Cool stuff! Love the drone shots. Great video dude! I almost never find anything green in Missouri… unless it needs cleaning… then I find tons of green rocks 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 most of the time it’s algae. I did find a couple pieces I think contain some malachite but that’s it so far. Definitely no jade here.

Most of nepherite and jadite is found in 5-8 places in the world.
Nepherite dies off around Montana and only as far as the cascades from alaska leading all the way to Guatemala on the america pacific coast. Not much found on west pacific coast. But in burma there is actual jadeite or imperial jade which is the clear stuff china wants.
So being your that far east from where it originates makes sens you wint find any. But finding malachite is awesome! Just dont lick it!! It is a heavy carcinogen!!!

That one you tossed at 5:25 looked like the dendritic kind. The cracks dont always go all the way through. Next time cut into one. You will be glad you did. Never know until you cut into it how translucent they are in the middle. 8:00 reminds me of actinolite schist. It takes a nice polish. 17:20 dragon's eye. I would test that one. Great job!

i so want to find a nice piece of that. The shot at around 4:43 to 4:46 made me drool with all those rocks to search through. Was this on the river or around the lake. I googled it and it would take me a bit over the hour to get to the dam. Would I be able to park nearby and not walk far to get to look for what the river/lake has to offer. I would love to join a group search if you ever put one together Andrew! Hint, hint! I know I can buy it on the Internet, but I love the adventure of being out and about, searching, even at my age and my decrepit body! LOL
