- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new cleaning motivation clean with me video! I needed to get my whole house cleaned before a birthday party, nothing was too bad when looking at each room, but as a whole my house was in shambles. slowly but surely it happens after a while. Especially in this season of life for me with a new baby and birthday season! My mother always said "Cleaning house is like stringing beads without a knot" 50 years that has been in my head... especially while scrubbing toilets and mopping floors. As always , thank you for motivation that makes me smile.
My Mom used to say if you clean it, no one will notice it, but if you don't, they will! I always thought that was silly as a child, but it has stuck w/me as a Mom!

Yet we still go out and shovel even in the storm because if you don’t you regret it later. I have a very steep driveway. I always try to get as much off as I can while my husband is at work. He is a waste management specialist, a fancy way of saying trash collector, and is out in the snow/ice/cold all day.

We have four kids and we made the decision early on that the kids would have friend birthdays on their odd birthdays and family parties on even birthdays. That meant I didn’t have to plan four huge parties every year. Love the video and thanks for the cleaning motivation!

Growing up, my Mom used Murphy Oil Soap to clean our wood floors and cabinets. It doesn't take much; she just put 2-3 capfuls in a bucket of warm water. I still love the scent. And I love your videos! Thanks for being real!
Had to 'rewind' bc I missed some, & Meredith hid a few toys behind her pillow on her bed! She is the cutest - was trying to help her Mommy clean, so she put one thing behind it, then got distracted, & then put a few more! It was entirely too sweet:) What a precious little helper!

My bought my shark vacuum 4 years ago and it’s still amazing. I make sure to clean it out every time I use it and change the filter/foam piece inside. I’m amazed how much stuff it picks up. I LOVE my shark.

The timer trick has been a life saver for me!! 💜
I can never find the motivation to start and am always overwhelmed! Setting a timer for 10 mins allows little victory’s and encouragement to tackle more! My motto has become “progress over perfection!”

I love your videos. Because you saying "it's good enough" actually really helps me. Four kids and I always try to make everything"perfect " and that's just so stupid. The car I have is a Chevy Traverse and every single time I start my car I thank God because I have a beautiful car and it's a blessing.

Kim, sharks warranty is insanely good too… we had when that a part went out on it like 3 years in . I called to get a replacement part they sent me a brand new vacuum minus the attachment and handle (which I already had of course) … so basically after a 3 minute conversation I got a brand new vacuum… best costumers service ever

I have had my Shark for five years now and it really gets put to the test everyday. I love it so much that I purchased a second one when it was on sale. I'm in my 60's and I have owned my share of vacuums and my Shark has been the absolute best!
The best vacuum is Rainbow!! It’s a water vacuum, it never runs out of that suction power and my mom has it for over 7 years now. Amazing!
I felt the same way when I got my new vacuum. I wanted to clean the whole house when I got it. That quickly faded.

I love that vacuum I had an older version of it❤ I use a cordless for downstairs and I have a shark canister for upstairs. I couldn’t keep lugging the shark up and down the stairs even though I am 72. I am in great health, just got too much for me so I gave it to my one of my granddaughters. A note on the car situation. I have 4 kids so needed a van to seat the masses. I got a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. I LOVE IT!!!! If you get the "limited" model it has a vacuum inside (speaking of new vacuums). Mine has the third seat in the middle row, you know cause kids and friends! It's a great car it would seat your whole family! By the way I'm new to your channel and seriously binging it!! You're great!
We went from a Dyson to a Shark as well and love it! Originally we had fell for the whole wireless trap of the Dyson but the container was so small, attachments stopped working and the battery life was awful! Our Shark is super powerful and we love it so much more and it’s wired!
Well Kim... The vacuum. I had a Dyson too. When working out of the house, I gave my teenager tasks. One was vacuuming. Short story long...he vacuumed up doggy poopoo. I came home and and found my vacuum in the garage. I now have a shark and love it. I think the suction is better than the Dyson!!

I’m way old school as far as vacuums go. I bought a Kirby Classic III with all the attachments back in 1976. Only things I’ve replaced on it are the light, 3x, the belt, 2x and the handle after my ex broke it off. It goes in every 3-5 years to have it oiled and checked. Heavy, you bet it is, expensive,yup, but my folks bought a new vacuum every 2-3 years paying anywhere from $100-$500 and would have to borrow the Kirby after about a year. Love my old gal but love watching Kim playing with her new vacuum cleaner.

