The develope was kind enough to gift me a copy of this on steam and I decided to make a video! There was a TON of grinding involved but otherwise it was an enjoyable experience. Let me know what you think of it!

    Hello, developer here.
Thank you for taking the time to play the game. It was great hearing your thoughts, and they'll definitely influence future revisions and the sequel. One thing I've noticed with the second in the series (Crossing The Sands) as I work on it is that with a six-character party instead of four, it's much less "grindy". There's certainly more tuning to be done to speed up Into The Inferno's progression, and I'm planning an update for January to add a few improvements and bring in a some new features developed for Crossing The Sands.
You can bring up a larger map by clicking the minimap or hitting the "O" key (for "overview map"). The "rested" state doubles your mana and hitpoint recovery speed when walking around the world, and the "nauseated" state gives a penalty to hit enemies in combat.
FYI there are four levels of the "caves" dungeon, plus an additional four "inferno" levels.

Awwwww shit, anarcho-syndicalist dev? Might have to buy a few more copies. Rock on buddy. \m/ IWW member here.

It's amazing how this older style games, even if they look less modern, drawn me in specifically for the presented style, because it's so familiar and so ingrained from so many years of playing Wizardry/Ultima/Bard's Tale et al. It's almost like I want to play specifically to see how it's different from those older games, where the quality of life improvements that have been made are as important as the story/graphics/gameplay (like playing a modern version of Zork that has a full graphical interface/map etc.)

It sounds like a neat proof of concept but is in need of some changes. Probably something that could be hammered out in development. I mean, $15 isn't a lot but it's also not nothing, you know? Like, you're competing against Hollow Knight at that price and this is no Hollow Knight. Hell, even The Age Of Decadence only goes for that much. Underrail is even cheaper.
As much as I hate to be that guy, I would really hope the dev is going to continue working on this and adding more stuff, because it seems kinda neat. But $15 seems a bit steep for something that comes across as an early access title.
