    I just got this (on Amazon now $48) and a Corsair MP600 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe x4 Gen4 ($89). It works great! Did you try flipping the cord 180 degrees? Mine did not work, and I pulled off and flipped it over. Came right up after that. Now, I just marked the side that needs to face the fan.

    “They didn’t sponsor this video, they just sent it over”
    If you kept it, then by definition it is a sponsored video.

      This is just how it works, from channels my size all the way up to LTT and MKBHD. We get review units and loaners. Give our honest feedback on it and either make a dedicated review or feature it somehow in another video, but really there's usually no set obligation. The majority of the high value items get sent back. And lower value items like this aren't worth the cost to get back and sell as an open box. Sometimes companies let us keep items in hopes that we will use it again and other videos, but there's again never really any obligation. If a video is sponsored that means there is some sort of key talking points a company wants us to hit, set upload timelines, promotions or features that were required to demonstrate. These are clearly marked as sponsored such as my last webcam video. You are correct in that there is some value exchanged so I still check the little box saying that they're is some sort of promotional material in it.

    if you've upgraded the ssd on the deck this looks like a good way to reuse that ssd that would of been in there from the get-go. have you tested if you can say boot Windows from that? as that'd be great if you can for faster system response times than off an SD Card.

  • @Slay3rOne
    @Slay3rOne Před rokem +5

    That looks pretty neat! Coming from a Asus Strix Arion full size M.2 enclosure, this is really tiny in comparison. And we start seeing huge capacities in this form factor now, same size SSD that fits in the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally. I might pick one up. That said, it's the first time I ever heard someone say "Repetitions Per Minute" for RPM lol. The acronym is for "Revolutions Per Minute", but I guess it's also acceptable to say "Rotations Per Minute".

  • @be-kind00

    Would this be a good unraid boot drive? Can you get it without the actual M. 2 drive so you could use a 32g M. 2 drive which I believe is the max for unraid? Thanks

    Just got mine and the speed is phenomenal. Should I remove the sticker from my SSD though before mounting it? The internet is a little hazy on it and their website video has the sticker removed, but I'm not sure if that's for a functional purpose or just not to have external branding.

      @TechHut  Před rokem +7

    • @PPPH1L1PPP
      @PPPH1L1PPP Před rokem +4

      @@TechHut Hey thanks for taking the time to reply :) The money isnt the issue tho. They sent this to you to review, you made a video of it. That video is a product that you profit from, wether thats directly financially or not doesnt even matter. Its a advantage to you, that you wouldnt have had if they had not sent it to you. That alone would already shift your bias towards, unwitting or not. And even if you need to send it back to them, you still benefited from this. But im not trying to single you out here, lots of tech CZcamsrs sadly do this and are like "oh they didnt pay me any money" and completely missing the point. Oh and the $80 value would be for the empty case, right? Certainly not including a 2TB drive as you have displayed it.
