In this video, Adam goes over what the hands do at impact with these 3 simple and easy drills. We like to use a drill that we learned from the UT coach and we call it the toss the ball drill. This drill helps you feel what the hands will do at impact, by creating forward shaft lean!

Hands down best instructor I have seen. He breaks everything down so it’s simple to understand. Wish he was in Florida!!!
Best golf instructor on CZcams! I appreciate you.
Thanks!!
Totally agree what you really meant was : Best golf instructor. Period
By far the best golf instruction channel on CZcams! Porzac Golf Rocks!
Great detail, there's so much more here if you take it all in.
So good!
Excellent as always 👍. Simple explanation without any fancy stuff. For me personally I feel it better with my trailing hand (maintaining the angle). Other than that everything is on the spot. Thanxx Adam !!!😊
Very good tip, wonderfull 👌
Very well explained and understandable 👍
This was a game changer for me!
Simple to understand tips
I think I save every single one of your videos.
Thank you!
Another amazing video
Thanks Peter!
Another great vid guys! Very timely for me as I'm shifting from being too 'wristy' to using my body rotation to square the face. Are the hands in the same position at impact as they are at the top of the backswing or have they released slightly by the time they reach down to the ball?
Our favorite go to drill is the “Set Go” drill where from the set position we make a full body turn to the top. The downswing will begin with the lead hip going straight back and the grip being pulled through!
To answer your question, yes that angle created should be held longer to increase forward shaft lean!
Andy, with the drills you give (hip bump), do we need to deloft the club to get more distance on the ball with the club.
Ibget mixed up ...is it ok to keep my clubface closed on takeaway using the modern swing or do I do the 45 degree takeaway then just turn ...
can you say what's the best sway gap numbers between chest and pelvis at impact for you ? about 3-4 inches ?
BRO you gave me an epiphany. I realised ive been swinging by clubs like a tennis racket. No left hand involvement at all. everything feels so much better after relaxing my right hand. Your hand domiance tip has fixed my consistency. Question does this left hand dominace extend to all clubs including hybrids woods and driver?
Oh yes! The lead arm should be the dominant arm in all full swings!
Dang! Homie behind you has a real nice swing. It looks as though he has no wrist hinge which means he has insane core strength to turn like that and not get handsy at all. Impressive

Does anyone know if this feel of the handle and the hip pulling through to the left apply to the driver swing?
That would lead to more of a block with the driver, you need to feel the club head swing to the back of the ball and your lead hip opening up!
@-2:27 LMAO
Need to practice impact position. Tend to not hit the ball solid with the wedges.
As mentioned in the video, we like to hit our lob wedges with a lower trajectory. This will be a indication that there is more shaft lean! 👍🏽
This is for irons or driver/hybrids as well?
Too much shaft lean can be bad. There is an appropriate amount. A lot of teachings I see stress rotation shaft lean and hands forward. That can all be overdone! Some golfers have that problem. We need some vids addressing this.
Agreed! This is the tendency that Mason Greene is working on. Having too much shaft lean can create too much lag in the swing causing blocked shots to the right. If someone has this problem we want to have more release with the trail hand.
Appreciate the comment!
Honestly the majority of amateurs flip at impact and release too early. I think it’s easier to reel back excessive shaft lean than to teach increasing it. If you’re doing too much shaft lean you’re not releasing the hands at impact.
There lies the value of good instruction and in Adam Porzak you if not the best certainly one of the top 3 golf instructors in the world the guy knows his stuff and passes the acid test of being able to demonstrate his teaching not all can do that allied to a charismatic personality you cannot help but want to connect to Adam Porzak.
So what about the people who are right handed and play left or opposite?
Our dominant hand is our trail hand.
I hit solid but because of this playing style it can cause issues.
No one ever like to address this question .
So good!
