I think you're on to something. I was thinking that she used to be so good because she focused everything on gymnastics to block out the other stuff. Now, with her being vindicated, her abuser punished, and her mental health break, I think she's living her best life yet. She fought hard, two battles at the same time, and won them both. She's already the GOAT. I think she's doing this for fun.

Im old enough to remember when the standard they compared everyone to was Comaneci. They made movies about her, but this is so far beyond that. Gymnastics has advanced so far that it makes the 70s and 80s look really simple, even though I know it was hard back then!

I just love her, her work ethic is breathtaking but most importantly is her ability to put her health and wellbeing ahead of everything else that should be hailed and it’s something that every young lady should be taught from day 1 to the girls in our world, we should strive to let every girl know how much she is worth and that she can choose her own path wisely.

How many gymnastics fans remember Olga Korbut and Nadia Comemici? Yes, I know that was years ago. Simone Biles is so far ahead of their level(s) that there's virtually no comparison. She may not have known what the "GOAT" meant at the time the term was applied to her but she certainly does now.
They were excellent girls---doing what they were coached to do, but Simone Biles brings a woman's maturity to her performances.

I love Simone's talent and feel she's beyond compare...HOWEVER - what impresses me the most - her humility! She sets, in my humble opinion, a fine example of diligence, common sense, and a pure love for her artistry! LOVE HER for stepping away from competition to seek support for her mental stability. To me, that is a fine example of humility! Suppose a young gymnast is struggling from a similar ailment. Simone's example gives that Precious Little One the courage to seek help! GOAT: When natural body mechanics meets practice meets mental acuity meets dedication meets beauty= Simone Biles.
Simone is absolutely amazing. Her precision and difficulty is unmatched, especially doing so at her age. I did gymnastics in the 90s…Never even close to her level…Leaving the sport at level 8, but this was the Era of the Magnificent 7 in the mid 90’s Olympics with Shannon Miller (who I think at the time was considered the GOAT in women’s gymnastics), Dominique Moceanu, Kerri Strug, Dominique Dawes, Amy Chow, Amanda Borden and Jaycie Phelps. That team was the epitome of greatness and it’s only gotten better since that time for the USA gymnastics team.
Simone is on a completely different level than any other gymnast I’ve watched….and she is and likely will always be…the GOAT. Her passion and dedication and humbleness is a huge part of what makes her the best! She’s absolutely electric and people not only see that in what she does, but they feel that passion and drive she has as well.

She works hard to maintain muscle mass. She is earning her medals due to her expansive workout schedule. She doesn’t win because someone else fell or failed, she goes to a place in her mind where no one else exists. I would like to see her recognized as Simone Biles-Owen’s, her legal name. not that i could ever do anything like what these athletes do, but i love seeing how they stab at an attack the moves. simone to me looks like shes having fun doing the almost impossible, not even there to get the medals but showing the others that all she can do is possible for anyone who wants to get it. medals are the icing on her greatness. i used to watch nadia and then mary lou do these activites and simone looks like a machine goddess of all the women stuffed into her body, pulling and pushing every drop of talent into her moves. her body is a machine and she has it tuned perfectly. and im sure she will continue to inspire young athletes for decades.
Even more than raising the difficulty of gymnastics, I am most impressed by the way Simone had the COURAGE to know when she had to stop in Tokyo for her mental health. This will be the example others need to reach out.

I love to watch are these new generations. I was a gymnast way back in the 1970s. What they are doing now we thought would be impossible.
Simone Biles is a magnificent artist and athlete who also proactively inspires her fellow gymnasts with her strength and generosity. This is her human side. Her superhuman side is just how far she dominates the gymnastics world. I've seen comments to the effect that gymnast from the '60s, '70s, '80s, & '90s were more dainty and artistic...but, while I appreciate those gymnasts' work, they lack Simone's explosive power & control over her amazing new skills.
This amazing young lady has set the bar beyond phenomenal! She's proved herself time and time again. She's blessed beyond comprehension and athletic ability! You go girl and the rest of the team to represent in Paris. We're so proud of you guys! Take all the golds💯💯💯

I cannot wait to see what she does in Paris. She personifies greatness and she is so cute, and humble as she does it!
Her body size is perfect for gymnastics. Simone stands at only 4’8” tall and has weighed between 104-110. Her weight gives additional power that no other gymnast has. While other gymnasts are called fat, piggy, etc., she is showing everyone that being sickly skinny may be hindering other gymnasts instead of helping. She is built like a BSH. Thank goodness she has never attempted to get below 100lbs because all other gymnasts are doing it. Looking back, a lot of gymnasts may have far exceeded abilities if coaches focused on strength and power and not being so tiny that their bodies can no longer function properly. She truly is redefining gymnastics!

I was so upset about the cute little black gymnast in Ireland- When they snubbed her and refused to give her , her medal...even when she went home without it they didn't do anything until the newspapers picked up the story from her mother. Simone sent her a special gift and signed it. I do hope she still has enthusiasm for the sport! I saw her little face and felt her disappointment... her face said "WHY???"
