So I wanted to try and wear a traditional barbarian costume (I've been REALLY hitting the gym trying to get BIGGG for my costume and it exposes a good majority of upper body with the exception of a piece that covers a portion of my chest) but in the rules it states no exposing clothing. Would this be allowed or would I get in trouble?

For the candles I just leave them on day and night. I got them in November and it I just changed them beginning of May. They do start to dim but then I just turn the batteries off. yes, they are on during the day but you don't really notice. At night when we come into the house its heavenly. The batteries are easy to come by and I just buy in bulk and on sale when able.

So fun to find out you're from my home city of Sacramento! We moved to Phoenix years ago and cannot recommend the Arizona Renaissance Festival enough! Definitely go at the beginning of the season (early February) to beat the heat 😊

Another thing, Gatorade has a line of electrolyte waters called Propel. They have grape, berry, watermelon, kiwi strawberry, and strawberry lemonade. There isn’t any sugar and is great for a replacement to Gatorade. Also, compliment our costume. We spend a lot of time, money, and effort on them. It would make our day.

Moved to Denver area a few years ago from Houston, where the nearby Faire is the proclaimed "largest". The CO faire is a no where near as big, but has all the requisite shops, shows, and other assorted Faire activities. Overall I end up enjoying it more than the larger one since things are less spread out and you can easily go back to somewhere if there is something you wanted to see/do again. Generally the people are nicer too.

Coming to the party late, but in my defense I was clearing out my mother's house so we can sell it XD And in that house, my sister and I found SO much stuff, little knickknacks and containers and several picnic baskets... And I'm going to have to figure out how to thoroughly clean and cleanse things, and then I get to incorporate them into my own space where suitable lol So this video could not have come at a better time. I managed to salvage my TARDIS blue paint and will definitely be using it, but I also really am interested in the green paint you used. Also thank you for the rec on painting the furniture - I've not painted anything larger than a picture frame in a WHILE so I'll try to remember the crosshatching when I tackle the furniture... As a side note, with the amount of detailing on the bookshelf, have you considered distressing it a bit? I think it would really let those rosette designs pop (plus if you used like gold rubnbuff you could tie in the color with the very cute handles you added) and add more interest to the shelves themselves (obviously the shelf decor is fabulous though). I'd never heard of Milanote before, but I think it'll be very useful when we finally get to move out of our apartment. I had a notebook at one time that was basically the physical version, but I think having a digital one would be a lot easier to reference lol

Those bookcases turned out great! I am years away from having a home of my own, but I dream of the day I can properly display all of my books. They are currently cramped together in 5 bookcases in my bedroom (+ around 5 cardboard boxes in storage). I think I will need an entire library to display them all nicely.

It's two hours away for me and I live in Stockton, so it might be a bit too far for you. There's also the Shasta faire happening this weekend that would be much closer for you.

I hadn't heard of Jasper Fforde. I immediately went to the public library apps, but there is a wait list so...I used an Audible credit. I like to listen to books too. I am older and can't see well anymore. I used to read all the time and get into trouble for neglecting other things. Now I listen to the book while I do the other things.

I have autism and adhd and the 1 ONE thing that truly helped me sleep is a WEIGHTED BLANKET!!!!!!!! I had insomnia and restless legs and chronic pain (because I was undiagnosed and burnout’ for more than 10 years and the FIRST NIGHT I used a weighted blanket I slept through the night 🛌💤
