Rental fleet managers salivating right now
Appreciation for Buick making a solid car for under $30k. Not gonna win any red light races but at least it’s affordable
It absolutely does scream rental fleet. In fact I can already see me driving it out of an international airport parking lot.
They will also call this a “luxury car” option
Lol I bought this car 4 months ago to add to my rental fleet on turo 🤣
LMAO
also, for the money... heated seats, heated wheel, auto wipers, and power liftgate. that's a lot of stuff for under 30k
That’s the trade off for a disposable engine.
Yeah, pretty good price, considering that they've forgot to put an engine in it.
that is definitely worth it for the first 6 months with this buick, after that...... 🙂
Also, free engine and transmission failure right after the warranty period expires
Heated seats are pretty much standard now, and my Crosstrek has heated steering. The 2.0 produces more power and I have standard AWD with glorious viscous center dif mated to a 6-speed. Auto wiper and power lift? I could live without
These things are gonna be a steal on the used market in 3-5 years. $16k for all this after Aunt Gertrude is done putting on 4k miles a year in her 4 year lease
😂😂😂
Hopefully, but CPO cars right now are almost as expensive as new ones.
Not under Jo bidet.
Yup
Which is good for people that can’t afford expensive used cars.
I think Buick did a good job with this car! Nowadays cars are getting too expensive for the middle class, 50k and up is just too much for lots of people and with this one they get a decent CrossOver, quite good looking for a realistic price! So, well done Buick!
صد در صد مخالفم
They saved money with FWD and that 3cyl and put it into the way it looks lol. They know the market they're offering it to.
Would love to know the avg. IQ of those that buy this lol
I guess cuz I was disappointed it looks nice but I just can't even if it's not all-wheel drive

Actual baffoons.
@@manbatmiso Better fuel economy, a better looking crossover, and very inexpensive, I'd say it's a big win for the consumer.
cannot BELIEVE that GM is still doing the ‘keep reverse lights lit when parked’ thing. absolutely annoying in parking lots.
Yes! I agree!
Should be illegal. Very dangerous because it trains people that the reverse lights don't mean reverse.
You can turn it off in vehicle settings.
It can be turned off and it helps light up behind the vehicle. Also just check if the third brake light is on or not if you’re waiting for a car to leave.
Never heard of that, what’s the use for a reverse light when parked
Just an FYI to Doug...press and hold the scroll button on the right side of the steering wheel for 2 seconds and release, and then you can pick 5 pages for the driver information center.
I like Dougs videos, but I wish he'd investigate a bit more befire pointing out negatives.
So you are able to see like tire pressure and change the display?
@@TheDMC4671 you can move the tire pressure, engine temp, other options from the 11 inch screen to the drive screen.
Just got me one of these. It’s way faster than it is explained to be, incredibly smooth, very sleek. I am absolutely in love.
building this is the single best financial decision any car maker has made in years
Probably not making $ from this. Just trying to stay afloat
Oh I think they have a hit on their hands. Can you imagine? An American compact car that is a hit?? How refreshing is this?
I'm with you this will sell bucket loads. In this market this easy sell. It's not a Doug
It's not an American car. It's built by Daewoo in Korea. Just like the Dodge hornet is an Italian Fiat. Nothing more than a nameplate. Not saying it's bad. Just not American.
This seems like a move they would make JUST before going bankrupt.
People shopping small crossovers don’t care about the engine. They care about price and features.
I have two coworkers with bronco sports, and they told me all about all the cool features and goat modes but when I asked them if it was the 3 or 4cyl engine they just shrugged.
Very correct, this car is a good option for people like that. Not so much me though 😂
You’re right, the person who buys this car barely knows what an engine is.
True but some of these cars are so slow they're genuinely dangerous to drive. This isn't Europe, where most people are driving 120hp cars and the streets are built for that. Here you're trying to merge on a highway or change lanes surrounded by large engined vehicles. I rented a Chevy Equinox a while back and it was scary changing lanes and merging with such a slow vehicle. People were angry that I wasn't moving faster, but I simply couldn't
The only thing I do care about is Sport Touring! Does an X6 or Porsche have this feature? 😅😅
@@CJacuzzitypical Buick drivers are merging slowly regardless of their engine power. No need to give Betty 400hp.
