I get this a lot too. When I was a teenager people thought I was in my late teens early 20's. Now I am 30 lots of people think I am in my early 20's. Even my 51 year old mom looks like she can be in her late 20's. My 74 year old mother looks like she can be in her 50's.

@@Sterling.H I mean, Says it in the comment, Don't it? It's been a while, So I'll have to go off memory here.
Lead Dev had a bunch of inside info on a ton of other fangames, Mostly things like secrets and screenshots of unreleased assets that would spoil a number of fangames, as well as using all of that and their influence within the Fanverse Program to shudder up-and-coming developers' chances at getting their games recognized.
It's all I can really remember off the top of my head, But you should look into it yourself if you wanna know more.

For anyone wondering, the McDonalds coffee incident was actually a slander campaign done by McDonalds to make sure no one else sued them. Their coffee was WELL ABOVE THE SAFTEY LIMIT for the temperature

Yeaaah the coffee was shown to have burned her skin well above what a normal hot beverage would've but I guess 'spill coffee on the lap and get a million dollars' was too catching a headline to look past

They were serving the coffee at ludicrously high temp, and refused to pay for the victims hospital bills, and they lost the ensuing court battle and were punished by a fine upwards of 3-4 million dollars. In response, McDonalds spun the story to the media that the victim spilled it on themselves while driving, and blew things out of proportion, to set the narrative of 'ridiculous lawsuit claims'. They basically drug this woman name through the mud, so they wouldn't get any more suits. Up to that point McDonalds had injured over 200 customers with unsafe coffee temps.

The appreciation for fast-food workers lifted my heart. I've worked 12, 13, and 14-hour shifts multiple days in a row with no break and no food during my shift. And I was still required to perform at the max with a smile on my face. It's nice to know that some people do understand what we go through. (I work at Wendy's)

Hearing matt talk about the stress service (especially mcdonald's) workers go through on a daily basis is the ultimate form of therapy for me, nothing has ever felt better. Working in that industry almost game ended me so hearing someone be understanding of that is very nice

I don’t know if he points this out, but the entire primary mechanic of trying to time something in the middle of a bar is exactly what you do for ultimate custom night old man consequences! Such a cool connection!
16:50 fun fact for matpat here, the chance of you melting before touching the surface of the sun is very low. While the immediate surroundings of the sun is one of it's hottest part, it's by the same reason one of the coldest. -> There is almost no matter around it, only a few particules (obviously few is relative here, there are more than billions but for a very large surface). So unless you are unlucky, you wouldn't encounter any particules (so no heat) before touching the sun. If you do touch one, it's either losing the touching limb or immediate combustion (nobody has tried it yet to see which it is :) ).
ALL THIS is omitting one thing, rays. Everything said is true if you have perfect ray/radiation protection. If not, you wouldn't even come to close to it or even go far from the earth without immediate death. But it wouldn't be burning, huge deformation and instant cell bursting but no combustion until the sun !

The conversations in this video are wild. We went from sandwiches to flinging yourself into the sun to previous jobs to broken bones to lasers
I was just relaxing listening to their strange conversations, MatPat's rage caught me so off-guard, I actually fell out of my chair. And messed up the sketch I had spent way too long on. And had to do it again, but it of course came out worse than the initial one at every turn.

As a 28-year-old that usually gets mistaken for a 19-year-old. I completely understand what Mirror Mat meant by "young passing". (My boss didn't know I was old enough to drink...)
In order to fling yourself into the sun and not suffocate before reaching it you would have to travel at nearly 4 times the speed of light.
Mirror Mat is kind of right. Not only would all your bones break but all of your body's mass would be converted into energy
So basically, you would desintigrate.
Loved the more podcast esque format of this one, the banter is always fun to listen to!
I think it's super interesting when Mat and his team are discussing FNAF world and describing it, I realized that the VR game wasn't the first time we were introduced to code and glitches and stuff, that's awesome!

CLEARLY I missed a fair few of these, because I missed when Ash joined up. Either way, pleasant off-screen voice is pleasant, and they fit into the vibe, so cool!

I find it intriguing that with the element of people's souls being trapped in video games that discussion has not resurfaced of Old Man Consequences and the question of what, if anything, is canon from FNaF World.
I personally think that old man consequences is Cassidy's brother, due to the fact that in UCN he talks about she should leave william alone, and to let go of her anger

Jumping into the sun has been a thing I've joked with my friends about when I get stressed out for actual decades. To have someone else talk about launching into the sun was very funny to me.

Ahhh old school gtlive feels, debating about food, hottakes, with a sprinkle of ragepat, I honestly love the banter with the hints of fnaf every now and then hehe.
the sound of mat dying inside at the end was so inevitable that the moment he got the first x i was prepared for it.
A game you should really check out is Three Random Archives. It's if the FnaF 2 - 4 minigames were full length standalone titles. You play three short minigames all within one singular game. It has some interesting lore and mysteries, that I know MatPat will enjoy picking a part.

The way you're supposed to launch yourself into the sun works as follows. You basically harness the pure energy of whatever emotion is motivating you to do this (embarrassment, anger, etc) and find a cliff or something. Then you just use that energy and just hurl yourself upward. You'll make it. It will also allow yourself to survive UNTIL making it to the sun, so no worries about suffocation.
(Please note: This is a joke. DO NOT hurl yourself off a cliff with the pure unbridled energy of your rage or other emotions. Or even in general)
The one time when Mat didn't look like he was still in his 20s was probably that brief period of time when he cut his hair extremely short. It was a few years ago, but I can't seem to find GTLive videos of it; trust me, you'll know when you see it.

Have you heard of the game Bad End Theater? Markiplier played it a few months ago, and I think Matpat would enjoy it. Its not very action filled, but it’s a neat little game. It’s $10 on Steam.

As an ex-employee of McDonald's, they do that whenever that store needs more employees, so instead of waiting for people to come in asking for a job, they put in flyers saying that they're hiring
For anyone feeling queezy in the 21:30 ish mini game bit, when seeing the corners of the screen warp, try focusing on the center of the stream and follow try to look at just the character
The darker bunny character is most definitely glitchtrap, just under darker lighting to better contrast the blue effects.

Fun fact: lasers are pretty much everywhere. Barcodes are read with lasets. DvDs and CDs are read with lasers. There's a lot of small things like that.
Its just they arent used for big things like death rays, so we tend not to think about it.

Imagine if someone was capable of getting 1987, then a Golden Chomper appeared, then you got a custom night, sort of. That would be amazing
Ash had a voice that is a mix between a video game NPC with PHENOMENAL voice acting, and a therapist with a 4-star rating. She truly is such a sweetheart. When she said "Don't put yourself down" I immediately said "I like her already."
MatPat I have something for you - the lore of Chomper's is that this new Chomper's restaurant was a Freddy Fazbear's Pizza location with new suits on the animatronics. That would explain all of the references to the fnaf lore in the game. Because, it is still the same characters.
I love that! It reminds of those concept unification videos up on CZcams where it's showing the rockefeller explosion animatronics getting skinned and turned into chuckie cheese characters.

MatPat I noticed something about the final ending in chomping with chomper, if you watch the short cut scene it looks like that ending from sister location when you finish the custom night. The cut scene looks a lot like that image of spring trap that came with the message from micheal. Hope this helps with lore.
2:03 Matpat, I order from Dominos last month and I got a flyer just similar to the one you got for hiring people. I think its a strategy by companies to hire people.
Also McDonalds has a thing going on where they help with tuition assistance to their workers going to select colleges as part of their Archways.
