- ■ Lance Stroll has had a very poor weekend in Suzuka, even though his car was mounted with ‘aggressive’ upgrades that helped his teammate Alonso propel himself at P6 in Sunday’s event-ahead of both Mercedes drivers and Piastri. To top that off, even the qualifying pace of Stroll was nowhere near comparable to Alonso, who was at a certain period setting the second-fastest times with the AMR24, so with a lot at stake for the Silverstone-based team, the question is - should Lawrence continue endorsing his son in his team, and is it finally time to move on now that ‘bigger tycoons’ have entered the chat of buying a serious and commanding stake from Aston Martin?

He was able to get several P6s last year so he's definfitely talented or he would never be able to do that.

Sainz to AM with multiple years contract, Alo extend with 1 year contract to be replace by Tsunoda (because of Honda) in 2026 when Alo will retire.
The stuff that made everything worse is the fact that he's still treated as a n°1 bis by the team.
Always has the upgrade first and sometimes preferential strategy call.

If advertisers didn’t want to pay to advertise with a team that included Lance, then they shouldn’t have signed a contract to advertise with a team that included Lance.
If the sponsors wanted to advertise with a winning team, then they should have advertised with Red Bull, not a midfield team like Aston.
Lance should move on to WEC car development for next year and be replaced by Yuki Tsunoda for 2025 and beyond. If Alonso stays in F1 next year? If not Carlos Sainz is signed by race 10 this year when Alonso needs to make a decision.

We've seen the best Stroll has. The car is better than the driver in this case, and almost any other driver on the grid would be driving Strolls car to higher or at least more consistent finishes. When the car was nowhere near competitive it didn't hurt having Stroll in there, but you can't tell me that a more gifted driver wouldn't be giving back better feedback to the team to help make the car better at this point!

He should move on to other racing categories like GT3 as he looks really demotivated in current F1 seat. He had his time and he should not quit racing maybe just finding and discovering his passion about racing in other racing categories.

In F1 it matters how much money a driver brings with him to the team. Let’s remember how much Lance has brought with him! Teamed with a more experienced driver he will continue to improve his skills. The fact that changes being made favor the more experienced senior driver are to be expected, that is one reason why he is there. Also, the way that Lance came back from his injuries to get back in the drivers seat show just how passionate and dedicated he is. If you are not a racer yourself, it may be difficult to understand these points.
Sorry, kiddies: you don’t get to choose who drives for Aston Martin.

All the stroll haters are conveniently forgetting that the strategy and setup for him in this race was absolute trash. They pitted him 4 times and put him on two sets of softs.
