- Today 10th March 2024, I race the Biwako Marathon in preparation for the manchester marathon next month, with a 60% potential in the back of my mind to run a marathon PR if the condition presents, let see. Either way, I'm here to enjoy it.

Yes it's was, must be the best race ive done 😃 Its great when you go somewhere and it's better than what you expected, only wish I could have stayed longer.

That looked a really great experience and a big uplift on the post race food compared to most events in the UK.
Thanks, the in race candy sweets were really nice too. Post race soup, served by their national army was lovely and free. The post race teriyaki beef wasn't free but at about £3 a pop very good value (melt in your mouth moment 🫠 ), though it did sell out before the end of the day and had the biggest que 😂

That's a good way to put it 😃 cruising all the way. Yes I was ticking over waiting to put the power down when the chance came but because of the wind I played it safe until the end, worked out really well and didn't take too much out of myself with manchester now in a couple weeks

Matt, love the Biwako race experience, thank you for filming and sharing, appreciate that it's hard to run fast especially in the cold holding a GoPro. I am aware that running and marathons enjoy special importance in Japan, and your video shows that nicely with the passionate crowds and bands lining the course. Kudos and well done!

Yep, never imagined I'd be running London Marathon! Have also entered time after time, hence so thankful to (BTR) for accepting me running for them!

Was a winning day even without a PR !
The Candy's were really nice too, even if we don't eat them that much. The beef's local and famous too that's why it's there but taste great, even better at 35k or whatever it was !

Thank Mack 😁 glad it came across like that. Yeah when do they give you beef in a race, not sure it's a performance gain (might be) but I'd do it again and again 😂
