You can find it all! My husband and I just found one of our big wishlist items that we thought we’d never find last night at Goodwill. A 1940s upright radio in working condition. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw it but it’s now sitting in our front room. Dreams do come true :)

Oh if we lived in the same country I could give you my velvet couch. I got it because my cats, I had 6, were destroying my Nonna's club lounge so I stored that. But now I only have 3 and they're all elderly so sleep 22hrs a day.
I'm looking for an antique buffet/credenza for my TV, an electrified antique oven, antique working fridge, a butler's sink preferably cast iron and an original 1850's entrance door, side lights and frame. I also need a few 6 over 6 timber windows. Then of course I'm always on the lookout of authentic homewares and decor from the 1800's. This is because my home was built in the 1850's and I've been taking it back to how it would've been then, minus the outhouse 😁.

@@DressMeUpScotty it's a Cobb & Co cottage, built for the postal wagon that would come through. They'd change the horses over. Most of the materials used to build the cottage were shipped over from England. The bluestone though is from around here. Massive rocks jut out of the ground. They keep the house so cool in our summers that we have never needed airconditioning. However in winter it's freezing. I still haven't managed to get the fireplaces and chimneys cleaned so my daughter and I walk around wrapped in heated blankets 😁. It doesn't snow here we just have ice and lots and LOTS of rain
1:54 I think you can rent a truck from home depot for $20+ gas. There’s a hefty $150 or so deposit fee, but you will get that back. If the price of the couch is worth it, it can be a good option!

The Lennox spice village is an absolutely huge set, and I want absolutely all of it. I've managed to find a utensil box and two taper candle holders.
I actually spotted a spice rack with the cannisters in the wild before, but of course my local thrift shop auctioned it.
I so understand about the Fairy Books and I've been lucky and have 5 of them - the Folio Society 'expensive' editions, except that I've been given 3 as birthday presents and thrifted the other two for a few pounds. Constantly looking for others in the set. I just love them! Current thrifting goal is an armchair with footstool or a long armchair that I can pull my legs up onto in a DA asthetic. I will find it.
I only started thrifting all my clothes in a style I like last year, after years of admiring people who dress vintage/hobbitty/like a forest child, so I still have plenty of things I want to find. Most important are : a waistcoat, anything gingham, a vintage looking plaid skirt, and some more blouses. It's gonna be a challenge because I only have access to one charity shop and sometimes an antique market which isn't the best for clothes, but last weekend I found an amazing long winter skirt with fancy buttons down the front and most importantly pocketses ! So I have hope.
Edit : I would love a green velvet couch someday 😍 I saw a stunning one recently but I don't have anywhere to put it or money to buy it so...

I keep a thrift ISO list on my phone. I'm always looking for handmade quilts and afghans and have decent luck with that. Also vintage jewelry and clothing. The big thing I'm currently looking for is a nice wooden dresser (not cheap ikea particleboard material). I'm always have my eye out for unique furniture and decor.
A list on your phone is definitely a must! I like the idea of a visual list as well, someone mentioned a Pinterest board and that’s super helpful!
see one of my goals for 2023 are to actually thrift more and this video just *chefs kiss* like I could pull it up and be thrifting like "this is the cottagecore thrifting realness dreams ima be manifesting" while doing it, and I'm HERE FOR ITTTTTT hopefully get to 10k soon!!!! love the addition of home decor and knick knacks as well as clothes! idky but I feel like home decor is more fun to thrift or buy that's like cottagecore almost cause its more versatile and cute :}

The boots you want can be found through Halloween costume shops under witch boots.Also on Amazon under witch boots and Victorian boots ...so definitely may find thrifting... But good code words. Good prices on furniture at I think its called St. Paul's on Watt behind what was the old Wal-Mart... Well the next shopping center down. You already know I'm wanting Jean maxi skirts and if I found a Jean waistcoat.. Not just a Jean jacket with sleeves cut off. Also granny square vests,pull overs ,sweaters, etc a poncho is the unicorn in a granny square. Oh a hippie fringe purse big enough for phone, wallet,small makeup bag and my glasses..or a leather purse with the engraved flowers..yep I want all the late sixties early seventies vibe goodies..including a flower chain belt...I could go on but won't 😅
It's quite rare to find such a comforting CZcamsr like you, providing us with your calm and cozy thrift finds and feeding my thrift-addict of a mind but I was genuinely scared when you said "so many voices". I'm not sure why, but I was apparently 😆

I'm a collector of whimsical lamps so I really relate to your wishlist, right now I own a dragonlamp, a ladybuglamp and my latest find: a mushroom lamp! I was so excited when I found it because I had seen this adorable little mushroom Christmas village in a warehouse just weeks before but I don't buy anything beyond necessities new bc money and the environment etc so I had to pass it up. It felt like a sign that I did the right thing that the lamp appeared on my very next thrift trip!
Also, I loved the idea of a bare big Edison bulb in your nightstandlamp, but I'm also excited to see what kind of DIY you have planned!

