- Lou and Mitch have had six seasons of ups and downs on Heartland, and when Mitch proposed and Lou accepted, it looked like it was going to be smooth sailing for them. But in the last moments of the final episode of the season, Lou asked for a break after Mitch said he did want to have children.

I really believe if it hadn't been for cv and WCTH contract and scheduling, Lou and Mitch were meant to happen. I was heartbroken when they wrote him out. I know we held out hope for a while, and he was still mentioned a few times after he left, but it's too far along now to bring him back, I think. Miss him on HL so much! They were amazing together!

Beautiful video. ❤️Heartbreaking in the sense that you can see the love and passion, but they just can’t seem to get together! I agree; it’s the outside influences, mostly the manipulative Peter and Tim. Lou is a bit of a mess and Mitch seems to be the only one who can calm her. I really hope they get together by the end of S15. I say by the end, because I think the beginning will be all Lou & manipulative Peter. But I’m hoping that at some point Lou wakes up to this and realizes how much she loves Mitch. The baby issue though; could be a big problem. 🙏

I know. I'm trying to fight the deja vu, but the difference is that the writers are so good on HL that they have opened up a space for it to go either way. If they don't end up together, I will still be able to celebrate the time they did have. Just don't expect me to be making any Peter and Lou videos 🙄😂

It's not. Going through each season and putting Lou and Mitch's story together has really shown me that these two can't stay apart for very long. ❤️
Perfect description! Their chemistry is off the charts and they can't stand to not be together. After 6 years and all they have been through it would just seem pointless all they have gone through if they don't end up together and married...kind of like another show. As frustrating as Lou is, she never can not help herself to a little hunky cowboy. 😅❤🔥
I agree that it would be pointless, and in 14 seasons, HL has never been pointless ❤️ Kevin loves working on the show, and loves the HL family, and they’re known for fitting the show around actors’ schedules. I can’t imagine him not being there.

I find the drama of the of and on again interesting but it needs a change of who is doing the of! Just to make Lou wake up...Mitch is the best, She needs him...

AWESOME video!!!!! I love how you started with the '"take a break" scene and then worked back through so many of the ups and downs you mentioned. The song is perfect too. When they're together and on the same page, their love shines and they have the most passionate kisses. When things get rocky, as you commented on another video, it's most often because one or both of them are frustrated by outside influences. It's never because they don't love each other. I agree with you that the season 14 finale definitely left the door open for them to find their way back to each other and I hope with all my heart that it happens. That being said though, it's going to take one of them making a significant change in their desires for the future in regards to having a child for it to work. That's a big mountain to climb but I hope they tackle it! Thanks Susan!

This is so beautiful, Susan! I feel like the two of them just haven't been able to let the other go and they always find their way back to each other. Mitch has been the only one to get Lou to really settle down and is a calming force in her life. I think she was rattled by him wanting a kid, but I don't think it is necessarily what would doom their relationship. It will be interesting to see what they do in S15. I don't see her going back to Peter. I just want to see them settled and happy. Love the song choice and of course the way you put the clips together is perfection! 👏❤🔥😍
Thank you ❤️ And I think S14 was really affected by covid and by Kevin not being able to travel easily back and forth between sets. That last episode kind of came out of the blue for me -- and I have a theory about how many times they showed them in bed together 🥰 Maybe Lou wasn't as careful as she should have been? That would solve their problem AND give us great storylines, easy and hard, going forward. I can't see her with Peter. It just feels like it would be going backwards.
@@susanfirth9883 I have to say, I never gave a thought to your possible oops theory! You're right that it could certainly make for an interesting story line andI'd love to see a transformation in Lou if she really had the benefit of a loving and supportive spouse who loved caring for a child.
