- Today we're looking at the Cartier Santos Blue and Green dials which is new to 2023. Featured in the Cartier Santos Medium size is the Blue Dial ref: WSSA0063 and Green Dial WSSA0061 compared with the classic white dial WSSA0029. This new Cartier Santos Blue and Green also comes in the Large size ref WSSA0030.

I was in love with the green one on paper.. but when I tried it, I’ve choose to finally go with the classic white one. Match everything, iconic, and more classy.
Spot on. The Santos green and the AP RO blue are the only watches I know that look better online than in person.

I never had any legibility problems with my blue Santos. Besides that I love the reflections this is what drew me into the watch. It just looks so amazing in sunlight plus on my opinion this watch is one of the most beautiful allarounders out there.

@@gabriel11291 You should consider the Rolex Oyster Perpetual silver or blue for your first watch. Much safer if you decide to resell, more robust and screw-down crown for safer water resistance.

I really love the green dial, so I have the mid size model in green for about two weeks. i wear it everyday and luckily I have not scratched the bezel yet. Good recommendations from you.
The white dial pops...and is iconic Cartier. I do like the black ADLC version however.

Love your reviews thanks a lot for it. I have the white dial large but really like the green one. I probably would have liked it more if the green dial would not fade to black. It’s not that much green in my opinion. I do however love the green alligator 🐊 strap and think it would probably look good on the white dial as well. I love the look of your santos with the gray strap too. What’s the retail price for the green alligator strap for the large model with the deployment clasp when ordering through your store and are they already available?

FYI there are two alligator strap types for each color (shiny or matte). The blue and green come with the shiny alligator straps, but the one you purchased looks like the matte version that they also offer.

I love my two tone medium Santos! Generally I wear it with the navy blue matt alligator. The bolstered, flush fit just looks so cool.
I would also comment on the curve of the case and the glazing - it really does set the Santos apart. Mine just hugs my wrist.
The gold is probably the better for keeping the scratches at bay....but then mine is not a daily wearer. I want other strap colours but the genuine Cartier Santos straps are expensive in the UK (It goes with the territory, I guess!)
Even if you're gonna buy the white one, you should ask about the green /blue one in your AD. when they tell you they dont have it, act disappointed and say like you'll reluctantly buy the white one for a 5-10% discount.

@@cyan0xidethey don’t need to discount anymore, they’re not desperate to sell and the employees aren’t on commission, they don’t care if you buy or not. Back in the day even Rolex would give a small discount but the whole industry has changed since then.
I got 30% off my Santos medium.. You need to befriend an employee from a store and get their staff discount. Simple 👌🏾 £5,800 down to £4,060.
Hi, thanks for the well explained video, I picked up a Cartier Santos, blue dial and I got a plain blue leather strap, wanted to check whether Aligator strap, was included or I need to buy and how much would it cost
love my Santos, worn since 90's, it is by far the most comfortable watch - can't change straps on mine but all good! love your Santos, is that a grey gator band with white face, it's perfect!

The white dial version all day long. Weird Cartier made this watch to swap out straps but doesn't make any effort to push them or even show them on their website. Would be cool if you could do a video showing us strap options from the showroom or even your own ones. You are the Santos guy on CZcams! Such a shame Richemont told Delugs to stop making straps for this watch.

I experience some play in the connection of the leather strap, is that normal? The steel bracelet fits perfectly, but the leather connection feels less secure.

Really wish they would make the grey dial in a medium size. I love mine but wish it was a touch smaller. My wrists are 6.75 inches so I can pull off the large but only just. The gray dial has good legibility against the white indices (which are also lumed) and the ADLC bezel has been completely scratch resistant thus far. I also love wearing it on the rubber strap.

What are your thoughts on the synthetic Sapphire Spinel? I have the two tone and it still has the synthetic spinel. Only the full gold models have an authentic spinel. It irritates me based on the price.
I'm really, really looking forward to the blue. But gosh, I wish the indices were just white, not silver. I noticed that the silver applied indices in the large model aren't very legible at some angles.
I have the medium blue dial, the trick is to use the train track markers to tell the time, they’re white and printed on.

