- I've done this a little different than usual. Rather than talking while I was riding, I basically stayed silent and enjoyed the ride. Once I got home, I recorded voice overs for the things I was thinking while I was riding. It means my voice doesn't get drowned out by wind noise, but also seems that the engine noise recording seems to have come out unexpectedly better too.

Good to see all went well. Here’s a tip from someone who’s been there. Make sure you stretch your calves and hamstrings. If they’re tight they pull everything from the neck down. Some days when I do stretch it feels like I grew a couple of inches! Keep working at it. I was back doing distances in a couple of months once I started riding again.
Thanks for the advice, you're right, I'm still doing the exercises, including squats and stuff.. Next time I'm out, I'll do them right before I get out on the bike and see if there's a difference. Thanks for watching. 👌👌
Glad to see that your on the mend Ray keep it up bud 👍🏻
Thanks Davros... just glad to be out on the bike again. 👍👍👍
Well Done Ray. Know just how difficult it is. You doing exactly the right thing - slowly increasing the length of ride. See ya soon mate.
Thanks Allun... I reckon I'm being over cautious, but it's probably the best way.. see you at T7xford.. 👍👍
Keep it up Ray, looking forward to seeing you later in the year my friend.
Cheers Roy, looking forward ter Tuxford.. 👌👌👌
I ride a Honda NC750X throughout the year, whereas I don't ride my ZZR1400 during greasy-road winter months. I find this keeps my skill set up-to-speed and my butt doesn't feel numb for the first few weeks of the riding season beginning again. Incidentally I find the mighty Kawasaki to be way more comfortable than the Gen 3 Hayabusa it replaced...
I normally ride my 1200 all year round, this last 7 months have been out of character. I've always found the 1200 to be remarkably comfortable. Definitely more comfortable than the 1400 that preceded it. Thanks for watching. 👍👍
@@stevedriver1376 Sorry, I owned the 1400 before I 0wned the 1200.. 😂😂😂😂
Keep it up mate, remember the mind is stronger than the body.
Step at a time... this is the part that could set me back a long way, so I'm happy with baby steps. Thanks for watching. 👌
Good to see you stretching the distance out bit by bit. Always likely to feel a bit uncomfortable after such a long break. Keep it up as Europe is calling.
Gotta be match fit by September..😂😂😂😂
I have got to get back on the bike and get fit again after my health scare in August last year I haven't been on the bike .
Loving the voice over Ray hadn't realised how posh you sound 😂
@@heating4343 That would have most of us off the bike for a while Gordon, take your time, and do things at your own pace.. be good to see you out again. 😂😂😂😂
@@heating4343 That's my customer service voice.. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Enjoyed that Ray,the voice over sounded really cool,i'm trying really hard not to make a crack on the condom remark,,,,lol ;-)
