Andrew what a surprise, was researching for an assignment and was just using your video about punk, afterwards finding this video
Remember, Bernie was the _mayor_ of the town when he did this. He went to the mall, he found a couple of weird looking teenagers, and he interviewed them. He didn't make fun of them, he didn't cut them off. He asked them serious questions, and when they gave him shaky, nervous answers, he just asked them to explain further. He treated them with respect.

I think these guys had pretty interesting opinions. I can imagine that it was very refreshing for them to be able to speak their minds. And I get why they might not be entirely well-spoken about their opinions since they never get sound them, but it was still interesting to hear what they think.
That a very kind way of phrasing it. I know a lot of people who would hear this and conclude that they have vague political thoughts and don't know anything about the world. But you're right, they probably never got the opportunity to voice these trains of thought in a calm, understanding environment.
I definitely think they had solid views. They just did not know how to articulate them.
Would've been a whole lot cooler if we were in the second term of President Bernie Sanders right now.

Not very articulate, but they stepped up and spoke out, and I agree with their opinions.😮😊
I feel like since Bernie let them keep talking they quickly ran out of the usual phraces and slogans they probably always use and actually started to reflect a bit before they spoke. It is important to encourage adolescent teenagers in that way if we truly want them to develop their own thoughts.
I'm 48 I still dress like that. LOL

Anyone notice how civil these two were? They didn't cop an attitude when Bernie analyzed the way that they dress. They tried to give their opinions as clearly as they could. I was very, very surprised with how well they made their points. Mike especially put his views pretty darn eloquently. Even someone who was against the man realizes the dangers that communism can impose upon a society. They are frustrated people, but I still see plenty of sanity and dignity.
By comparison, they wouldn't get along with today's cancel cutlure, sjw, marxist crowds. People like to say that decades ago was the same situation as today. That's dead wrong. People in this country were far more agreeable and understanding decades ago. They were willing to have the conversation. Everyone believed in free speech and not oppressing anyone, including your neighbor. today's far left is quite honestly just an out of control cancer and it needs to be cut out.
I am not a fan of Bernie, but I can honestly say that I do enjoy hearing his conversations. If Bernie was more balanced, with a solid blueprint for the future, he just might have had my vote. I am a Republican though, born and raised on a farm and ranch. Democrats do not support my families way of life, they only care about big cities, corporations, big tech and entirely too much government spending.
Great video, great conversation. I truly miss the old days. I was 3 years old when this conversation happened. The 90's were honestly a very ideal decade to grow up in.

@@oliverhann6815 And we have had Trillions already spent by the current administration that caused beyond record setting inflation and they want 3 trillion more for utterly worthless ideas (we all know they are lining their pockets with our tax money on personal investments). 70% of American citizens are currently living check to check.
The afghanistan situation has made our country look weak and incompetent. Not to mention 13 US. soldiers died needlessly and many more civilians are still stuck there, most likely a good amount have been killed.
Our borders are not only purposefully unsecured, the administration has already welcomed in 2 million illegals with NO background checks. They have been caught on video illegally transporting the illegals by plane to different locations in the US. Our tax money is paying for them as well.
Big tech companies are wildly out of control with censorship and "Woke" practices. They are supported and promoted by this administration.
Then we also have illegally forced vaccine mandates for the past 3 months. It was determined constitutionally illegal by the supreme court. Yet, the administration got away with it for so long and are still pushing it.
These are only the bigger issues. There is plenty more. This administration just took the title away from Jimmy Carter's administration as the worst in US history. It only took them a single year to do it as well.
This administration is beyond corrupt and clearly just a tyrannical one, against the US.
They are against dressing a certain way to fit in, while they dress a certain way to fit in
