There were no more than 400 Seals in Vietnam and I've met all 20,000 of them.
@Solarguy 😂. I’m sure Senior Chief Don Shipley has been looking to call all them SEALs out 🤣. Scammers everywhere
@@danielmckinnon9627 Senior Chief Don is the man.
Hey, you’ve been busy.. and so have they!! 🤣
Yes!
@@KOHTAOMURDERSDEATHISLANDThank you for coming on Paul's channel and exposing the many types of scams as well as the horrors that still go on in Death Island. The Burmese fellows story is very sad and will likely have a tragic end
One expat youtuber repeatly warned that "don't be in a situation where you are worth more when you are dead" in a business partnership with locals.
I am a 66-year-old lifelong single guy with no kids. I am not rich but I have more than I need. I'm already a slave to 'stuff' I own so accumulating more isn't appealing. I have politely declined every "once in a lifetime opportunity" ever offered to me. I never click on hyperlinks embedded in emails and I've ignored a fortune in cash & merchandise I've "won" over the years. In a past video Paul notes the distinction between a victim and a volunteer. Keep your wallet closed and you won't be scammed. I won't travel anywhere without doing extensive research on safety and knowing the do's and don'ts. I get all the valor I'll ever need knowing I'm the son of a selfless, soft-spoken WWII combat veteran who devoted his entire life to his family. I hope some day to visit the Philippines and perhaps live there. Up to this point I've lived entirely for myself, I'd like to spend some of my remaining years volunteering to help others. We'll see.
You are definitely right! I am not rich, but like to help. Where I live , lots of homeless people. I offered to help one homeless person and this person took advantage of me. Now, I still help but no longer help like before. I live in California, too many homeless folks around. What are your thoughts on these?
Terrific guest, Paul. I love a truth teller….someone who digs in and gets to what really is happening in the world. Long live journalism!
Hi S Hess. You are clearly a wonderful judge of character! 😃
Re koh Tao murders could be linked to body organ trade.
Wow! A con man and a lawyer who exposes scams all in the same week.
Why is he a con artist? Only because he was just by a conartist doesnt make him a con, right. But if you know pls explain.
That's one thing about being uneducated and obviously poor, no one EVER wants me to invest in their scheme.
I have made many trips to Philippines, About every few trips in Manila area I will have a American come up to me claiming he is ex military and his wife/girlfriend kicked him out and he has no money, and of course they ask for money for help.
World Zoom is pretty good. The question i had was, why a successful CEO would be living in a small apartment , but dude was smooth. My theory was he needed money to expand his channel so he made friends with successful CZcamsRS like, Old Dog , Mike, Every Man has a story, Pea etc.etc He needed SUBSCRIBERS.
It's nice to see someone doing such a positive thing, educate yourself daily and kindness is king.
Excellent video Paul, Thank you for inviting this gentleman on the channel.
He’s a sociopath who displays no empathy or compassion about himself and no remorse, always smiling when explaining his crimes.
Who's crimes? Isn't he just a lawyer?
are you following the interview at all?
@@antoniobalentawak2599 Paul’s statement, yes 100%.
Once I was in the bank to cash a check and an old lady wanted to send $1000 to London, England. She had gotten an email telling her she had won a prize and needed to make the deposit to get it. The teller questioned the transaction and the manager tried to talk her out of it but the old lady insisted I left but it was sad to see.
She was hooked on hopium.
If you get a call from your kids or relatives asking for urgent money you need to test them by asking them to tell you for instance “what was the name of your first dog “or their favorite teachers name from junior school to double check .
I was thinking about the same thing
If they’re asking ME for money 💵 they MUST be strangers to me. 🤑
First thing I do is say, I will call you right back.
Also, besides, asking them questions they should know the answer too, mention a scenario that is not true, to see if they agree with it.
My former boss who is a very smart businessman was taken over a million dollars by someone he thought was a friend. The so callled friend ran the largest wine store fraud stealing over 60 million dollars. He was featured on American Greed.
