girl can grow a gold digger mentality if you spoil her. You gotta nurture the right things. Not doing so will set you up for pain down the line. Women don't always know what they want or need in a relationship. They just want to be in one lol. It doesn't actually matter if the filipina was raised by a single mother. Philippines is not like in the US. Even single mothers in the Philippines raise their child right. A lot of single mothers in the Philippines are caused by abusive partners who most of the time physically hurt them or some just impregnate them and left them but those single mothers are still have a family that helps take care of the child and the grandfather acts as a father figure to the child. Filipinos are family people and cares about the children.

Most important thing you should know about Philippine Family Culture is that the woman is considered to be the financial manager of the family. The husband works but it is the woman who takes care of the budget. If a filipina wide does not have access to the family finances then she goes crazy because it is against everything that she has been brought up to do.
All Filipino husbands know that as soon as they get their salaries that they hand it over to their wives. There is even a joke that ATM means Automatically Transfer to the Missus. This is something you will have to get used to. You can't expect the wife to take care of you and the family if you don't give them the financial resources to actually do that.

I have been going to the Philippines since the year 2000 and I was married to a Filipina. Over the last 22 years I have visited the Philippines many times and seen how they live and understood the dynamics within the family set up. The first thing I observed is not everybody gets a good education and can afford to go to school. For example, a girl who is now in her 20s, was raised by parents that grew up in a time before the Internet. They knew very little about the outside world or even outside their own province. This has been the case for 500 years. So the girls of today have got a different view of the world because of the Internet and the access to Communication. Their children will have a different upbringing because as technology advances they will move away from there grandparents views as modern viewpoints replace the old ones. Also the amount of foreigners now going into the Philippines to find wives has times 100 than before the year 2000. It will change eventually, but it takes time. Good video and have a great day. 😊

I mean I have spoken to few women from Philippines, and people who are talking about them being after money sound like they have never dated a woman in the west. They sense of entitlement is mind boggling. Imagine your wife never paying a penny for anything, divorcing you and taking everything you have. You end up on the street. Sending £100.00 as a gift to someone who takes time to chat with you for hrs on end is not making you homeless or something similar. If you are 65 yo and want to chat to an 18 yo, what are you expecting? I spoke to a woman from Philippines for few months. She was amazing. The only problem I had with her was the she was still grieving the loss of her husband at a young age leaving her with two children. I got “fed up” with her crying every time she mentioned her late husband. My selfishness didn’t let me understand the magnitude of her loss.

I'm glad your experiences with Filipina is not putting us in a box yes I agree every Filipina is different and evey Southeast Asian has varied cultural & traditional attitudes. Now are you referring to Filipinas only born in the Phil 🇵🇭? cuz i find the attitude of Filipinas born outside of their country in most cases will have grown accustomed to the western attitude, unless they were raised by parents or a relative that carrys the traditional, moral, & cultural values. Western man I've dated have common misconceptions good or bad of what a Filipina is suppose to be in (some cases) they may think its easier to take advantage of us if they think we're suppose to be submissive or that we're not as smart as western women so they can get away with things. I think the best biracial relationships are embracing similarities & differences, being open minded to an extent. Respecting one anothers time, space & boundaries without being demanding. Having the man as a spiritual leader & the woman as his true companion friend through thick & thin & everything in between!

So don't date them thinking you are gonna get anything special . Open minded is Code for letting them screw others 😂😂😂😂

Because Filipinos are happy people and they value the importance of shame or being ashamed to do something bad or something that can make others feel bad, they are not used to people who shows irritability and anger in public. They also don’t like to be embarrassed in front of a lot of people. They are very sensitive. Once you are talking to the Filipinos and you get angry with them, you have to hold your temper and talk or show your anger to them in private. They can understand if you will be angry because they committed mistakes and it will be easy for them to accept and adjust, just don’t embarrass them in front of other people because most of them will never forget that even when they get old.
