VMP To Whipple .. Does he like the change

- Car was recently switched from a vmp.to a 2.9 whipple. Derrick was asked if he thought it was a upgrade or does the car feel the same? Alternator issues really holds these cars back!
Well the kmj alternator basically fixed that issue. He made them pretty beefy now

It's going to be an alignment issue, so it's going to throw the new belt again. I am willing to bet it's going to be the new alternator. I have a Mechman alternator and they require a few washers to have them aligned right.
That's exactly what it was. He had the have that fixed. Car should actually be back any day now. But 100% appreciate that brother

Beautiful looking Cobra, is that the 2.9 crusher? How much power did it make?
It's the non crusher and I'll double check but I think he was mid 600s
@chris_03svt not sure why they even made a non crusher. All of them should have had the good inlet not even sure why that was an option. I mean with these blowers larger inlet makes more power the gains will rise the higher you have it turned up but either way even on pump gas the larger inlet is always better and always makes more power. Which tvs did he have on it? A gen2r isn't far off from what a 2.9 (ecsp non crusher) is capable of and it'll have much better tq and average power too on a 4.6 especially on pump gas. If it was a 2650 then he's out of hid mind lol.
It’s was a vmp gen 2 2.3 blower. Same one as mine
@midnight347 yeah I agree. It's a non crusher and I know they discontinued the crusherbfor the 2.9 because of the 3.0L coming out which basically only comes with the crusher. Honestly he said it was a gen 2 but I thought it was a gen3. Vmp does make a great system but that whipple just looks so sexy lol

Yeah it was actually sold before he got the whipple on .

I'm trying to use mine but it's in the sun all day. I was thinking of doing them a little later in the evening. When the sun's going down . So hot here in Florida

The quality looks good. Think you’re recording angle , the way you holding the camera or phone when recording and when you post it doesn’t. It doesn’t fit the screen well.