Hey Paul and Guest. The elderly are such a vulnerable population. Sorry to hear about your father’s dilemma. My elderly mother was also scammed. Not to stir the pot but I thought this headline was about Paul Cardwell (World Zoom). I have read articles in the states with pictures to confirm. I sent you a link on your last interview with him. Apologies for sounding like the nosy neighbor but just care about your welfare and the channels reputation. God bless
Great interview! I can't wait to watch his channel
Lol,, good interview my friend. Very wise to be aware of all the different types of scams, scammers, and decievers roaming out and about..
Thanks 🙏 for the video Paul ! Great reminder to stay vigilant always !
Great video Paul very informative thanks again.
Paul my dad had the same thing happen to him. Exactly like your dad about jail. He was 93 when they did that to him. He is 98 now. They only got $3,000 from him. They took a whole lot more from yr dad. Just terrible. The law did nothing for him like yr dad. Thanks for another great video.
A great video, Paul! If it sounds too good to be true - it probably is (greed). And beware of people giving unsolicited compliments about clothes, hair, or shoes you're wearing (ego). It was a trick I remember a drug company salesman turned psychology personal development coach once taught us in a work training course to use when building rapport with people..
Umm, also trust but verify (ask the person calling something that only you and them know?). That said, compared to many other places, the Philippines still sounds like a very safe, welcoming and beautiful place to live. Still not put off tho! Ten years and counting until I have saved enough to retire comfortably. Tick-tock, the wait is truly mind-numbingly infuriating!!
Thank you for your hard work paul
Great topic ! Love watching your CZcams
Thank you so much for this interview. It is important to remember especially in an unfamiliar country to keep your mind open and skeptical when something is too good to be true
Very interesting love the filming location. How is Paul Caldwell?
This was your most valuable video. Produce more like this!
It was certainly sobering!
Another Amazing Video, Always be aware of your Surroundings.
Old dog hope you give Zoom a meeting either private or public. We all have fallen short. Now that he has been exposed I would think he would be much more humble and your radar would be much more alert. Thanks again for another good video.
I wouldn't hold your breath, it's a great idea, and I think sunlight is the best disinfectant. But some people fear to bathe in the light of a Nova.
They could become a crispy critter 😅
That guy is a habitual liar. He was on Paul's channel and claimed to be head administrator at a Bangkok hospital. LOL
@@subotaiKhan it's extremely distasteful and disturbing for sure
This AI shit is scary! Sooner or later the computers won't need us meatsacks anymore and it will be like the "Terminator!"
Thanks Paul.
Very entertaining 👏
Very nice interview guys. Looking forward to more on this subject.
Thanks Gary! ✅
Great interview mate keep up the good work.
Hey Paul, some ' oldies' still check in with your excellent channel, now and again! Your A1 on the jukebox...no where in the charts!...just for now...and that always changes. Good vid. Love the new direction. ❤
Great interview. Thanks Ian and Paul.
Our pleasure. 😃 ... our little contribution to community service!
Great video, Paul. Very interesting and informative.
Wow! Thats an excellent guest and avery interesting topic, well, even here in the usa theres lots of tons scammers, all the big scammers were here too.
Thanks N D. I appreciate it! 👍✅
Good Video Paul 😊. Very interesting video. Sorry too hear about your father being scammed.
Stay Safe 💕 💞 🙏 🙏
Hi Paul, anybody is fooled by a heart-warming compliment, especially if you have gone through a hard time. About the child's story that is mentioned, the answer to that is to ask a question that would identify a distant relative known to the child. That would solve the matter instantly, seeing that whoever is demanding the ransom will not have that information.
Great interview with him sharing - there are endless scams, that's for sure. I personally have loss track - they are getting scarier due to technology that is available. Sucks about your father - too many people get scammed like this. Networking is the best - sharing so others become more savvy and aware and can share to others. Have a great day!
Another great video, thank you Paul.
There are scammers everywhere, mainly attorneys,
i listen to this and "world zoom" comes to mind
The answer is to call the person... if someone says they have a hostage or they are in jail just call their cell or a close family member that can verify their whereabouts
AI voice changer tech can mimic voices accurately now. That screaming brother of yours begging random money to be free can be someone else easily. Crazy times😮
Hi Paul, thank you for bringing your buddy Ian and exposing the Thai triad that is Death Island, which I will be sure to avoid at all costs, not that I have huge amounts of money but by the looks of things, it wouldn't take much to do me in. Scary. Take care my friend.
