Tenerife Los Cristianos - Climbing Montana Chayofita with my Drone

- In today’s vlog my friends, I climb Montana Chayofita in Los Cristianos Tenerife with my DJI Mavic Mini Drone to get some amazing views of this astounding mountain in the south of Tenerife.
A tremendous 3 hour walk around Los Cristianos, with the added bonus of ascending little Montaña Chayofita, giving great all- around views of the mountains behind, and the coastline and holiday cities of Los Cristianos/ Las Americas/ Costa Adeje.
The top is only 85 m above sea level but there are superb views in all directions. When you are ready to move on, carry on in a clockwise direction as you descend, first, to another viewpoint, over Las Americas, then down a sometimes slippery path into the collapsed centre of the hill where there is a small cave/shack dwelling. You may want to leave a small monetary donation to support the lifestyle of the occupant. Carry on back down to street level where you turn left to re- trace your steps back to the pavement on Calle Finlandia.

When me and my Grandad were in Tenerife we walked up this hill - he’s 79!!! - at first we went the wrong way up and met a gated private area so we had to walk back down and back up again... he was such a trooper!! When he saw this video he rang me and said you’d filmed it with a drone (I’m into Photography) and said I should watch!! Great video, brings back happy memories, thank you! :-)

Wow what fantastic views from up there,we have walked the seafront more times than I can remember and I always look up to Chayofita and wanted to go up for a nosey,now that my daughter will be nine when we visit in August (hopefully) we will have a wonder up and take in the scenery.👍

Enjoyed that Vlog Lee, I guess like many of us it will be a while before you get away again, We’ve had to cancel a weekend break to Benidorm, same again in May to Barcelona, just waiting to see what happens in July for our holiday to Lloret De Mar but when all’s said and done it’s for everyone’s good health.

In all our time in Tenerife never been there and am extremely impressed! Firstly at you getting up there and not just straight up, oh no, setting the camera down, going back and then up again! Secondly, those views are tremendous and thirdly, your filmography is stupendous! This is so much better than watching you eat your breakfast, which was a good vlog but watching you work it off was awesome! 😂😎🤗

Hey Lee! Thanks for the video and great 360 shots. Wanted to find out what drone you had and I found it in this video....DJI Mavic Mini. I bought the Mini 2 Fly More Combo last week. Has 4K recording and 6km total range and level 5 wind resistance. Can’t wait to get out and fly this bad boy once restrictions have been lifted (whenever that’s going to be! lol) Stay safe!

Have seen the old chap with his dogs many times and always friendly. I often leave some of my painted stones at the end of his path.

Thanks. It was quite nice actually. No humidity at all. Nice breeze. Hot with a nice breeze. The breeze made it difficult to fly though or I'd have gone higher.

Been up there a couple of times, took the Phantom 3 up but was sooo windy I decided not to fly it :( Was wondering if the guy still resided in the shack at the bottom :) On a side note the pick and mix cakes from the supermarket are just superb.....
I have a phantom 3 and would rather have had that up there. The Mavic Mini nearly got blown away. Lol.

I’ve just bought the Mavic Mini a couple of weeks ago but haven’t had chance to fly it much yet. At least I know I can take it to Tenerife 😄. Is there any problems with security?
No problems at all. It's under the weight limit. Just carry on board with you. You can't put in the hold because of the battery. 👍🏼👍🏼

Hi Lee. Just rewatching this and i was wondering whether to take my mini to tenerife but no idea what the Spanish laws are on them now. I've got my UK operators ID and did you have to register yours over there?
I think you should be ok with the mini. Just be careful in Certain areas. Have a word with Tim from Living with MS in Tenerife. 👍🏼
I was looking forward to the Montana Chayofia review, sadly for me it did not deliver. For years I have been intrigued about the enormous yet to be completed build near the top of the Mountain but MacMaster failed to inform viewers or show any footage. Valpo.
Person ran out of money 💰 doing the build was told that years ago ....we always have walk up there.The apartment we rent just down hill 😄
