This game is awesome! I really rate it. Look for all you hardcore guys out there, sure, you can have a game that is realistic, but whats good for Codemasters, and whats good for Formula One is that people get into it, and that mostly people who aren't that interested in Formula One at first, but a game like this could get them really interested. You can't have the learning curve too hard. It's gotta be accessible. I for one think it is a really fun game to play, and it is F1, its the mainstream.

Okay so this has been pissing me off SO much. HOW do people play in any other view than POV ?! It makes no sense to play a racing game in a view where you see the drivers head let alone the entire car. i could NEVER race like that unless it was gta.
The best situation is using 3 monitors. Real life does not give you more field of view in the front, like T-Cam does. In fact, real life is harder than cockpit cam. Pilots have to memorize the track, instead of looking at a corner in the end of the straight, that works like an ASSIST.
I like cockpit view in games but the problem is when you use a wheel, the PoV isn't up against the dashboard and you get double vision seeing the real wheel and game wheel. Something Project CARS alleviated by allowing you remove the wheel and hands (or remove the hands and make the wheel stationary if your wheel has important displays like on a BAC Mono or F1 car). I would do so then move the seat as forward as possible so the displays were just above or under the top of my wheel. I wish I could do that in Test Drive Unlimited 2 now that there's a physics mod that makes wheels usable with 900 degree rotation but the bumper cam works just as well since it uses realistic gauges pertaining to the car like Aston Martin's counter-clockwise speedometer or the Koenigsegg CCXR's long hand tachometer/short hand speedometer combo.
This game is rubbish compared to the old Microprose games. So unrealistic it's unbelievable. You can't even damage the cars without a mod and the inconsistency of the cars is ridiculous. Really disappointed with this game.

I have longed to hear someone else on youtube with the sense that you have. Sportsmen are moving forward in everything. Sprinters are faster, Footballers are better etc. The fact that so many are stuck in the past and genuinely believe drivers from 20 years ago could compete with today's drivers is quite frankly ridiculous. They train harder, they have better racecraft knoweledge and have been brought up from as young as 5 years old to race.
