2014 Ford F-150 - Installing a factory Ford remote start

In this video, I installed a factory Ford remote start on a 2014 F-150. I programmed the vehicle using FORScan so that the owner would not have to take the truck to the dealer to have the remote start functionality activated.
This process should work for F-150 trucks from 2011-2014.

It is not the same for 2009-2010 unfortunately. Ford changed the electrical system on these trucks starting in 2011.

@@AKJeeper ahh, so this feature wouldn’t be available for the ‘09 & ’10 model years?

@@dm7097 Nope. You will have to go with a more traditional remote start system. The Ford dealer-add on for these cars appears to be a Compustar or similar unit. Not a plug-n-play system by any means.
