The 03 Mustang Cobra is one of the most cherished American muscle cars ever produced. The Termi is a vicious, loud, intense ride that made the SN95 Mustang generation shine the most out of all their models a the time. Most 03 cobras roaming the streets nowadays have whipple, kenne bell, or other giant superchargers modifying the terminator cobra for insane accelerations. However this time around we hop in a Ford Mustang Cobra that has only 15,000 miles, the factory wheels, the factory eaton supercharger, and is nearly flawless. So does the terminator have to be crazy modified to be nuts? Let's find out. Thanks for watching!

I own a Grand Prix GTP comp g after and old lady totaled my stage 2 wrx. It was cheap and I wanted a fast car but at a small price since my insurance screwed me over. When your idling at a stoplight, you may think "damn that 4v v8 with a big ole supercharger sounds reallll nice right now." But, when your slamming the gas on the highway and pushing the hell out of it, all you can think is "WOOOOO SUPERCHARGER WHINE YEAAA WOOOO YEEAAAA AMERICA WOOOO" and at that point it just becomes an absolute experience, that as a true car guy you wont forget. And you wont remember the feeling of thinking of all the parts in your engine at the time, you'll remember the rush of adrenaline you felt as the surge of torque threw you back in your seat. You'll remember how everything slowed down and just kind of clicked. Adrenaline, relax, clutch in, right hand, next gear, clutch out, adrenaline again. The car was/is a beast. For 2003 and 2004, there was nothing like on the street it in my opinion. A super capable car in stock form that became an absolute monster with just a few modifications. And without even seeing the car, when you hear the exhaust of that modular V8, you know its a Terminator Cobra. Its a beautiful thing to see a 15 year old car run with a new coyote. Snappin' necks and cashin' checks. I wanted a Termi back in the day and I'd love to have one right now.

My only Ford was a new 2003 Cobra. That's why I searched for a video. I drove the car like a complete Maniac for 3 years I did not do any modifications but exception of some window tint and a little bit of exhaust work. I loved everything about that car I wish I kept it but I didn't.

Nice. The only mods on my '03 Cobra 'vert are 3.73 gears, MGW shifter and custom pulleys. Stock crank and blower pulley. I ordered the car from the factory and picked it up on September 30, 2002. The SVT team took it off of the line and track tested it. I have the certificate certifying that they had done this and also a certificate of the mileage that they drove it. It's been a great car since then, supplanting my '99 Cobra 'vert as my long distance vacation cruiser until I bought my new 'vert in 2012. Never any trouble with any of them. Great cars, all.

not true first gen gt500 was force induction as well now they almost match the price of the terminator. I think the real reason is they nailed the look with the tweaks they made , internet fame, and the weight made it feel more raw with the driving experience instead of heavy weight being pushed by more hp like the cars of today.

  • @Rhoadie1

I agree about the braking from that era. I did some drilled and slotted discs up front with some heartier pads front and rear and it made a WORLD of difference. Like next level. Before that I was turning or buying new rotors every 6-10 months because they were warped.

The way I see it, the 2003-2004 Cobra is Ford's Buick Grand National. When they first came out, there was this sort of "wow factor", but ended up acquiring this sort of legendary status that no one really predicted.
