  • There are a lot of websites and companies out there selling fake Hydro Flasks that aren't authentic but pretending to be. One of the biggest give aways for a Hydro Flask being fake is the wording printed on the bottom.

    This sucks because I found a fake hydro flask site that has better designs than the actual hydro flasks 🥺

    I have a fake one but I love it because it works just as good as the real one so I have no problem with it.

    Finally received mine and after comparing it to my current HydroFlask I had a suspicion it was a fake due to very noticeable differences in build and quality. This video helps to confirm it. Thank you!

    i have an older model hydro flask with the old logo design [hollow bowtie] and a lead vacuum sealing dot in the bottom [new hydro flasks are all lead-free]. the text in the bottom is all-caps "made in china" "designed in bend, or", serial number.

    The fake ones also have a copyright sign on it next to the logo

    I just ordered one and it has the same words on the bottom as the real one but it has a copyright symbol on it, is it fake?

    I’m confused cause your real ones show no copyright emblems at the emblem or name and the fake ones do. Mine are ordered right from hydroflasks website and they show them.

      With or without the copyright are both real. I have read about it.

    Mine has the engraved/etch markings on the bottom, not print, indicating it’s likely a fake. I bought it in 2015-did older Hydro Flask models by chance use etch markings on the bottom?

    • @ellisvillage
      @ellisvillage Před 3 lety

      Same. Mine is at least seven years old, purchased at a reputable sports retailer and it has all upper case letters + the product number

      @@ellisvillage Oh awesome. Mine’s probably legit, then (as is yours)

      @@AnvitaPatwardhan I think so. I pulled up Hydro Flask's website on the WayBack Machine's website and it looks just like those produced back then.

      They are not fake it’s an old model, I bought a hydroflask in 2016, and one in 2020. Both from the hydroflask site it’s just a newer model.

    They refund without question, but they have all of the info they need. These companies are only working to build profiles of our names, addresses, and payment information, they have no interest in selling products. Its all about information collecting, funneling, and selling. If and when you choose to confront a seller like this, do it through official channels (paypal, ebay, etc), and not through ANY links that you receive from the seller through a confirmation email or text - these links can have malware embedded in them and you may compromise your own security in doing so. The telltale sign of these illegitimate businesses: 1) they have a website similar to a legit company; 2) the web address initially looks legit when you click through from a Google search, but the actual web address is something completely different; 3) the confirmation will come from a business of a completely different name (if you receive one at all); 4) the payment will be received by a 3rd different business name; 5) customer service is relegated to email or text transactions and will have an email address for yet another business name.