Got me one in blue and love it. People definitely think it's a LOT more expensive than it is.
Same! The blue is so beautiful.
Buick might not be an "enthusiasts" brand, but they are the fastest growing mainstream brand with 61% sales increases from 2022. The Envista is also one of the fastest turning vehicles on dealer lots, with most of them pre-sold before they even hit the dealers lot. GM sells more Envistas in the 18-35 age range then any other GM vehicle currently. This is all current info as of Jan 2024.
This is what many car companies seem to have forgotten about building brand loyalty. Buying a car at that age range will likely mean that the buyer will stick with that brand for the rest of their life if they have a good experience. Get them young into a cheap car and as they age and the buyer will trade up into more expensive vehicles as they settle into their career and build a family.
This cars design is honestly pretty amazing for a Buick
NAH. The 2013 Buick regal GS was a really good looking car.
kinda look like a lambo truck
Too bad they screwed up the powe train
All new Buicks look good because they're designed for the European and Chinese markets. (Buicks are sold under different brand names in Europe)
@@thefloridaredneck
Stop living in the past.
The only real thing I dislike is this new trend with manufacturers where they’re placing the turn signals in the lower bumpers instead of at eye level in the tail lights where the eyes are. There’s no reason why the eyes should have to look lower for that signal indication and with inclement weather that bumper could be covered in snow and can be obstructed. If you’re too close to the back of the bumper you can’t see the signal which could cause another issue let alone snow ice or fog.
its because its cheaper to switch out with EU style turn signals
Totally this 👍👍
@@fckx1 what do you mean by “EU style”? Amber/orange instead of red?
@@fckx1 is it cheaper for accident insurance rates??
Blame Hyundai-Kia they started the trend
Was literally driving behind one of these on my way home from work tonight, and wondering what the hell it was. Then I get home and Doug uploaded a video on it. LOL.
I bought my Envista on Black Friday. I'm loving it. It's zippy and fun for me. It replaced my 2005 Volvo XC70 (boat), so the new car is amazing to me. I've got 37 mpg on the highway. You can't beat that with a stick!
Cool! Although you are definitely gonna miss the Volvo when the Buick’s warranty ends
@@santileonsteinberg1441 XC70 are not reliable cars. Modern Volvos are significantly less reliable than modern Buicks. And this 3 cylinder has proven to be more reliable than GMs newer 4 cyls.
I could beat it with a stick, if you'd like...?
Decent cars under $30k are sorely needed. I appreciate Buick for this. Looks nice!
Just get a used car then
@@HaloGruntI have gotten enough used cars to know people simply don’t take care of their cars even a Honda Accord I had with 20k miles used had issues. Id rather at least start ownership with 3 years and 36k miles covered.

I was surprised when Doug DIDN’T point out the “old school” mechanical gear lever! It makes me happy to know that even in 2024, the option for a gear ‘lever’ still crosses minds instead of buttons or some other unorthodox configuration like most cars nowadays, whether it’s to cut costs I don’t care, I strangely prefer the look and reliability of a gear lever!
For a daily driver, it has plenty of pickup. It's relatively light weight, and gm put in plenty of gearing to make up for the lack of displacement. We bought one for my wife. Love it.
I passed by one that was at a stoplight recently and my immediate thought was "that's a strange looking Urus" 😅
🤣🤣🤣
The Urus is a strange looking Urus.
@@joelness You make a very valid point lol
Exactly what i thought, now after watching this I think Buick should update the Enclave with this styling because it was eye catching.
Can't believe Doug didn't key in on this.
Fr I said I want to get that Buick that look like a Urus then searched this video
Glad to see that it's not another stupid EV that costs $60k + $22k in markups. It's really cool to see what Cadillac and Buick have done in recent years and the car looks great.
Since it looks so similar to a Model Y I was surprised to find it was ICE.
