Rodon and £30m is a great bit of business. Archie isn’t a 40m player. Yes, he’s got the potential to be one and could be a £100m player down the line but it’s only potential and we don’t have the luxury of waiting. He’s also 100% profit from a PSR perspective, which is important. The sale can help us bring in six players this window, which will make us a far better team.

The terms of Archie's contract need to protect Leeds from being disadvantaged by his huge potential for a massive increase in his value. He will be a £100m+ player in 5 years' time. Leeds could easily stitch themselves up....we have history in this field!

@@brianbell3836 we don’t have any creativity in midfield if you take away Summerville on last seasons form we don’t have a goal threat ether Think and guessing the points will be spread more evenly over the teams in the top half of the table next season if that’s the case getting 90 points again looks unlikely.

Having a release clause doesn’t mean Archie wants to trigger it. It sounds like a standard clause that every player probably has. His lawyers probably told him to add that clause, I don’t read it as that’s what Archie wanted.

If they fell out then im sure his brother wouldnt be playing and they would pursue further options. I know it’s logical what you’re saying Conor but for some reason I am feeling sentimental about this one. Often use the Eddie Grey suite and see the family in there every week family at the same time school as the boys they are Leeds through and through. I guess I am mostly pissed off with the situation we’re in, if we went to the Prem we’d be getting to see him grow with the team potentially to our very own superstar. If there are offers for gnonto and Summerville why not take them instead.

Kamara can go, we need a progressive midfield, not the sideways/ backward passing of last season. No goals and very few assists coming from our midfield in open play says it all.

Rodon plus £30m is good business. Archie is good, did well last year, but didn’t see any evidence that he’s world class.
Conor you said in the Joe show that Archie stays if your in the prem. you can’t say that. Clubs in the prem are having to sell their best players to fall in line with PSR. If anything your cost base goes up when you do go up and so it becomes unaffordable to hold on to these players. I think it’s not as black and white as if Leeds are in the prem Archie stays. Forest sold Johnson after one year of being in the prem. and only did that because no one wanted Johnson the yeae Forest got promoted and certainly no one was willing to pay 35m for him. It’s only after he showcased what he can do in the prem in the way of assists and goals people got interested. Take the money and run!

My idea is that people underneath are angry because we seem keep selling many of our assets, and the point is we want to see some of that money comming into the structure of the team and keep building the squads strength and depth , but we seem to have definitely not been getting enough of .

Why do today’s players get hyped up so much, most are average at best. They have perfect surfaces to play and pass on. Have they actually seen the players and the state of the mud field’s they had to play on back in the 70s & 80s. They played with passion and played for the team not their bank balance. I stopped watching football a long time ago but when I do venture into the realm of the so called entertainment I despair at what I see. £40 million for an unproven youngster is great business for any team not just the delusional lot at Leeds.
