Thanks guys! Bought a spa pass prior to my cruise on Breakaway. On sea days went to the spa right after breakfast (what a refreshing way to start the day) and then off to activities I chose on the Freestyle Daily. There was a lot of time during the day to relax and have meals according to your schedule. 😁

I will be breaking rule #2 also on my next cruise which is in 7 days!!!!!! SO Excited! It's a short 3 day because it's my hubby's first and we wanted to do something short in case he hates it. :) But I plan on not getting much sleep! I took an extra day off from work to rest when we get back!
A lot of stuff to cram into 3 days !! Hope he loves it & you can do a longer one. Enjoy !!!
I enjoy the sea days as much as the port days. Planning is my thing! I want to do everything. It was so enjoyable to get back to the cabin and read the freestyle for the next day. So much fun! Thanks for all the advice on today's video.

Lol! I’m that drill sergeant with the clipboard! But with good reason. If I don’t plan, it doesn’t get planned. I’ve learned to space things out so we aren’t exhausted anymore. I do prefer to do my spa on a sea day. That way it doesn’t interfere with going out on port days. Thanks for all the good info guys!

In March we completed our families 11 day Panama Cruise with
10 of us. I was able to book dinner
reservations prior to embarkation through the concierge. With our party being so large I needed to
make sure we were able to dine together.
Funny you mentioned about reserving deck chairs. My Dad’s daily ritual was to go upstairs to
the sun deck (we were in the Garden Villa) and watch the deck hands set up all
the chairs. Then he would see who would
be the first ones to put their “stuff” on the chairs and leave. He got the biggest kick out of seeing the
deck hands either say something to them or just pick their stuff up and take
it. The deck hands were very diligent
about rude people putting their stuff down and leaving. Of course Dad was thrilled he didn’t have to
compete for a deck chair. We enjoyed loads
of family games on the sun deck on sea days, spa treatments galore, especially
you could get 10%, 15%, 20% off if you booked one, two or three of certain
treatments. So there were some discounts
especially for the pack we herded down to the spa. We also used sea days for family portraits
and pictures in our suite. Believe it or not we got tired of the specialty
dinning. The Jade has only five
specialty restaurants and we had 7 nights of them. We found the complementary restaurants to be
just as delicious as the specialty ones. We thoroughly enjoyed the Free Style daily and
did all sorts of stuff. My parents who
were celebrating 64 years of marriage were recognized by the Cruise Director
and given some lovely gifts during one of the evening shows. As that was my last cruise for a while I cherish
the memories. Thanks guys for another

I am an early bird and it amazes me when the breakfast buffet opens at 6am or 6:30am the people that are ordering drinks...not mimosas but beer and hard liquor!!! The favorite part of my cruise is in the evening when I am about to sleep and I read my Cruise Compass (Royal Caribbean) and daily newsletter!!! Love your shirt Kevin!

Great info! We just got back from an 11 day Greece, Italy, and Malta cruise on the NCL Spirit, only 1.5 sea days so not much time to recoup! Looking to do New Zealand and Australia next!!

On my last cruise, I missed out on the only show that I really wanted to see (aerial artists) because it was on a port day, one showing only and I had an evening excursion planned. I was so bummed but the excursion was great! (Bermuda triangle sunset shipwreck tour).
Tough choices had to be made...but in the end...you had a great time !!

I will admit I am a "going to relax" type on a sea day. but the last cruise I was on was a 20 day cruise with 15 ports. so we were very busy most of the time. the sea day was a nice relaxing day. of course we saw the shows and such.

We love sea days. We lay by the pool, check out the entertainment in the Piazza, play trivia games. Evening is heading to the theater, dinning, then fun by the pool at night. On Princess we end with movies under the stars!!

just got off the NCL escape, a family had put the towels on 5 of the deck chairs. and left. a crew member put a sticker with a time on the chairs. about an 50 mins. later someone was looking for chairs i told the person that any minute now the staff was going to remove the 5 towels and she could get them. 5 mins before the time was up the family showed up. and they were pissed that the other couple was hanging around waiting for the chairs. funny to watch the whole thing.
It certainly DOES become quite the show sometimes !! LOL

Just because you're on a sea day, doesn't mean you can sit naked on your balcony -- my friend told me of an incident when that happened on his last cruise (not him) where the wife forgot her husband was on the balcony and locked the door and left the cabin for the casino. He was stuck there for a while and got pretty cold....
She forgot him !!?? Typical married couple ! LOL

There are some reservation you can’t make until you get on the ship. Make sure you go to a kiosk, box office, or Maitre D. As soon as you get on the ship. Everything books up. Also get there as soon as they allow you to do you can make your reservation. If you snooze you lose.

