    You’re a bit like me, i use cheap parts when I can find them, a cheap servo for me is around £4/5 quid, a cheap servo for the scale builder is around $80 dollars, same with escs, i use hobbywing 1040s , 3 for £14 quid, he uses castle escs or better,$140 dollars or more, same with motors. So I love seeing someone else who uses the less pricier options lol 😂. Are you going to be giving it a hammering when she’s finished, maybe try to see if anything breaks or let’s you down. Niiiiiiiiiiice video man. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧

    Great review. Some very useful information. I've just ordered one of their fake TRX4 chassis. They don't come with portals so was eyeing up these or similar if I wanted to get a bit more clearance. 👍

    Glad I searched for this….I recently saw someone pop a set of Axial Cupra (?) portal axels on their FTX Kanyon so muggins here is off looking for vids of similar ones….will check out your other vids to see how these hold up…but they definitely look nice and not nearly as bad as some ‘economically efficient’ stuff out of the orient.

      I hear shimming pretty much all axles and especially Chinese is a must. Very often the cheapest Chinese parts are zinc alloy cast and this makes tolerances shit. You can get shims (not rc shims) cheaply from ebay

    There is no way in hell that you get enough CNC machine time for GBP80 to machine these, even in China. They are definitely cast. How are the axles holding up?

    • @RccarsUK
      @RccarsUK  Před 3 lety +2

      Yeha they where OK, but the portals had a little back n forth slop due to tolerances...
      I've actually sold this build now and built a 6th scale again... That's using actual cnc axles that are £30 each 🤣👍

      If it's a 1/10 crawler you're building... then you'll either want an ar45 width axle (same width as axial scx10 / traxxas trx4)... or if you're building a 1/8 crawler...you'd want am ar60 width axle (otherwise known as a wraith width axle )