That’s a good idea, the bulb. The DIY that I’m thinking won’t involve the lamp shade covering the light part that much so it would still work! I’ll have to get one.
1:24 oooof- hard relate! I’ve been trying to find a good velvet chair for over a year (!) for my stair landing. 😫 My local goodwill’s furniture is shorty at best, and the resellers show up at opening every day to swipe up the furniture! Any other local shops charge way out of my budget. 😢
About 3 weeks ago I saw the vintage treadle sewing machine I wanted... had to leave it in the thrift store as I have no place to put it and it needs repairs. I am letting go of the modern stuff I don't use or need in my life... reaching for a faeriecore/hobbitcore lifestyle where I can.
My parents had a dusty pink velvet Victorian couch… so beautiful!!

Im iso pinafore dresses, spode china, modern corelle especially the pioneer woman set in blue. (I was considering the vintage Corelle but the company said not to eat off of anything older than 2005 for possible lead exposure from the glaze) utensil holder

Don't know if it helps but pretty sure the flower floor lamp is from the 80s. I see them pop up a lot on fb maketplace for cheap. So hopefully that one wont be too hard to find :)
Ooh thank you! I’ve been looking online and there are different types of flowers, some are resold for a lot (I think the tulip one, where the flowers are facing downward). But I’m gonna keep looking in the thrift stores and on Fb marketplace.
My wishlist right now is: flower lamps, pretty art (like landscapes, fairy-esc, fantasy), fabric (so I can learn to sew/just to decorate my room), a ornate wall mirror because I saw a diy with moss and mushrooms I wanna recreate, any Anne McCraffery books (my dad introduced me to her stories so I've been helping with his collection), star wars books, and just cute knick nacks :))
I did a moss, butterflies and mushrooms mirror diy last year, definitely recommend! 🦋 🍄🪞 the ung drill ikea mirror is perfect for that if you can track one down (they discontinued them bit you can sometimes find them secondhand).
I always go thrifting with a mental list of things. Its so satisfying when you find something its like your manifesting it into reality 🤩

I’m iso nighties/slips, a nice jewelry box with many compartments/holders, a velvet armchair, super large knit cardigans, and platform loafers/maryjanes.

It isn't really a Fairy book but it is Fairy Taleish it is called The Rainbow Goblins. When my Dad died it was one of the first things I grabbed I love the colors. I also have a set l liked that is colored like the Fairy books each color is about a different mythical being/creature ex. Gnomes, Unicorns. Some day I want a big Legend poster ❤ Tim Curry. Id love to share a pic of my Rainbow Goblins book, when my sister in law was pregnant with my oldest nephew we found a copy for him when we were going through our Mom and Dads he picked up the book and said I remember that book it made my ❤ so happy.
I have a pair of shoes that look exactly like your victorian boots but (obviously) don't have the shaft that goes up the leg. They lace up and both the heal and toe are the "right" shape....and they are black leather. I thrifted them for $16 and they are what I wear for a "vintage victorian" look....

I’ve been stalking Craigslist too. I’m currently eyeing a burgundy one that has a matching chair. It’s $400 tho and in the SF Bay Area (a couple hours from me) but if it’s still available after we get our tax return MAYBE.

yes! i'm on the hunt for a similar style to the couch but even more for a velvet tufted accent chair for my office! I had some of the lenox big houses for my kitchen before i moved internationally and left them with my brothers 😭 I'm hoping to find a bunch of cool antique knicknacks for my office shelf like glass decanters and stuff! I’ve been seeing some cool velvet chairs lately but the thrift stores want so much for them. There was a couple rolled arm burnt orange chairs at Salvation Army yesterday and they wanted $150 each 😭

Okay, so what size do you wear in case I find the mushroom sweater? We have a lot of rich people in this area that donate to the thrift stores. I, of course, am not rich so all my clothes come from the local thrift stores but I have scored some great things! Also, I thrift with a good friend and as we are walking into the thrift store I tell her what I'm particularly looking for that day--and I sometimes find it immediately!
I’m a S/M but sometimes in sweaters I wear a L because I like to disappear in them 😂 honestly if you come across one that would be amazing. Keep me apprised! 😁🥰 I appreciate it. I love that in the thrift community we keep an eye out for each other hehe.