The only Cadillac with a digital speedometer is the Escalade I think tho
Considering the insane price of cars this is a great car for the price. It looks really cool, has all the modern features you would want, and doesn't kill you on the price
Buick tried again to reach young people but this time they struck gold it seems. I see these cars everywhere! I currently have a 2019 Buick Regal Sportsback Avenir and I love it so much.
My Uncle got a Buick Enclave a while ago, and honestly I was impressed. Adaptive cruise, very comfortable, heated and cooled seats, AWD, HUD. All for mid 20s (used). I drove it across Washington State a few times, and it chewed up miles between the comfort and the adaptive cruise.
I generally think Buick as a brand is pointless, but both Doug's review and your comment makes me think that Buick as a brand has changed far less than the auto market has. While they primarily made sedans, their new crossovers have essentially the same qualities: soft riding, comfortable cruisers that have slightly more elegant designs than Chevy/Toyota, a high-value feature set, and cost significantly less than a Cadillac or Lexus. While Buick is still essentially that, I do think it is a rapidly shrinking market in North America. I think the only reason they still exist is because they were (and maybe still are?) fairly popular in China.
@@ryannatividad3137not sure where you have been..but buicks sales are up significantly my friend
@@ryannatividad3137 but Buick is amazing once you dump all stereotypes. Buick is much more advanced than a Chevy, but it offers comfort and packaging from Cadillac. Buick Envision is actually a much better vehicle than its twin Cadillac XT4. I cannot find anything on the market that competes with Buick in quality, features, options, cheap maintenance, reliability and comfort. New Buick Envision is still the best value compact crossover on the market. Buick Regal Sportback is still the best used sedan/hatchback. Buick Enclave is still an amazing deal for a full size entry luxury crossover due to be redesigned this year.
I just got a 2024 enclave a few months ago as well. I drove a silverado prior to that. But I looked at the prices of new trucks and then I questioned whether I really NEED a pickup truck because I wanted to stay under 50k for my new vehicle. When it got down to it, I realized I didn't NEED the truck. The buick enclave with the towing package can tow up to 5,000 pounds. That's plenty enough for my needs. So far I do not regret that decision and I love the enclave. It wasn't cheap, it cost in the mid 40's. But its a massive luxury suv that is so comfortable and quiet to drive (the perfect family long road trip vehicle). If I would have gotten another pickup truck, 45,000 dollars wouldn't have gotten me very far. It would have gotten me just a basic work truck with no options or frills that wouldn't even have power seats.
Next year's buick enclave for 2025 is going to be completely redesigned. And from what I hear from people who work at the plant who build it, it looks pretty awesome. But I decided to go with this last year of the current gen (a 2024 model) because they are getting rid of the v6 for a turbo charged 4 cylinder. Power isn't the issue though. The new turbo charged 4 cylinder will actually get slightly more hp and torque than the v6. But it's just about longetivity, the more quiet and smooth nature of a v6 vs a 4 cylinder etc.. It's a big gamble going with a new powertrain on a gm vehicle. The v6 that is going out that is used in the current traverse and enclave had a lot of problems early on. Timing chain and transmission issues among them. It took them about 10 years or until about 2018 to get all those issues improved and for the last 6 years up until now as it's about to go away, it's actually a pretty solid and reliable motor currently. What a shame.
@@327SixShooter you are completely uninformed about new GM turbo engines. They are refined, quiet and powerful. I have GM LTG 2.0t in my car and it is the best engine I ever had. My previous ride was 2013 Acura RDX with 3.5 V6, but my new GM turbo easily beats Acura V6 in every way. New Enclave, Acadia and Traverse will all be amazing SUVs because of this new 2.5 turbo
It's great to see car companies creating relatively affordable vehicles that have useful and enjoyable features. The heated seats, and easily accessible rear storage area, are much more attractive to most people than paying for 300hp thye won't really use. I just bought a used '22 Kia K5, but will definitely be looking at this vehicle in the near future.
Doug the type of guy to name his iphone "Douglas's iPhone" even though the extra S isn't needed
Some sources say that it *is*, because otherwise it looks like a phone that's owned by multiple people named "Douglas."
