The last year when I was about to buy a new dartboard to replace completely destroyed winmau blade 5 dual core I almost decided to buy One80 Gladiator due to positive reviews and pleasant price but at the end I have bought another winmau B5. No regrets, Winmau B5 is still one of the best dartboards but It's quite expensive, more that Gladiator and quality is the same.

I wish PDC had Gladiators and not that shitty Unicorn board.
It’s a great board the original one apart from the spider that started to come out of one side of the board. There was no way of banging it back in without damaging it. Hopefully they’ve sorted that issue out now

I have been using a Gladiator 2+ board for a couple months now, after seeing the video and comparing the boards I do not see much of a difference between the G3+ and the G2+. I do notice a great difference between the original G2 and the G2+ I have not played on a G3+ as of yet but I am going to get one from Santa lol. Good review. Thanks for the closeup pictures.
It's not always easy to see what is better or worse with different versions of boards, will have to update in time though 🙂
Will be good if the spider is in fact secured better, had the spider on the Blade come out of the board for me and seen a few more boards do that. Good info....
Yeah I think its a fairly common problem, that and lumpy boards with the sisal coming out. Lots of things can affect the way boards wear though and I think some are probably just a bit less good from the moment they leave the factory sadly.

Thank you for your review on the one80 Gladiator111+. I have one for over a month now and it still looks like new. I just it a spray of water every now and then. I would recommend it to anyone. Just as good as the Winmau blade 6 dual core..
No problem, you should not really spray with water though unless you live in an arrid climate

I’ve had a G3 and getting another one soon. Current board is two years old and still is great. Love the rotafix system too. I’d love to try the Mission board but shipping to the US makes for an expensive purchase.

Thanks! I dont play as much as I used to due to all my various aches, but try to get at least 30mins a day if possible but depending on what is aching sometimes I can go for a week or two without throwing.

Nice 😊 Shot are nice boards but the spiders are too thin, can break easily, if the spiders were stronger then they would be great. Been a while since I last had one though.

Mine has huge gaps between the wires and the sisal. Very disappointing. The outer bull ring is covered in green paint. Not the quality I expected at all. It’s only came today. Not happy
Thats why I said I hope you get a good one, I have often said boards are hit and miss as there is not the same consistency as with darts but I think most boards have some acceptable issues due to the nature of how they are made. Once they leave the factory though other factors can affect them, like how they are transported and stored in warehouse/shops. If its a really bad one then you can raise a complaint I guess.
Needed a board review as I'm thinking of getting a new board. I'm using Grandboard's Burning steel tip board and it's wearing nicely, it may have about a few months to go before it's officially dead. The bullseye is toast though.
Never heard of that one, did not know Granboard made steel tip boards though :)

It looks a nice board but..... Argos has the blade 5 on at £26. Early Xmas present for myself
I wish i had a pound for every time ive lost a section and had to re shoot it but another top line review buddy.
I had a bad experience with the gladiator 3 and like all the big boys do i find them ignorant bastards I tried to reach out to them because you said the boards were very good and i trust your judgement.
But i was ignored as usual a real shame because ii would have put out a follow up video to reset the balance but hay ho not to worry.

Yeah I have done all the issues with recording, had times when I did a whole video of me throwing and throw well which is rare for me and then realize I forgot to hit record button. From all my talks over the years with lots of people and the brands about boards I am firmly sure now that its a bit of a lottery, some boards are just bad as soon as they leave the factory for various reasons, but on the whole from feedback of others and my own experience the G3 has been great, there is definitely some bad batches out there just as there is with B5DC, I have had 2 B5DC that have gone lumpy in no time. As for them been ignorant, One80 is near impossible to contact these days, never used to be though, think its because they have spread out in different areas so much and its just not easy to get hold of anyone. Seem for a lot of the brands now though, its why I dont bother unless its someone I have know for a while already, nightmare when that person leaves though. Cheers! :)

I would going by my previous experience with the G3+ but as I have come to realize boards can be very inconsistent for many reasons, some have had great ones last a long time and others not so good, I think its a bit of a luck of the draw type situation in the end :)

