    𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
    0:00 Put the headlight into the carton box for about 18 minutes and separate the glass of the housing by using a flat screwdriver and permaseal tools
    1:03 Remove the halogen bulb holder
    1:25 Put the rubber ring on the tail of the Mini H1 bi-xenon projector and screw the Mini Gatlin Gun shroud on the projector
    2:05 Put the bi-xenon wires through the reflector and screw the nut on the tail after you place the H7 centric ring
    2:26 Here we connect the bi-xenon wires to the high light. Now we do have new H1 splitters available what make this installation easier
    3:05 Connect the bi-xenon plug of the projector to the halogen high light by our splitters (sorry for the fog in the video)
    3:15 We drilled a hole (22mm) in the rubber cap for the wires
    3:56 Here we put the butyl in the headlight. Don't forget to clean all parts inside before you close the headlight
    4:17 Place the headlight in the carton box again for about 14 minutes. After that's done, press the glass into the housing
    4:53 Screw the bulb holder back on the tail of the projector and put in the bulb
    5:04 Connect the two plug in the original H7 plug
    5:16 Final view

    𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆:
    Retrofitting refers to the addition of new technology or features to older systems. These days there are a lot of people who put a simple plug & play xenon kit in their halogen headlight housing in an attempt to improve night vision and looks of their vehicle. In fact they don’t realize that their headlight beams are often worse than before. Night vision achieves relatively little improvement on night vision because of a poor beam pattern, which increases the blinding of other road users. This is because their headlight housings are designed for halogen and not xenon.
    A true Bi-Xenon projector update is now possible for your car. Such an upgrade will significantly improve your light output from 700-2100 lumens to 2800 and 3500 lumens, without blinding other traffic with glare from your headlight. Upgrade your headlight OEM style!
    The latest high power Led bulbs will upgrade both the exterior and interior lighting system of your car. Led lighting is becoming more and more popular in the automotive market for obvious reasons. They have longer lifetime, use less energy and improve safety with their fast response time.
    Do you have any questions? Do not hesitate to contact us, we are happy to help you out!
    Good luck with your retrofit!
    These products are not ECE-approved and must not be used on public roads in any exterior application. Use on public roads will invalidate both the operating license and insurance coverage.

    Hi, I have a GTI variant of this Polo. How bright are they in LUX? Have you measured it? I currently have Leds. Can I buy the projector housing only without the xenon bulbs and ballasts? I want to fit Leds in them if that is possible. Thanks. 😃

  • @sipapito

    Do you have to remove the hole bumper to do this?

    • @Retrofitlab
      @Retrofitlab  Před 2 lety +1

      There is no need to remove the entire bumper, however, you will have to unscrew some bumper screws to make a little space for the headlight to come out. There are several video's online that will show you how this can be done.

  • @Zeebean384

    Hi, how can the plastic cover be removed without a heat gun?

    • @Retrofitlab
      @Retrofitlab  Před 5 lety

      Without heat it's not an option. In general, 2 methods are used, with both methods, be careful and patient. Method 1 is using a regular oven. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius. When ready, switch off the oven and place the headlight inside. Make sure that the headlight is not touching any metal of the oven by placing a cloth over the grid, for example. Leave the headlight in the oven for 10-15 minutes before opening it. If the headlight kit is not yet soft enough, put the headlight in the oven for a bit more time.
      Method 2 is suitable for larger headlights that do not fit in a regular oven, or if your lovely wife absolutely does not allow car parts to be baked in her kitchen. A large cardboard box is used where hot air is blown through a heatgun. Make sure that the hot air of the heatgun does not blow directly to the headlight, place the headlight on small elevations so that the air can circulate properly through the box. We use a setting of 300 Degrees Celsius for 12-18 minutes / 1st lowest setting, depending on the size of the headlight.

      Retrofitlab.com hi thanks for the reply, how do I ensure that the projector is actually positioned the right way up so I don’t have an upside down or wonky beam pattern?

    • @Retrofitlab
      @Retrofitlab  Před 5 lety

      @@Zeebean384 When you have the projectors it will be quite easy. There is writing on them, the solenoid needs to be at the bottom and the mounting rings only fit one way.