😂
Extra possessiveness of Doug
Douglas' implies that it belongs to multiple people named Dougla. "s's" for singular possessive, "s'" if you're adding the apostrophe to the end of a plural
Can we all just appreciate that Doug has the perfect thumbnails? The side-shot is the most helpful when it comes to deciding if you like how a car looks. I watch some car reviews and not once do they show a full side-shot, gets me heated.
Though the powertrain rules it out of consideration, I have to admit the styling is growing on me. Maybe it's the colour, I'm a sucker for obnoxious bronze hues.
My 75 year old father just got the cheaper Chevy Trax version, and the tiny engine is surprisingly capable. Thanks to the turbo it makes like 160 lb/ft of torque down low at 2500rpm, which makes it feel a bit more peppy than you might expect. It's also great looking with a full Digital Dash including WIRELESS CarPlay/Android Auto!
Yea the Nissan ariya bronze is banger as well
Bronze is a great color, imo... imagine it with matching rims? Well, maybe black rims look better on a bronze car...hmm...
they wasted a really good design by giving it such a horrible engine..looks sporty outside but the engine is a joke
yeah if it just had a hybrid it would be prefect. but just a three banger i'm out.
The headlights being down lower is a great design choice for anybody in front of this in a sedan, I think all large vehicles should have this
On the other hand, higher headlights put more light down the road. There's a reason why old cars with stacked headlights were mandated to have the low beams on top.
This is genuinely a very nice car. Potentially the best daily driver you can buy brand new for less than 30k
Also fun fact. Gauge cluster is slightly configurable. Press and hold the scroll wheel on the right hand side of the wheel for up to 3 seconds and you have some preset gauge cluster display options.
The 1.2L is a criminal offence
Hahaha, a 1.2L 3 cylinder with the power of an old civic.

Watching Doug review the Buick Envista is like watching him discover a hidden drawer in his childhood dresser, full of surprises, mild confusion, and the occasional 'What were they thinking?
I’ve seen a lot of these locally to me for about a year now and I’ve been waiting for this video since the first time I saw one. Damn good looking
As a Acura Integra owner...Acura needs to take notes. The Integra needs to be either cheaper than it it currently or way better than a Civic, its neither while the Envista is both.
You’re paying for the name at this point now. Buick and GM sales for economy cars have been declining so they don’t have a choice
Exactly! I can't justify spending 37k on new Integra when I can get this Envista for 30k fully loaded.
With Acura you do get the added value in driving dynamics, reliability and an overall more polished design. I do agree their pricing is too high, but I would still pick them over the Buick.
@@dhillaz reliability is questionable, Buick is actually very reliable these days. Polished design? Did you try using Honda infotainment and GM infotainment recently? It is night and day difference, Honda is far behind. Driving dynamics is important to you, but utility of Envista could be more valuable to many other people. I just disagree to buy any car with CVT for "driving dynamics", so manual is the only option for Integra. If only Integra had a proper automatic transmission like Envista does.
@@user-iv8jf3mr1k Yes to be fair Honda infotainment has been pretty bad
Doug, I was actually hoping you'd do the Trax, but just as well. I have 24 Trax 2RS and I love it. I used to be a "Car Guy" but just a working guy here so this is in my budget. Are they "Amazing"? No, but for the price they're selling faster than dealers can get them, because they're nice for the price. My Trax has 245,45,19 tires, and for an economy car it's FUN! Not what you're used to be a fun little car.
I've done a few videos about my Trax if anyone wants to see
I work at a Buick/GMC dealer and they actually sell extremely well, the Encore GX is all around better for a litter more with optional AWD+ 20 more HP, but still not super nice. The Envision and Enclave are the true entry level luxury SUV's.
I'm really glad you did this review. I understand that your channel is mostly for cars that enthusiasts are going to like, however there are plenty of people that just need reliable transportation. This car sounds perfect for that. You did neglect to mention one fact that would be useful to Shoppers like that. You didn't mention the fuel economy at least as far as I noticed. Welcome to the downgrade. If you live in a city and drive 40 miles a day and you look at a Model 3 for 37k after rebate this seems not great.

