- In this video the clutch master cylinder on a honda accord CB7 is installed. I did not get a chance to finish the video up but the bleeding process was just about the hardest thing to do.

THAT COTTER PIN IS THE MOST EVIL FUCKING THING IN THE WORLD i will never ever ever change another one of these in an accord
Anyone who’s struggling with the cauter pin i recommend taking a screw driver to pull the cauter pin off using the loop to secure the shank, worked like a charm for me
That cotter pin is a dirty bastard. I highly recommend heeding the advice in the video and getting angled needle nose. It's bloody impossible any other way. It's why I'm finishing this job tomorrow.
Took me about an hour and a half to get it off. I removed front seat for better access but damn that pin was a pain in the ass 😒
Used my fingers. Didnt realize how many issues people had till i got stuck later in the process 😂😂
I appreciate the video man you would be the only cb7 doing a clutch master cylinder replacement. But it is a bit hard to see exactly what you're doing cuz the camera is not getting in good spots so having a hard time seeing stuff. Damn it mine would go out and i need to do this work. How difficult was it for you to bleed the system? That's one of the things that's making me worry
It was not easy and definitely takes time but as long as you keep doing it, you will eventually get it done. It helps if you have a helper to actually pump the clutch pedal or bleed the slave cylinder.
Thanks
What angle of needle nose are best? I've tried straight and some 90-degree versions and neither worked.
Timmy MacGruber I used a 45°
I just replaced the slave and the master clutch and still have no pressure and pedal goes to the floor. Any ideas?
Are you getting any fluid at the bleeder on the slave? I ran into an issue with the lines being clogged and had to take them off the master and blow air through them to get fluid.
@@Cody-kd5dw It took some time but it needed to be bleed. It good now.
hi i have accord 94 matic now on process change to manual with the h22a4 engine
i have the 3 pedals though i forgot the master cylinder and slave with reservoir
i need to buy that all. beside that? any parts need to add?
hope you can help me thanks. :)
darwin andres you would need the lines that the fluid travels from the reservoir to the hydraulics too as well. That should be it.
OK Thanks... :)
I replaced my pump guaaa it's very interested
Is it still working? Mine is getting ready to fail I was thinking of buying honda parts what brand did you use?
It is still working I got that particular part from Amazon, it is 100% an OEM part
No Clutch pressure on top of not able to shift into any gears. I'm guessing this would solve this? Already replaced clutch and slave cylinder. Haven't replaced master yet
Same issue here. Have clutch. Replacing master though because I think that may be the issue. Figure it out?
Frustrating job, took me almost 2 hours. Used my vacuum pump to pre bleed, that helped
I did everything mentioned in the video. But im leaking fluid from the top of the nut where the line goes to the master cylinder. I pulled the line out to check the flare and threads on the nut, theres no cracks or crossthreads. Does anybody know what it could be?
Kw Skater might want to try some liquid thread sealant or just regular old Teflon tape as a fix
@@aaronphx420 i thought that at first but it wasnt leaking from the threads, it was leaking from the top of the nut where the line goes through. I ended up buying an O-ring from oriellys and putting it on between the flare and the nut. It worked but i need to bleed the clutch some more.
I'm gonna need to do this my clutch doesnt come back up all the way and its leaking a hell of a lot of brake fluid inside the car
Yeah that definitely gonna be your problem
does anyone know the part number?
Current task....I hope this fixes my issue with the clutch being stuck to the floor
O'Shae Pryme it could be the master or slave that makes that happen, but more than likely you’ll replace both at the same time...that would be your best bet
Same. Just ordered parts, good luck bro
How long did it take to get pressure
Enrique Meza a hot minute. Probably if I were to guess I would say about 15 minutes or so. It’s a 2 person job but If you buy a hand vacuum pump at harbor freight or something and put a vacuum on the bleeder on the slave cylinder it probably wouldn’t have taken quite as long but I didn’t have one. But I should invest in one.
Maybe dry vacuum bleeding on the reservoir would’ve helped a lot more. Next time I’ll try it.
what wrench did you use to remove the blind nut? u said a deep 12 i think? i cant get to it
@Carlos Domenech thanks for the tip bro!
My clutch pedal randomly sticking to floor will new master fix? What were your symptoms?
Yes that and the slave could be the problems, usually people replace both at the same time
@@aaronphx420 ok i did slave today and same symptoms doing master next. How long does it take to replace clutch master?
@@Mister_Shells about 2 hours....it took longer to bleed...but keep bleeding until all the air is out
@@aaronphx420 okay any other tips on getting clutch master out? I guess I’ll watch video again
Any updates on the cb7?
Andrea A not yet, I have been busy with family and work so not really much time for my hobby :-( maybe I'll take it for a cruise this weekend and post how it rides(even though the a/c still hasn't been recharged) so stay posted.
I put my Honda Accord lx 98 on computer, it says 2&4 cylinder mis fire what do I do
i would do a power balance test first,
czcams.com/video/bAOmUjAjNjE/video.html
if its a spark issue then replace the wires, plugs, distributor cap and rotor.
I had the same problem on my 98 accord and it was the spark plug wires arcing through the insulation and fixed the problem.
oh and you will disconnect the injector harness per cylinder since you don't have coil packs .
R. A. It doesn’t have coil packs, it has a rotor and distributor pack.
Any ideas why it's hard to put into gear ?
Either your slave cylinder is bad or there is a leak in the hydraulic hose, no dot 3 fluid in the reservoir or you clutch is bad or the synchros in your tranny is bad, I would fill the reservoir with dot3 fluid first and go from there
@@aaronphx420 thank u brotha 🤙
Still tiny bit of air in line? I’ll pump n dump at least 5 cycles
Are Adler clutch master cylinder’s reliable?? How’s it working so far?
For some reason it said Adler on the box but it was a brand new Nissin product which is 100% OEM...it is still working wonderful as of today 🙂
@@aaronphx420 I’m having to replace the CMC for the third time. Honda want $234 for the part. If Alder/Nissin is good I’ll go with that
Anybody else catching hell with the metal line on the top? It breaks but the line seems to torque along with it.
busara 45 theVillain use penetrating fluid and it will break loose
what year Honda is this for?
90-97 Honda accord
How do you took out those 2 nuts underneath the clutch pedal
use a wobbler with a deep 12mm socket
Looks like you forgot to bench bleed the master cylinder
JaH RaH you really don’t need too. You can use a vacuum bleeder, or bleed it the old fashioned way which is what we did here, after the install.
Stupid question but is than an h22 I see????
Yessss obd2 01 jdm accord euro r h22a in a 93 accord
@@aaronphx420 That's amazing man! I have a 90 Accord Sedan (with the 5 speed) that I wanna do an h22 swap on. It's got the stock f22a4 with about 240k on it. But it's my first car (bought it a month after my 17th bday) and I'll have had it for a year in july. Great car but want more power lmao
Little difficult
Jorge Reyes if you have big hands yes, but if you have small hands a little bit not as bad, bleeding it was the hardest part.
If anyone is about to do this job. A tip would be to have someone weld a nut (the same size and thread as the master cylinder mounting nuts)
To one side of the master cylinder fork. (The Part that the pin goes through)
And now you can use a hex head bolt to connect the master cylinder to the pedal.
Eliminates that pin nonsense
I hope that McDonald's job working for u