I had 3 gladiator g3 normal boards with rotafix for less sound, play daily 15min to 1 hour. All 3 boards lasted 4 months max. the spider came out every time. Now second blade 5 dual core with rotafix and those lasted a year each, just as quiet. Normal G3 is shit.
I have had two Blade 5 DC that went lumpy in a short time, so there is just a case of some get bad luck with boards but the main problem with the G3 seems to have been the spider lifting out, but they have meant to fix that with the G3+. My G3 lasted well though and is still in good nick, lasted better than the two B5DC's I had anyway.
@@DartsReviewChannel that’s funny. Just the other way around. But the spider problems are the same with g3. Overall the sisal was still fairly oke, but mainly the spider was crap. I bought the g3 for least amount of noise due to your other g3 vs blade 5 video. I think you can just have bad luck sometimes, maybe due to how the shops stockpile the boards? Temperature etc. My board is in my living room so that should be fine with 20 degrees. I really like the rotafix mount though, but doesn’t mount that easy on a winmau because of the center bolt wich winmau doesn’t have.
@@roderickverduijn2750 Yeah this video was actually a fair bit longer as at the end I spoke about all the reasons I know that mean we dont all get consistent experience with boards, lots of things can affect them, storage is a major issue but also the temperature and condition of the glue, the natural quality of the grass while it is grown and even the time of year it is cut, so many things really, so all we can do is go by what the majority opinions are, so for me the best boards are G3, G3+ B5, B5DC and probably the Bulls Advantage, I have a new one I am trying soon though :)

Hi mate, its always hard to recommend boards to people as they are never 100% consistent. I would normally recommend the G3+ but a guy on the forum recently got one and it was a bit rough out the box. I think how long they last will obviously depend how much you use it. Either board should be ok though but I would still lean more to the G3+ but if you get a dodgy one dont blame me lol! :)

Gladiator 3 is by far the best board on the market, very long lasting even with grip points.
Haven’t played on the 3+ yet, hope they didn’t change too much about the sisal.

Hello Sir! Im planning to buy my 1st board and planning to buy this one. Sir, just wanna know if the board is still ok? so many people are saying the board is already hard after 5 months. Well its a firm board from the start anyway, mine is still fine but no two boards are alike and the conditions they are used in can have varying affects on it. If you like a firm board then its a good one but if you dont like a firm board then maybe a Blade 6 would be the better option :)
Are the harrows razrs ok for a front gripper and would u recommend them or what others

Hi there, Was wondering if the bracket for this dartboard is the same as a mission samurai or a winmau board as they all fit onto the same one or whether it's abit more awkward like a shot bandit as I'm thinking of getting this board if it will just slide onto my current bracket. Many thanks :-)
Yeah it fits on a normal bracket :)
Thanks for the reply :). Going to be purchasing one of these soon. Currently have blade 6 triple core and its just far too soft and the red being so dull really ruins it.
@@jaydoyle7380 Yeah it gets very soft once its broken in, the G3+ is quite firm so should be better but as I often say boards can be very inconsistant due to the natural materials they are made from :)
Hallo, i have a question concerning the way the board is attached to the wall. Can you put the board on the wall without the rotafix and just use a screw like with the unicorn boards?

Winmau Blade 5 is the best
And compared to the blade 5? That is what I am currently throwing at and i quite like it. I think the blade 4 was better than the 5 though.

I have had lots, at present I have the Mission surround, they are all pretty much the same really, I think they are around £30 but I think Darts Corner do a Designa one for about £25.

I had the Gladiator 3 in the past and now I have the G3+. I find both dartboards being great. Out of the box, the G3+ is much nicer. I'd say that my previous G3 wasn't the best one of the batch... Neither of my two Gladiators had the BDO logo printed. I bought the G3 with the Rotafix but haven't used it until now with the G3+. Can't say if it's less noisy or something, it's definitelly easier to rotate it though. BTW, always rotate it by three black segments so that all the segments are changed naturally (8 to 20 or 10 to 20). My previous G3 lasted 1 year, then it started bulging from around the trebles area. I've been using the G3+ for 5 months now and so far so good. If I should buy another dartboard right now, it'd be G3+ again unless someone convinced me that any other dartboard is significantly more silent, as the noise is one of the main things that I'm concerned of when buying a new dartboard for home. Blade 5 is an awesome dartboard, however I only used it for 15 throws and had to get rid of it.

I've had two B5DC boards that went lumpy in less than a year, but I think boards are never fully consistent anyway, too many natural materials and environmental conditions that can't be controlled, also I think that all brands have not so good batches. All we can really go by i the general opinion from users so from that I think it's still between G3,G3+,B5 and B5DC, for me it's the One80s boards 🙂

My gladiator 3+ seems to have gone rock hard, i played on it for 6-7 months then got a blade 5 dual core which i started using again for around 6 months. Ive now pulled my gladiator back out the cupboard and it feels solid compared to the blade 5 🤷🏼♂️
I think its a firm board out the box to begin with, not sure why it may have gone harder though? Mine is in my converted loft space and feels like its the same as when I first put it up but the last two Blade boards I had in the same space went all lumpy, so far the G3+ has not. Think my Samurai 2 feels like its got a little harder though.
@@DartsReviewChannel it was soft as s**t when i first had it, softer than my blade 5 anyway. It just went firmer, now ive got it back up again it just feels really hard🤷🏼♂️
Just revieced mine and the BDO badge has been removed.
