In 2018 I was introduced to Malayam cinema with Maheshenta Pratikaram. Fahad Fasil sir killed it there. From then I have been his and Malayalam Cinemas fan. Though he has done so many great work but I think for most of the North Indians, Aavesham is his magnum opus.
It is strong writing and direction which gives the solid footing for actors to show their craft.
Take this sequence from maheshinte pratikaram. I don't know if there is a better sequence where a young man discovers "enlightenment in photography" from his father who says photography cannot be taught, but can be learned. It appears real and possible, with no exaggeration.

1. For movie analysis didn't see any mention of the art work (costumes), filmography, background score, direction none...
2. I hope you noticed that the movie had usage of couple of languages and the ease with which the transition were being done..
3. Repeated takes are luxury stuffs, budget definitely would be a challenge (30 cr budget).

Just watched the movie, and i feel so sorry for Ranganna. He's a broken man on inside, just looking for a true friend in a world where everyone is with him just for his power and money.
Amban was almost equal to ranga. Too good a performance from Sajin as Amban.

kyunki ranga gunda tha but phir bhi wo ek emotional wala londa tha (almost ending me uska character rote hue breakdown hone se pata chala tha).isliye us hindi wala do londe ko marne k liye gaya tha but most likely ranga ne usko ruka honga kyunki uske sath wo do hindi wala until the end uske saath loyal tha like the character amban so usko marne se mana kiya honge.that is why un hindi wala londe ko intentionally dikhata hain
aur sadharan gunde log janwar ka dil hota hain..wo udhar emotional nhi banta hain.but ranga is different kyunki even wo Gunda ho but wo bhi ek insaan hain na..that scene exactly shows ranga has humanity for the three boys and all of the people he cared about
