I've put the video with the song 'Far Away' because I feel like the lyrics match so perfectly with Lou and Mitch's story~ I love you, I've loved you all along and I miss you, been far away for far too long.
This couple have been up and down and around and round, and they deserve their happily ever after together, Lou needs to let go of her past to embrace her future with her whole heart. When Peter confronts Mitch at the pond about him not being there to support Lou there is some truth to it but in-fact she wasn't there to support him buying and starting up a new cattle ranch which is a big thing in itself. Lou cannot afford to go back with Peter, too much water is under that bridge and we've already seen that they do not have the right parts to rebuild it with. This season (13), as soon as Lou told Peter she loved him at the Dude Ranch his face lit up because he received a facade of love that he obviously and desperately desired. After this he shows up at Lou's election time to put up the front that he supports Lou all the way, although he was never there for her when they were married and I think this showed his true colours. We've seen that Lou and Peter don't work, they were both terrible for each other. Even when Georgie and Peter were talking about college applications and she asked him if Lou put him up to talking to her about it, he scoffs and says 'of course she did'. To me that shows how Peter still dismisses Lou and her opinions. With the mutual respect they've built up for each other over the years they need to let go of any thought of ever being together as a selfless act for the other one's good.
I think Lou and Mitch are perfect together. And Mitch would be such a wonderful (step) father figure to both Katie and Georgie. Yes they both have faults and fall short of being perfect but that's what makes them realistic and it reflects the insecurities that are quite often in relationships. They clearly both really love each other and we've seen how much they're willing to sacrifice to be together. Lou's scared of big commitments but once she's in she is all in. Mitch is scared of conflict and he can't handle problems that arise in a relationship. In their last scene together of season 13 Mitch tells Lou that she needs to figure out what she really wants and this is true, Lou needs to stop floating between Mitch and Peter and throw her whole heart into her relationship. But then Lou said the same thing back. That Mitch also needs to figure out what he wants which is just as true because he needs to be willing to stay and fight for them to be together, not to just run off when their problems are too hard for him to handle.
Then again I think they are an amazing couple who deserve every happiness. Let them be happy Heartland writers, they've fought for this, they have grown and developed almost more than any other couple on the show, please give them the ending they deserve. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Mitch is more loving than Peter ever was. So let's hope that Mitch and Lou get together.

Victor said that Marion always loved Tim...if you look at their relationship description it says after Lou was born they fought a lot, but got together most of her childhood. Marion would have never left Tim...I know he doesn't mean it, but he IS the relationship crasher...I mean he's had like 7 girlfriends and 1 wife. Definitely takes after him.
Lou does drive me crazy. She is a person that wants what she can't have and when she gets it she doesn't want it anymore. She has to have things her way...she is a control freak!

If anything jappens to Amy or Ty in Season 14, I will not be able to watch Heartland anymore. They belong together always and the show wouldn't be the same if one of them died. Do not take either one of them away.

Lou's biggest problem is her insecurities and her big expectations. She expects Mitch to just know everything she needs and wants and she is always getting mad when he, or other people don't do what she wants. Honestly, that's why her relationships are crashing. She's never grateful or satisfied.

I have to agree... poor Mitch... the last three seasons have ended with either Mitch getting left at Caleb's wedding, or Mitch cancelling his wedding and now again the end of Season 13 Lou not making a commitment to Mitch! If there is a Season 14, please writers, do something positive involving Mitch.

Ok honestly as much as I like Peter, Lou most of the time can be soo dumb and delusional. For some reason she makes things awkward and hard to process what she feels about Mitch. Mitch is honestly a cool, fun and nice all around guy. Don’t y’all ever wonder why some men can’t deal with a woman like Lou!? Even though Peter is talking more with her now he couldn’t handle her before the divorce. The only one who truly understands her is Scott.
After watching season 13 Lou and Mitch are ok.
I agree Scott understands her better she said it in season 11 that she can talk to him and that he understands her better because they have been friends and lovers sense school times
I’m team Lou and Scott but I feel like it will just never happen. I like Mitch but as much as people rag on Lou (cause she is a disaster in relationships) for once I actually feel like while Lou might prioritize a lot of Mitch at the end of the day I feel she’s done a lot more chasing Mitch then Mitch as doesn’t chasing her. For me to be team Mitch he needs to step up and quit running when he thinks things aren’t goi f his way. I need to see Mitch fight for Lou.

She needs to move. She's a full grown woman with a now legally grown daughter and another child. Nothing is ever enough for her. Look at her history 1st Scott then Peter now Mitch
Something always has to be her way her time her space. She can never just be satisfied or settled. If the show continues a few more years watch, being Mayor won't be enough for her.

Lou's never going to end up long term with anybody because she's selfish, overbearing arrogant overly ambitous and controlling . It's her way or the highway which is no way.. Nothing is ever enough for her. A relationship will never be a priority with her and a man wants to be priority some time. She wants the option like a toy on the shelf there when she wants to play

I really hope the rumors are not true about a key characters death and I surely hope the rumors that it's Ty or really that just rumors. If they want to do away with a key character let Peter go he's in and out or even Georgie it was too much Georgie and the teeny boppers for me the last 3 or 4 seasons. I was hoping they'd send her to Europe and leave her there off screen. Refocus on Jack & Lisa, Ty & Amy even Caleb and Cass. Show more of Scott. Lou finally moving out of Heartland and into her own home either in town as Mayor or with Mitch. I can even take Peter and Jen just cut the kiddie city show. Georgie I believe was in every single episode. While, Lisa, Caleb, Cass and others were all back burnered. It's almost like since the character came on board the focus has shifted to Georgie and her many escapades at least a portion of each show.

Lou is such a horrible character, self centered and shallow, abandoned her kids to run off to NYC, bounces around from man to man. I like the episodes where shes not in them at all, finished season 11 on Netflix, no point in watching anymore seems like more of the same.
You nailed it and I'm sick of "The Georgie Show". They need to get back to the older core characters. Scott, Caleb, Val Stanton more Jack & Lisa of course Amy and Ty and send Lou and that annoying little girl off with Georgie send them all to Europe or somewhere to follow Georgie's jumping career or Peter take his daughter just get her off of the screen because Lou is busy being Mayor.

I think Lou is a strong woman I love how she handles herself. I don’t really like her and Mitch together, but I guess it’s okay. I really didn’t like the idea of him asking Lou to move in together and she has an example to set for her daughters, not cool. So glad she didn’t do that!