On a sea day maybe a drink at 10:00a with breakfast/brunch have to do a Bloody Mary - :). Agree with most of the things here.

Cruising with wheels lol! Many of my friends and family tell me the same thing. I have tried to get the skeptics which are many on my BM train to no luck.
Balcony, book, room service. I am usually exhausted after a port day, so recovery is my goal. Hubby plays cards with his friends or supports the casino. I love sea days.

FYI every time I “like” a video you get TWO from me cuz I watch your videos on my internet TV & when I want to comment I go on my phone CZcams so I can comment. 😁. We are going on our cruise, like I’ve told Frank, in November on the Breakaway. I can’t see us starting to drink at 9am but I also don’t see us even waking up at that time either!!! No way in Hell on our vacation (of course I have COPD/Chronic Respiratory Failure) are we gonna go to the gym on our cruise!!! I love this video though! We would never be chair hogs, damn those people!!!! Lesbians would never do that!!! 😂. I love Kevin’s shirt! I have one that says, “Next Sarcastic comment in 3...2...1...”. 😁

The ones that annoy me are the ones in the observation deck that take naps in the couches. If you want a nap go to your room other to people might want to whale watch where it is warm
Yes !! We saw a lot of that when we sailed the NCL Bliss. People all over the couches lying down...bare feet...like they were at home.

Hi Guys - any idea how many formal nights on a 13 night RCL cruise ? Going on explorer of the seas in August
They do between 1 - 3 formal nights on sailings. On a 7 day sailing...there are 2 formal nights....so I would imagine your sailing would have 3. But remember.....everything is at the discretion of the Caption / individual ship.
I do that sleep but not all day. It's the best time to rest.

Just move the lounge chair. Replace it with another chair. Usually it's the location of the chair that's being reserved.
See if that works !
If you make reservations at home before sailing and newsletter shows something you want to do, how do you change your reservations?
You can make changes when you board the ship. It depends on the cruise line / ship as to where you go. Could be guest services.....could be a special desk area in the atrium....you'll have to find out.
Sea days are dialysis days ... Breakfast & lunch in the cabin... Short nap b4 dinner... All the fun starts after dinner... but nothing to strenuous... Dialysis can be physically taxing...

Lol a boat. Well i got a little lecture by ships crew on the interislander which is the ship that connects the north and south islands in new zealand. I asked can you tell me what time the boat will park in picton. Well.....after a horrified look i got educated. "Firstly this is not a boat its a ship and we do not park we berth" lol. Ive never made that mistake again.

@@Cruisingwithwheels well one thing I love is a nice rock and roll which is why I take day excursions across the strait. If it's rough I book one. So in that sense I can sail I don't get seasick however....I can't be inside and can't see someone else sick or else I do get seasick.
Love your videos....hope to see uou some day on the sea! I often grab my chair on the lido, but l am in the pool or hot tub for an hour or more. Do you think that's okay? I like to havr my chair close to the pool so l have a seat when l get out. I may not be in my seat but l am in the hot tub....is that a no no too? What say you,? Usually my husband is quicker to get back to our chairs than l am though.
If you're out at the pool / hot tubs....being your cruising selves, that's fine. It's the people who get up early...drop this stuff on a chair and go back to bed...or go to the buffet and are not at the pool at all.

Disney has stopped using the paper version of the Navigator. It’s available on the ap they still have paper copies at guest services but they go fast. People are really hating this change and I hope they stop it before we sail in October.

I have only been on one cruise but I did start drinking at 9am every morning with a "tipsy" coffee :) I am very good at pacing myself so It was fine!

If saving lounge chairs is such an issue why haven't cruise lines offered a program where you pay a couple dollars a day for a reserved set of chairs from a set time period? They could make a fortune and deter even further saving chairs
I could think of a few reasons...how to control it and worrying about guests complaining as they do, about cruise lines " nickel & diming " on everything.
@@Cruisingwithwheels i burn easy even with sunscreen. I am fair skinned so saving chairs isn't an issue because i hate feeling like i am baking under the sun so I am usually walking through out the ship. I don't think cruise lines nickel and dime for everything I think you have to be smart and read the fine print.
dont buy dont plan dont make a budget sea days are my favorite days i love the smell of the ocean watch the sun come up watch the sun go down swim take the water slides there are plenty of shady places on the deck most ships have bands on the deck and dont forget people watching

Great to hear they remove personal items from chairs if no one there using them. So selfish to think you can save a chair for hours on end ! This is an issue at all inclusive resorts too ! People saving chairs for 2 to 6 hours and not using them . Never done this and never will as to me is childish behavior. If no one sitting at that chair after 45 minutes then someone else should be using it
People's selfishness is getting worse.