Hey MinuteMon, would you say that the Santos green dial is a versatile watch similar to the white face because of how black the dial looks most of the time?
I wish they had the sportier PVD blue in medium! I love the Santos De Cartier PVD blue. But my 6” wrist tells me to reconsider 😢

Hi! 2 questions: 1) i know the bezel is known to be a scratch magnet but does it mean it gets more scratches vs other watches like rolex or omega? 2) debating between SS or TT, is it generally more visible to see scratches on a smooth steel or gold bezel or same. Just thinking if it will be less noticeable or visible in one compared to the other.
There's a guy on watches U seek who brushed the bezel, it look great because there's already brushed components of the watch, you could just get it brushed once the scratches become too much

Can I change the dial color?
It's silly that cartier doesnt include two larger links so you can get the perfect fit. Even the prx does this with 6mm links and two 4mm links. All cartier has to do is make two 8mm links to go with the 6mm links and then you could get a perfect fit down to 2mm increments with the right combination of links.
Traditional watches aren’t about practicability. That’s what an Apple Watch is for

Hey Minute, I recently have purchased the blue Cartier de Santos and upon asking for the alligator strap, the salesperson told me that it does not come with the blue one.
What color did they tell you? Tell your salesperson to check the official Cartier website here that shows a blue alligator strap with the blue Santos

You bring a link with you in the pocket? How much does each link cost. I remember once I has to buy a couple of links for my mom's Bvlgari which I had given to her and the bracelet was a little tight. Each link cost eyewatering 200 USD. I think if you put all the links together bought at retail, it was going to come up to more than the price of the whole watch!
No, I don’t bring the link with me because I don’t have any issue with the fit, it was just an example if someone wanted to have adjustment on the fly

Was disappointed when I went to my AD and the Green Medium leather strap didn’t fit my 7” inch wrist. Had put a deposit and everything just to hold it 😢

I love the white but I hate the blue hands on the newest version😭 should’ve stuck with black or changed indicies to same color as hands. Throws me off the navy right next to the black but not exactly matching

That bezel is deal breaker. Cartier can you put a ceramic or hardens the steel at least ?
to me its barely noticible. only in direct light. and the micro scratches actually just make it look sparkly to me.

Some problems with my Cartier watches. Great disappoint when I knew they had all of them cheap ETA movements. 😮😮
The new Santos isn’t ETA movement, it’s Cartier’s in house movement made within Richemont used by other brands such as JLC & Piaget

Bought in year 2000 the Cronoscaph 21, ETA movement, in 2002 the Tank, ETA movement, in 2004 the Roadster, ETA movement, and in 2008 the Santos, ETA movement. I knew it after, when I began using internet, in restoring videos in You Tube that you also can easily find.

I'm more concerend about the indices. Bareley legible.
Grey dial ADLC bezel. That's the route I went. Only downside is it's a touch on the large size for my 17 cm wrist. If they made that in the medium size I would swap out in an instant. I've had it for 6 months and there isn't a scratch on the bezel.
Some people are just vanilla, love the Colours added by watch companies, loll at the “legibility” crowd,it’s a fine dress watch you want something to complain about or to pat yourself on back for getting white, saw these in person will definitely add the green dial, hard choice between this watch or JLC Tribute green. Love the videos, keep up the great work! Can’t stand the “watch crowd” not everyone looks at functionality 99% of buyers just love it as a fashion piece, they don’t get miserable about in house movements or whatever garbage everyone is complaining about.

@@MinuteMon You just compare your watch real world accuracy to the manufacture spec. The Santos manufacture accuracy is -3/+7 seconds per day and not every watch is the same. You know better than anyone that Spring drive is much more accurate in real life and it's ridiculous to have a comparison like that. It help you to simp the Santos accuracy but not healthy to you audiences.
