Touchdown Machine - Trent Richardson Birmingham Iron Highlights

  • Trent Richardson's semi-successful attempt at reviving his career. During his brief stay in the ill-fated AAF, he showed off a nose for the endzone, and reminded people that he could break tackles with the best of them. Richardson also flashed some good hands as a receiver out of the backfield. And with as porous a line as the Iron had, quarterback Luis Perez needed to have a back he could reliably check down to.
    But darn, 2.9 YPC is not a good number, even if his line was subpar.

    While everyone has talked shit on Trent Richardson I’ve always been a closet fan yet still laugh at the jokes lol. Trent Richardson is my favorite of all the runningbacks that played for Alabama. He obviously had a shit nfl career but man he was so fun to watch in college. These highlights are great, thank you pockycandy. Maybe Trent Richardson might make a comeback lol

      Richardson basically taught me that runningbacks are a complete crapshoot once they hit the NFL. T-Rich is the best back to go through Alabama during the Saban years.
      And if you would like to share this on social media, that would be great too lol

    I heard Trent Richardson got a call from both NFL and XFL for him to continue his football career but I feel like he should go with the XFL because if the NFL bring him back to the Browns I feel like he's going to be screwed up again.

    He can still be a good short yardage goaline runner in the NFL. For that right team that is.

  • @Aumarus
    @Aumarus Před 5 lety +1

    I think people have to put in perspective that the Birmingham irons Luis Perez was absolutely terrible at reading coverages at a professional level at times. He truly handcuffed the team’s successes until the teams were forced to abandon blitz’s due to the limited defensive formations and play calls the AAF allowed, as far as schemes go.
    Definitely read the description box boss.

    Seriously though, I expected a lot more out of Richardson in his brief time in the AAF. The touchdown numbers were nice, but it seriously looked like he was running in slow motion half of the time. The guy had no burst whatsoever. His line wasn't good, but nobody's line was good in the AAF, and that didn't stop other backs from putting up better YPC averages. Richardson was adept at breaking tackles, but he really struggled to get through whatever holes his line provided for him.
    But on a more positive note, he showed off some very good hands out of the backfield. That might get him a shot in an NFL training camp. And those Iron uniforms were sweet. I'm a sucker for all-black uniforms though.
    As always, feel free to let me know what you'd like to see next. If you watched my video from a few weeks ago, you'll know I have some big projects already planned. But i'll still try to accommodate some requests.

      Somehow this kids WEIGHT ballooned! Not sure if it was roids or what but he was damn near 240lbs at 5'9 ...and that's NOT the kid I remember at UofA backing up Mark Ingram! He's never been FAT tho, that's what's so strange.

    Vision learned at bama -0 was he strong yea maybe 10% more in college from senior year of high school that’s why while Alfred Morris who isn’t close to his weight has more yards as a power back both pcola boys ... bama runs backs into ground and has them just do what they were recruited to do 4 yards after that it’s gravy that’s why a gator from eacambia has 20,000 yards lol
