I do wish there were more sound libraries available for the iPadOS version of it. NotePerformer? Berlin? Cinescore? Spitfire? Why can’t Dorico make any of these available for iPad Pro?

Mostly because those companies haven't made iPad versions of their libraries available like they have on MacOS.

Maybe you have it muted? Sounded great, here. Play it again and press 'M' key a few times to toggle mute off & on to see if that's it. (Or look for the speaker icon with line through it. I like shortcuts, though.)
I also have an issue (in Windows) if I recharge my bluetooth headphones. Afterwards, Windows shows they're still connected, but they don't actually work until I disconnect and reconnect them. Maybe it's just my headphones? I've not used BT with Windows until recently. Hope this helps. 🖖😎
Edit: To clarify, I have to disconnect them in the Settings app, under Bluetooth... then reconnect them there. After I unplug the charging cable.
