    Nice haul! Love all the Crystals. An LED in the hole is a creative idea. See if you can get it to change colors. Keep the goodness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒

    🤩🤩🤩. Definitely, nature’s art. ❤️
    I love the little worlds inside those types of crystals. I could spend all day with a loupe and microscope, looking at the all the minerals and points.
    Thanks so much for sharing 🤘
    Stay Crystal 💫

    I always take time to look at new spots each time I go out. Thanks for putting the wood back so many won’t. That makes me happy 😃 Those delicate vugs drive me nuts they always break apart when I find them here and I stopped hunting them because of that

    • @WorldofRockhounds
      @WorldofRockhounds  Před 2 lety

      I always try to do what I can to make sure to put things back as I found them. It's only out of respect to whatever may use it as a shelter. Doesn't matter if its bugs or a little mammal. The woods are their home, not mine. :)

    The crystals look so clear and sparkly! Beautiful finds. I hope you'll be able to uncover more of them. I like CR's idea with the water. Maybe one of those sprayer tanks you can pump up? Thanks for sharing the adventure!

    I went to a house in Brownsville and the guy lived on the hill and when you walked up to the front door on the right was about a 4ft vain that was a wall of quarts crystal and whip through the middle of the house.

    I've been to that spot numerous times. You're missing out if you haven't gone further up that road. It goes for MILES. I have chunks of agate weighing multiple pounds from that spot, as well as a chunk of that filthy skeletal quartz as big as a standard house brick. Keep on lookin'. ;)

      @WorldofRockhounds  Před 2 dny

  • @CurrentlyRockhounding

    I wonder how that wall would look if you washed all that dirt off with a garden sprayer or something like that.
    It kinda seems like they might be already fractured by the freezing weather. Maybe working down past what would normally freeze would be good.

    • @WorldofRockhounds
      @WorldofRockhounds  Před 2 lety

      It would be cool to get a lower grade pressure washer to use on that wall. Just reminds me of hydraulic mining that the gold miners would do, just on a 1% scale :)
      I think it's a mixture of being fractured due to weather and the thin walling lining of the crystal wall with a hint of digging in the wall where the impact energy causes the surrounding material to force pressure onto the void and cause it to fracture before even being exposed.

    Hey, if you need help, I'd love to come adventure with you. You can keep your secret spot; we could go somewhere else. I get excited watching your videos and I usually go alone or with my My Mom (she likes rocking). Anytime let me know. I live North of Brownsville, in Albany.
    I understand if you wouldn't feel comfortable because I'm a stranger. Please dont feel awkward if you dont need a digging pal, I understand. I had to try because I need to do more activities with friends with similar interests. Or if you have recommendations for a club, that'd be awesome!

    • @WorldofRockhounds
      @WorldofRockhounds  Před 2 lety +1

      I may be down for a future hunt! There used to be a rock club in Corvallis but I don't know if they still run that club or not. It's been a hot minute since I was a part of it. I do have a couple rock hounding groups on FB - Oregon Rock Hounds, Washington Rock Hounds, and of course World of Rock Hounds. Those are also great resources for finding local clubs that I may not know about or creating meet ups.
      Feel free to send me an email too at worldofrockhounds@gmail.com

    There’s almost always something good when you have red clay 🤷🏻‍♂️ I thought it was just a Midwest thing but I think the red high iron content clay is a sign of hydrothermal activity. At least it seems to be. It would definitely be cool to put a light in one. I have quite a few pieces I’d like to try that with.

    • @WorldofRockhounds
      @WorldofRockhounds  Před 2 lety

      I'm hoping there are other clay spots like that out there. Maybe I can find a HUGE pocket haha
      You should definitely light some of your crystals up!

      Not to sure that's clay. I think it might be basalt, only highly oxidized to the point of disintegrating? Either way, awesome finds!