Ian was happy to participate! Thanks Aida 🙏
U probably haven't a pot to piss in, nor a window to throw it out be-atch
Great interview and very informative. I would really like to hear more about places not to go, like Mindanao maybe. Thank you for sharing. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the video Paul
Hey Old Dog, really good show.
It does not matter where you go in the “World” there will always be someone that will “Zoom” in on you with a con. 😮😂

@@gjm456 Speaking of low blows...how's your job going? ba da BING! :)
Very interesting. Ai will make it more interesting.
Hi Ian….Hi Paul…good to see you both together once again….
Hi Marc!!
A really interesting vlog Paul.
"If it sounds too good to be true. It usually is!"
Certain types of crimes are thought to be victimless BULL S#!T no such thing.
If you don't insure your vehicle (certainly in the UK) it costs everyone who does insure money to finance an "Uninsured Driver Fund" that pays victims of accidents where a perpetrator is uninsured.
Fraud cases are a classic. I was involved in the investigation of a case where a couple of companies were set up they had people in management positions in hospitals and were supplying counterfeit drugs to hospitals. In court one accused argued "It's the health service they have billions to spend."
The health service in the UK is funded by contributions from everyone working and paying tax.
These people weren'r supplying counterfeit low cost drugs. They supplied drugs for oncology, cardiology and other serious illnesses. Packaging looked genuine as did the drugs.
Subsequent chemical analysis showed they were fake.
So what about the patients with serious illnesses prescribed what everyone believed to be genuine drugs?
They had months or years of their lives stolen by people motivated by greed.
Scamming is BIG business you don't have to point a gun or knife at someone it can be done remotely but is no less devastating.
Couple of years ago I guy I went to school with lost his job he'd done at a company for 30 years.
The Finance Director who had been there more than 10 years developed a taste for gambling and ladies who charge by the hour for their companionship. Over several years he'd embezled money from the firm. Eventually while he was on holiday a routine query exposed anomalies the firm was forced into bankrupcy and 22 people lost their jobs!
Great interview
Thanks Paul for the info and vlog,
Greetings from the Netherlands. Fox1
Paul always enjoy your videos, and some of your special guest appearances, by far this was a great video and your guest today, had some valuable info...FACTS!
Thank you both for a fabulous video it’s appreciated to hear good wisdom especially when we live in such a Dark world
Great video, very interesting and informative, and I followed both your interviewee and your good wife's channel. keep up the great work buddy.
Ian is a good guy to know! Great job! Excellent video!
Thanks Patriot! ✅👍
thanks for the great video paul
Paul today's news is very informative. Thanks to your guest!.
Thanks Tina!
Another excellent one, Paul.
I am a big proponent of “shining the light“ however, the person shining it should do everything in their power to remain safe. Reporting something from another country is an excellent step in that direction :-)
Well Paul how interesting viewing this is. Great guest, articulate, knowledgeable, fascinating subject. Thank you.
Thanks Dave! 👍✅
Paul sorry to hear about your father being scammed. Years ago my ex-wife was a manager at a Bank in the US and they had a protocol for any senior citizen customer withdrawing large amounts of money , I wish your Dad's Bank had the same safety procedure
Great Vlog, your guest spoke very well 👍
Hi Paul, thanks for the video, and thanks to the Attorney for all the advice regarding scamming 😊
Good job Paul , heard about Death Island in Thailand with that rich Thai family causing the trouble. So the lure of the Best scuba diving gets people to go. Its not worth your life though.
If i had a $1 for every American man who has claimed to be a former Navy Seal or Marine with "over a hundred" kills, I could take a pretty, pretty nice vacation. Legends in Their Own Mind.
Perhaps - (?) - it's the company that '''you''' have been keeping ?
Same here.
@@frankkluz9787 no doubt!
I love your blogs. Please keep me posted on what are going on in RP. I live here in Florida since 1990. Thanks sir Paul.
I think this is the longest video I have ever watched on your channel. Ian is well-spoken, calm, and appears to know his stuff. I am going to check out his channel. After watching this I think I will go watch Baby Mae talk to some lovely Filipina. LoL Happy Trails
Hey Bud, hope all is well, stay dry my friend, hope everyone is safe an sound there with the super typhoon hitting you guys...