You can change the center screen!! Same as with the Trax, hold down the scroll wheel on the right side of the steering wheel for a few seconds, then when you let go it brings up a hidden menu that let's you change the look of the screen! How are brake lights inches from the ground legal but camera side view ‘mirrors’ aren’t?
I've heard Buick is launching a new "auto pilot" system next year that will let Buick owners drive hands free, 20 mph under the speed limit in the passing lane, with the left blinker on all the time.
Psh, prius has had that option for 20+ years, gm behind the times as usual
These are the car specs every old person in Europe dreams of. FWD slow crossover.
... which answers Doug's question about why Buick exists. It's because Buick is fairly good at bringing in export sales (albeit more to China than to Europe).
Most people who bought this are 18-35 years old based on data released by GMC recently. Affordable, spacious, modern, and not ugly looking like most cars in that price range. Not fast, but us mature young folks who are financially responsible (not the ones street racing and wasting our whole paychecks on mustangs, M3s, corvettes, etc.) find it quite accommodating. A good “bang for your buck” as they say.
@@entrepreneurcoder I leased a buick at 23 and then bought out of the lease. I still drive it 10ish years later. I will probably drive it another 2-3 years (hoping for better financing situation) and then buy another. The thing is rock solid. Buick Regal Sportback as well. It was a luxury hatchback made in Germany by Opel. Amazing ride no one ever knew existed in the US.
Interesting that it has a 1.2T. That’s exactly the most popular sort of powertrain small SUVs have had in Europe for years (most are 1.0T in fact), but looking at the comments of this video it seems Americans aren’t quite on board with downsized turbos just yet…
I have driven plenty of them when I worked at a Buick GMC dealer. They have a good amount of power I like them. It reminds me of a encore with a sport back roof.
They still prefers 150 HP from a V8 that made 5 MPG. They are crazy
@@user-lg5uh8sr3dWhat Americans prefer underpowered V8s with absolutely abysmal fuel economy?
But one of the reasons these things did so well in Europe was because the government would punish you heavily for buying anything bigger. Fuel prices are insane and road tax for large engine vehicles can be thousands a year. No one in Europe said "God I hate V8s, I would much rather have a 1.2 litre turbo VW Polo." They just bought them because it was economical suicide not to. In the US we don't have that need at the moment. Gas is cheap and your tax responsibilities aren't increased greatly by not buying a tiny engine car.
A 1.2L engine can be fun but this isn’t a motorcycle, it’s an SuV.
As the lone Buick enthusiast left in the automotive landscape. I was actually kind of interested in the look of the Envista when it first came out. You get that "coupe-crossover" look, and a decent amount of features while not breaking the bank. The 0-60 is what killed it for me. Its like 9.0 seconds or something to that effect. I wound up getting a Maverick Hybrid because it was similar money, better fuel economy, and compared to the Envista Avenir which I configured, it was actually cheaper.
I work for GM and a GMC and a Buick store in Cali. These Envistas are super affordable and when I tell you they are desired and people want them it’s actually real. We got a shipment of 6 in and they all sold in 3 days max. Way better than a Toyota or Honda in my opinion and it’s something unique others don’t have. I don’t want a simple car everyone has. Id prefer to be unique
seeing “Douglas’s iPhone” on the infotainment raised the question that i never thought about in my 10+ years of watching dougs videos - HAS HIS NAME ALWAYS BEEN DOUGLAS DEMURO???

So, it’s a rental car spec, essentially. I have a feeling they will be the largest buyers.
Actually I’ve seen a lot of these on roads in Dallas Tx. The black ones really look expensive
Thank you for the video! I am a single dad, on a tight budget! I’ve been driving around a 2008 Dodge charger for about 10 years now, and I’m almost at 200,000 miles. I’ve test driven this Buick twice! And I really enjoyed it. I work at a bank, and it would literally just be my daily driver. I don’t need anything crazy fancy, or anything extremely fast. Unless I can think of another vehicle, or I find something else. I might get this one. But, the sport version in black, or the Moonrock gray.
