Heyi bro, firstly sorry for the loss. In this hobby uncertain situations are quite usual....#harsh-truth but keep the hobby alive move on with new plan and variety of fishes. I would suggest you to give your planted tank to your turtles as they may get a very good space and you can even place a proper basking and yellow light for them...... All the best