Agree on a secret word, so if an emergency u ask for that word, and if they can’t tell u, to bad no help.
Perfect Timing Paul - I was chatting with some Filipinos here in San Diego about your most recent video and our discussion centered around the number of expats in the PI. Your guest, Ian is spot on and it's a shame that there are a lot of bad folks who have reinvented themselves in Southeast Asia. When in doubt, do your research.
Btw, I'm a former Internal Auditor who has worked on Fraud cases, which resulted in jail/prison time. I can tell you that a lot of fraudsters are actually very friendly, outgoing and likeable. Only use your gut feel if it is warning you of a potential scam. Fake/shell companies, sure-fire investments, sick family, billing schemes, identity theft, fake reimbursements - these are only a few ways you can be defrauded. Social Engineering is primary when scamming individuals, so be safe out there!
Auditors could make fascinating videos!!!
@@KOHTAOMURDERSDEATHISLAND Yes we could, but you would be amazed at how many people wouldn't listen :)
@@tedlasalvia9668 I'm listening! I think people who try to victimize others are some of the lowest scum. Hopefully the lessons learned can be communicated in a way that can't be used as a playbook by persons with bad intentions.
Trusting GUT FEELING is not enough.
@@tuforu4 True, but it helps if one’s gut feeling is supported by experience, good observation skills and great radar.
Great interview Paul and Ian. We definitely have to aware,I think even more so in these tougher times the cockroaches or scammers are in abundance. Loved your comment about the common denominator… Greed. I’ve always added a third To the absolutes of life… Taxes… Death… And GREED.
It's always Greed these people are out for themselves and nobody else, but when they get too Greedy they will always make a mistake and they only have to make one mistake.
You GUYS want to meet NIGERIANS PRINCES..
very informative thanks for the talk
Great content !!
Usually banking personnel are alert to seniors who are withdrawing large amounts of money and will check with their manager who inturn will save their customer from situations like what your Dad experienced.
Throughly enjoyed, new info is always good. Foreu warned is fore armed
Interesting interview
Good Day, Mate !!
Ciao and hola Miguel! ✅
The big question is are we running from something or to something. We all have skeletons in our closet. That said, how do we handle sharing the past or are we forward looking. Everyone you have interviewed has not told you something about the past but loves telling stories about their current journey. Hey you and Baby are the ultimate couple that shares happiness to all.
interesting man good video
Sobering and helpful video!
Interesting information
Thank you Paul. 😊
Before I was a RN and computer tech, I was an insurance agent that specialized in Senior citizen products like Medicare supplements, nursing and homecare, estate planning life insurance, annuity products. I never wanted to put my client's money at risk because they were retired and could not go out and do what they did again to get what they have. When bank CDs went from paying 10% + to 3% a lot of the people went from eating steak to beans and they took the risk of getting into the stock market and lost their ass. I would put them into annuities that were safe and backed up and gave them around 6-7% with a guarantee to never fall below 3-4%. This was a good deal for everyone involved, especially my conscience.
That scam that Pauls Dad was plàyed on is still going around in Canada , yes mostly the Elderly, now we have very often calls çome from India ,.." This is the IRS / Canada Revenue ,Our records show that you are in Tax arrears , You are going to be arrested unless you send us a Bank Check or GIFT CARDS"..

Hey that Paul Cardwell fella seems pretty solid, is he looking for investors to open up a business😂😂😂
He did indeed!!
Awesome talk/interview. You have great guests!
Never do a deal with someone over the phone that you have not met in person. And also only do a deal with someone that you seek out if they seek you out don’t do the deal just keep moving. These scammers that contact me over the phone I just tell them I never do a deal over the phone let’s meet in person. That usually scares them away.
Then I told him I didn’t seek you out you seek me out I’m not going to do a deal with someone that seeks me out ever!!!
Knowing these scams are going on, it would be good to gather your family and friends to establish a "code word" to verify who you're talking to.
A new channel name: " Old Dog exposes overseas tricks."
🤣
Ian's awesome! One of my favorite guests. Have him back on!
