Wow 🔥🔥🔥
Men that mechanic is awesome . He made it look like it was an easy task on replacing the compressor . An that's not easy to do especially . When heating temperature outside was at list 100 degrees men my hat goes off to that mechanic.
LMAO, I thought it was HIS CZcams channel
Bless his heart, I stopped working on jack stands 32yrs ago. It's a hard life. The thing not shown was having to remove the upper radiator support, a pain in itself just to do an alternator, and remove the condenser.
i appreciated the mechanic explained everything. that was indcredible
Nice work mechanic and editor I learned some really good tips thank you both
Priddy boys are CRV kings in south Texas 🔥
Amazing job
Nice to see the real life greasy hands and and knuckle busting.. thank you for this.. I am also starting to understand why mechanics charge such a high hourly rate.. working on cars basically sucks unless you have all the right tools..
Thank you.
Have a few questions:
1. How do you do the vacuuming?
2. How do you clean the system?
3. How do you disconnect/connect the lines?
4. How do you disassemble the water cooling system and the rest of the parts of the vehicle in order to get to the AC compressor?
5. How do you change the band?
Thank you for your help.
I’d like to know as well.
How flush the system ????
I'm looking at a few of these on FB marketplace. I'm here to see if they're worth pursuing.
Changed compressor and expansion valve and my air is still not cold , and recommendations ?
Great Vid Quick Question.
Did you have to lower the subframe in the beginning after all? Since you removed it from top (which is perfect by the way. did you have to remove anything from on top to get to it like radiator hoeses?) And did you flush it and change the dryer thing he mentioned at the beginning??
How long does this job take start to finish including drain & recharge?
I am no mechanic, but I think there is an oil leak as well. Thanks for the information.
Excelente
How many bolts you have to loosen the subframe
that appeared to be an UAC compressor removed? are they worth installing?
Do you gotta drain coolant or na?
Skipped a couple of parts about taking out the power steering pump and the alternator, oh and the radiator fan.
where did you buy the compressor and how much?
must've worked in the oil field or gas patch to get that good as a mechanic
When removing the A/C compressor, is it necessary to replace the condenser or other related parts?? thanks
Yes due to the fact that most parts stores will not warranty the compressor if you do not replace the expansion valve and drier. Also if your compressor failed it’s very possible that it sent debris through the system which will cause the new compressor to fail.
@@thepriddyboysmechanicshop1364 Thank you for answering my question.
If the compressor detonated yes, if no just the dryer filter.
Wheres Ben's shop located ?
I’m in Premont Texas
Any advice ? I have a 2006 CR-V ac working great now but I've read that 2002-06 had issues with ac compressors going bad and sending shrapnel thru whole system , would you recommend replacing it if it's all working correctly? Also the air condenser looks like they ran a pressure washer and lots of fins are bent and missing 🫤
Very nice and savvy mechanic. Doing this task with ease. However, the tricky part is how to clean the system and how to add the freon. There were no steps involved in this video. So, half the job is done, next you should post how to conclude the job with charging the system with freon.
These are very reliable vehicle to bad Honda has terrible ac compressors we had three go out at 257k miles
Mine just gave up today 😢
]i thought he had to put some compressor oil in it. am i wrong?
Mine came prefilled with oil new.
Dreaded Black Death these things were capable of. Gotta replace the whole system when that happens. It send crap all through the ac system.
You don't have to lower the sub frame... I never do
@kidwes61 What is your process?
This has got to be the worst how to fix something ive ever watched
skipped all the important details and spent more than half the time explaining pointless extra stuff. please just show all the steps to remove and install.
My thoughts exactly I hate videos like this useless information
My man took the whole car apart lol
Every second gen Crv will need the compressor replaced.