As a GM vehicle owner, I completely understand the reverse light frustration, but I will say, it is extremely handy for rear end illumination!
As somebody who recently bought one of these I don’t think Doug gets the point of this car, Buick is removing themselves from brown sedans for old people towards nice looking decently equipped economical cars for new young families to purchase. I bought this for my wife because it’s good looking we’ll equipped, economical because of the small engine and fits a dog or a car seat for the young modern family. It has enough pep to make her feel not slow but not enough to get tickets.
You're a bot.

Early 2000s compact car horsepower is borderline criminal especially for such a stylish vehicle
It needed a 4 cylinder 200hp engine option.
Saw one of these about 2 weeks ago and I was shocked it was a Buick. They FINALLY made a car that isnt for 95 year old people.
Probably will still only be 95 year old people buying them regardless for all we know. 🤷♂️ Just how Buick's reputation is.
@@christopherpotomski8463 i just bought a ST one and im 31 haha! Love it!!!
Very honest review Doug, I can respect that. Im currently driving a 2013 Buick Lacrosse and this vehicle peaked my interest as I have always liked Buicks. I would definitely buy this as it would certainly be an upgrade. I don't particularly do any real driving besides to/from work and around town here in Vegas 🤷🏾♂️ So i think at it's price point, it would be suitable for me.
Doug gives an informative and sensitive review of a car that doesn't 'tick his boxes' but could find a market. I have in mind a recently retired person who has to trade his/her current ride and has been used to 'reasonable' pricing over their lives. They don't drive far but they would like to go in style and maybe have a couple of friends along to go to dinner. I would enquire about changing out the low-profile tires: the stock ones don't fill up the wheel wells enough and fatter ones might help the ride as well.
Hey Doug I own this car and you can change the gage cluster to your defense I’ve owned it for 4 months and just found out 2 weeks ago that it can be changed just hold down the right button on the steering wheel for 2 seconds and it gives you like 6 options to choose from but other than that your spot on about this car everybody thinks it’s more expensive than it is
Looks great, including interior. Hope it sells well for Buick.
Every time Doug said 'Envista'!!, I took s shot lol
Saw this at the Minnesota State Fair. There was a kid in the front seat who wanted his mom to get a photo of him in it. She goes “in this car?” more than a bit incredulously. He was emphatic and got his picture.
I thought to myself “that kid is right it actually looks pretty good?” kind of amazed tbh...
Then I saw the engine specs and it left the “next car consideration set.”
When you purchase the car, when do they send you the rest of the engine?
Need to pay for the monthly subscription to activate the extra cylinders.
It's actually not slow at all I'm always pulling away from other cars and I'm barely on the gas
Buick larger suvs are actually pretty nice and luxurious for not a lot of money. Also, Buick does a lot better in the overseas market.
I just saw one of these(same color) at my local supermarket. I was certainly fooled. The rear of it had slight Mach-E vibes. I looked closer and saw it was a Buick. I assumed Buick released a new EV or something I hadn't hear of. I didn't have time for a closer look. I was quite surprised when you said it started at $23k
Thank you so much for everything you do! 😀
We have a 2021 Buick Envision and have really liked it! New Buicks are worth checking out!
They are but people don't give Buick a fair chance sadly
I like the way it looks. I hate the brake lights.
The USB ports are a deal breaker for you?
My retired neighbors across the street have a couple more recent Buicks. They really do look more expensive than they are.
Love the honest no b.s. reviews from Doug.
This thing has no right to look this good. It’s selling like crazy too- my buddy at a Buick/GMC dealer says they’re all selling before they even reach our shores. Nice to see them having success.
My dad just want to our local dealer to and he got the same response from a salesman - The styling and price is making these Envista's sell out before they even hit the dealer lots.
The Envista is so sharp, I honestly thought it was an expensive EV looking at it.
This will do well in China and South Korea!
China will love this
Are the US import Envistas made in China or made in South Korea units? I'm guessing SK but could anyone kindly confirm this?
