- How to saw a straight line! It's a critical and fundamental skill for any woodworker, and fortunately it's pretty dang easy to do once you know the fundamentals and practice a little. Instead of just rambling to the camera and trying to show off, I taught my wife (who had never used a handsaw before) how to saw straight!

The mirror image is a trick my dad taught me when I was very young and it has followed me throughout my 66 yrs. I knew you'd cheat with the miter saw - LOL. Stay safe.

What a good woman.most would of told you to go to hell n left.lol.but obviously she understands your just trying to teach her.now you need to sew a straight line on the sewing machine.
She's pretty grand. Believe it or not I've done a bit sewing, mostly during service time. Sewed on quite a few patches and did some hemming. Nothing like she does now.
@@YouCanMakeThisToo i had a mom that worked days so i had to learn how to sew my pants up.the crotches n zippers were always ripping out n i learned how to tie stiches n sew at a young age.good at tough areas now.you can't rip my stuff out.
Great video and great tips Caleb. Just curious, would you be able to recommend some good hardwood dealers around the Memphis area. I'm having trouble finding a good hardwood supplier here.
The Woodworking Shop in Bartlett is good, but very expensive. There's Hood Distributors in south Memphis. City Wood and Woodland Tree Service, also Big River Hardwoods.