Oh my gosh! I have three kids three and under and I only have two drawers that are six inches each. I can’t fit a silverware organizer in either of them. I keep my knives up on top of the fridge and the kids silverware in a cup in the cabinet. Yay to small spaces. You are seriously the most realistic you tuber I have found.
I absolutely love my Dyson. But maybe I just got lucky. My carpet is really old. It cleans it so well. The vacuum is probably 15yrs old. But when I buy a new vacuum. Maybe I'll try a shark. Love using a timer. We have a ten minute tidy up every night. I turn the timer on for 10 minutes and everybody cleans as much as they can in that 10 minutes. Most of the time it gets the house pretty darn clean before bed.

I am finished with my shopping! And almost done with wrapping. My 83 year old grandmother is arriving for a visit on Sunday and we are all set to be able to enjoy spending time with her instead of rushing around doing last minute stuff. My 6 year old is more excited about spending 2 weeks with her Nan-nan than she is about Christmas.

I’m 32 weeks pregnant with my 5th, and I’m trying to tackle a post family sickness house clean. It feels like an impossible feat at this stage, but I’m just trying to focus on one room at a time 😅
You are doing a great job! This might tickle you - when I was little, whenever the family got sick, my Mom used to say that Moms don't get sick, & she never did! Then, when I became a Mom, if anybody got sick, I sometimes did, too. So, I asked her, & she swears she said Moms don't have TIME to get sick, & now I understand completely!
Well, everyone been exposed so no worries about those germs! (Visitors can use a little immune boost!😅)

We are so much alike with issues with language. We have to keep a balance in our lives. I loved the "My New Me" channel because she was sick and her house would get out of control and then she clean and organize.
My mom had a similar outdoor set with cushions that always fell over, she put those command velcro strips on the back and it works perfect! It's been a couple years and I don't think she's ever had problems since.
We tip the postman/refuse collectors/window cleaner etc cash. I just put it in a Christmas card. My friend was a postman and said when they got gifts they appreciated it but struggled to carry them because our postmen walk here. That never even occurred to me 😅.
I was at an antique store and found a framed embroidered quotes of “ my home is clean enough to be healthy but dirty enough to be happy. “ and I live by that.

Hello Kim really appreciate your channel My goal is to do some holiday baking this week Since I have a new grandbaby the first and my family is short on extra funds we decided to just buy the baby Christmas presents.Times are hard financially for alot of people I have made peace with being frugal this holiday I think we compete with ourselves with how we used to do Christmas Growing up with German immigrant parents taught me that Honoring our Lord s birthday is the most important tradition to practice Spending time with my family and home made food is a plus too Merry Christmas ! And to my German friends Frohe Weihnachten!

I've had my shark navigator for almost 12 years, I love it! It's definitely starting to not work as well, but they have fantastic customer service. I had a couple hoses break, and it was super easy to get them replaced under the warranty. I even had one break like a couple months past warranty and they still got it to me. Personally, I think Dyson is the Stanley cup of the vacuum world.
We recently got a Honda CR-V. Fell in love with it during the test drive. Smooth drive, spacious (we only have 5 in our family) and saves on gas.

Good morning from the frozen tundra……. I drive drive an outback Subaru but with all the snow gear I lug around each winter, I have been eyeing up the Buick enclave. It has a 3rd row for the kids and their friends AND enough room for all of their crap too. I’m not sure I’ll be able to afford it- but it’s still fun to dream about. Until then, I’ll deal with the skis poking though to the front seat and taking the turns slowly so no one gets a ski pole in the face 🤷🏼♀️ the struggle is real!!
I have a 2015 Buick enclave and love it! The storage space is not the greatest though depending on how many kids you're hauling. I have heard the newer ones have more space!
You have my highest respect Kim and all women/mothers who take care of their family while managing a household and having a job (full time or part time) at the same time. Cleaning the whole house is a brutal task (well to me it is) but thank God for technology somewhat it became a bit easier for us to do laundry and sweeping and scrubbing the floors. Imagine women back then, they do everything manually.

We have a Buick Enclave and actually really like it. We got it from my mother, so it is an older model, but I love that it is essentially a Minivan. Fits 7, although the back seat is small for three at a time for longer car rides.
So great to see the new vacuum working well. 🥳 Hope the suction will be this good for many years to come.

I absolutely hate hate hate ( sounding like the grinch) laundry! However, I’ve realized along the years, If I get completely caught up on laundry, then do one load a day from wash to putting away, my laundry stays small and so much easier to manage. It feels so good to know I only have one load a day and it’s such a smaller task….. Love your videos, great sense of humor! 😉