…if a wrecked Lamborghini Urus and a Chevy Spark had a child 😂😂😂
It’s China made and they sell the ev for that market
@@the80386it's made in South Korea I can confirm this as I own one
A local security company within my area uses these for some of their security patrol vehicles. When I first saw one, I was wondering what it was until I found out it was a Buick. I am impressed by it actually as it looks like something that can be marketed towards a wider variety of car shoppers.
Nice to see you show the cruise control. They put it in the right place, where it belongs, right on the steering wheel under your thumb. (Can anyone explain why Porsche and Toyota put their cruise controls on a stick that doesn't even follow turns of the wheel, and makes you hunt for it, to find it?)
This thing, imo, represents the styling direction that Buick should take the rest of its lineup in, with the sole exception of the Enclave.
The Buick Envision looks really good too but it's another one that nobody knows about - They actually have a nice looking lineup aside from the dumpy looking Encore.
This is the look they are going for with the whole lineup going forward
Nice job GM.
Tasteful and practical.
Most of us dont need a three ton gas guzzler
Look here Douglas. Buick is known for their quality, reliability, and dependability. A Buick makes for a wonderful daily driver. I ❤ my Regal. The sports car comes out on the weekends. Buicks are lovely cars. I love mine so much I want to buy another one. 😅
Doug is the only guy who looks for sports car performance in a budget pseudo luxury car
It’s that time again when luxury prominent features are starting to trickle down to lower cost cars. Not too long ago this happened with touch screens and now almost every budget car has a touch screen. Now it is happening with adaptive cruise, heated steering wheels, and power trunks.
It's very annoying. Just rasimg the prices on the cars and more stuff breaks for poorer used car buyers down the line.
I think the 'blinkers on the ground' design is honestly pretty dangerous. GM isn't alone on this by any means, but it needs to be corrected by regulation sooner than later.
Even worse is the fake brake lights they put on the Bolt. It has these big red lights you're expecting to light up but instead the real brake lights are down low behind the bumper reflectors. The Mini Clubman is the same way.
@@bwofficial1776 The Envista has the same low brake light/turn signal combo as the Boldt, unfortunately
I bought a 2020 Buick Enclave with Avenir trim after watching Doug review one a few years ago.. but I think that video got taken down. When Doug started talking about "cheap" carpet considering $60k price tag I was "sold" thinking value got packed somewhere else and overall I think it did. I like honest car reviews and I like to know the weak link on what I'm driving (variable valve timing and how to turn off auto start stop ect.).
Must have to say Doug is in a league of his own. This car will be massive success seeing that most Americans dont have dougs pockets. Young people especially young smart people want something to go from a to b and not have to worry about huge gas bills or headaches from lack of a charging infrastructure. Doug you really are missing the point. Id take this over any Hyundai kia any day.
The car has 3 different gauges configurations.
Would you review a Buick Regal GS sportback? I thought that this was the best thing Buick was doing in the past 10 years
These are rebadged Opels - so many of them on European roads, just a regular car here.
I've had one for 5 years for my daily. Nice car for sure
Not only have I heard of it, I just bought one about an hour ago. More luxurious than my 10 year old Mercedes. Concerned about the 3 banger turbo but not enough to put me off the car. Seems peppy enough for freeway on ramps or passing, but probably won't be taking it to any "track days" any time soon. Damn fine looking car for the money!
In 25 years it might be a '98 Pontiac Sunfire, but for now it's pretty nifty. I'll probably be gone in 25 years anyway so it won't matter.
First time viewer, will be returning. I just love how this man says “Ennnnvissssstahhhh”
The engine is such a turn off. I instantly lost interest when I heard what engine it had. Shame as it's not a bad looking car.
It’s how Buick was able to keep the price low. Maybe a 3-cylinder but gets better 0-60 than a Toyota C-HR until that model was discontinued in the US after 2022.
They put a lawnmower engine in it😭😭😭
😆
Doug, you can change the speedometer screen. On the right side of the steering wheel you have a scrolling button. Hold it down and you have all the speedometer screen options.
Definitely will be getting my wife this car in about a year or 2 once kinks are figured out looks great they made a nice beautiful car that’s affordable
