Intro Song Raccs Devo / r. . - Zábava
The moral of the story: Don't piss off the guy who writes your lyrics.
Truth!!!!
@T P Ice Cube was literally NWA lol. Them boys would of been nothing without him and Dre.
@@DylanBadour Well they needed Eazy cause he was the one that provided initial funding to get their music out there as he was the one actually hustling, he was also the only gangster in the group to keep the image they were giving off in their songs alive. If anyone tried to call NWA studio gangsters, they couldn't because Eazy was actually in the streets
Fact
@@DylanBadour nwa’s albums after ice cube were better, albeit not as influential and significant, but much more enjoyable to listen to
And in a full circle moment, you're listening to No Vaseline on Beats by Dre headphones 😩
Sure but Dre. Bought Beats and promoted them under his name
Isn’t it owned by apple now? What’s the significance
The original beats were just monster headphones. Same product but only $70.... Y'all fools literally just bought the brand. 😂
"Stick to producing" was some of the best advice Cube could have given him
Beasts by Dre, owned by apple!
Love when these young thunder cats find out about real rap
Did....did u just say thundercats!?..........AWESOME!!
@@incorporeal7614 lol young whippersnappers!
Me tooooooooooooo!!!! When the pop tarts get a dose of that real sh** it’s awesome to see!
No. When they find out that the person they only know in Ride Along and Are We there Yet was a rapper this hard 😂😂😂😂
@@incorporeal7614 Panthro was the shit. If it wasn't for the sword, he would kick Lion o's ass.
Cube went straight in. NWA started it and Cube finished it. He didn’t come to play no games. Hardest diss track in history. Straight fire. He was direct too and wasn’t with the subs
I'm with you on that my man! He bodied all 4 and not one single word was said about Ice Cube after that! They saw that Cube could be a lot deadlier with his pen than they anticipated.
Ice Cube became Rap's "Black Mamba" on the diss track after No Vaseline dropped. And pretty much afterwards he became the dog that everyone was afraid to pet. Then two decades later came The Game. Now that cat can inflict some major damage with his ink pen too! He can catch bodies as well!
Hit em Up ain’t too shabby..
@@leethomas7659 tupac had help dissing biggie smalls, ice cube took on nwa by himself & dismantled them without ranting & raving. Which makes no Vaseline a better diss track to me though plus it was straight to the point.
k b. Tupac’s first verse was enough. Trust me, he didn’t need anybody else. Lol!
They dissed Cube first multiple times before he actually responded. That’s why “No Vaseline” was so heavy they had pushed him to edge.
💯
Till this day I still can’t believe they dissed cube knowing he’s the mastermind behind NWAs lyrics like come on 🤦🏽♂️
"benedict arnold", "I was speaking to yo bitch o'shea". Not smart
I'm 54 years old now and STILL, that was one of the most brutal assaults on past members of a group done by one who left. I remember that song was the talk of the town and it had the city slightly divided on who's side should you take. I remember thinking back then this could do two things, get real ugly or cause a major shift for NWA. I didn't really expect a response cause how could they come close to doing one after Cude murdered all four on wax. I felt NWA's demise was close and as it turned out, I was right. No Vaseline, the greatest "Diss" track OF ALL TIMES!
I remember it too....funny seeing the reaction of youngsters to what was "our" era, but this movie was an initial treat, but soon became a disappointment....they really bigged E up in the movie (sorta} and then satire took over (E never downgraded), and never showed, nor played "Real MFn Gz"...and they also played it like they weren't mad at 'NO Vasaline'...but we old heads know about that infamous confrontation at the Hip Hop Summit in NY..
@@MelWoods1969 Yeah no doubt. There was a lot of tension in the air back then.
No doubt the best, also in that class was Kool Mo Dee diss of LL Cool J. Let’s Go, That was dope as hell as well.
@@deonebarnes485 Was just listening to some Kool Mo Dee earlier this morning. "I Go To Work"
Man im sure that was a good time
Dj yella admitted as soon as no Vaseline dropped they all knew Cube got’em.
Ren too.
@@TheColdrush22 yup
I saw that interview when Yella said that.
@T P eazy actually hired people to try and jump cube
@@firstlast-bd5wc Because he didn't want to be seen carrying a chair around, every where he went.
A lot of people didn’t like the long intro but it showed all the things they were saying about him after he left. Then he showed why you don’t mess with the rhyme writer.
Watching kids discover something old that’s new to them is fun.
Can't help but smile when these youngstas get a dose of real rap music! This was when music was real! Bout to be 42 this year and was raised off 80's, 90's,and some early 2000's west coast rap before the game went sour!
Right when he had the sample, in the beginning, of Eazy saying, "Ice Cube writes the rhymes that I say".......he got 'em.
Eazy said he never got the idea to rap but when he did try it he was very beastmode miss Eazy E
@@raulsalcedo5585 don't get me wrong, E is one of my favorite rappers of all-time. Ice Cube simply killed them with "No Vaseline".
No its cool they both have their own personal raps love cube bro i miss them rapping
@@raulsalcedo5585 I think my favorite 2 rappers are E and Bushwick Bill......as far as groups go: NWA, Geto Boys, and UGK (before they started doing guest appearances and that Master P stuff).
*When we were kids. "Our parents just* *don't understand this music"*
*Now as parents. "Kids just don't* *understand this music"*
*The Absolute Irony😂*
The fact he finished this song in one take says it all
lol I remember when this came out; every time you paused it for your reaction, I would laugh thinking - Oh, it gets better my friend - lol
Facts! I was thinking...Just wait!
These kids have me rollin really aint ready for real rap.
Say it louder for the youngings in the back
They gonna learn today!
😂😂😂
Im shocked the kids dont research the history enough. Explains why the music devolved. Shout out to the young buck doing this video though
Seriously, back then, Ice Cube went all in on them and nobody came back to him, they knew he won.
They quietly accepted defeat.
Ice Cube is GOAT no one has dopest flow then Cube
This track goes so hard and Cube's bars were so savage that he actually convinced Dre, Yella and Ren to quit NWA.
Cube wrote at least 80 percent of the lyrics on NWA's first album and easy's first album.. But got no credit for it. He was the only lyricist in the group that's why they didn't last. He left peacefully and they decided to take a shot at him. And he went straight nuclear on they ass!!!
DOC wrote a lot too
@@awwskit9753 the only reason he left d.o.c. out of that was cause he lost his voice from his accident & the d.o.c. admitted that himself.
He didn't write 80 percent... D.O.C. and M.C. Ren wrote hella songs as well...
Cube didin't even write everything in some of his own verses man. It was a team effort homie. Check your facts before sayim' this ignorant shit.
That was Cube 25%, REN 50%, DOC & DRE' "the rest". REN wrote a lot of those song but really get overlooked. As far as lyrical delivery goes Icecube was tight but REN was the baddest in the group!!! I really thought REN was gonna take shit to the next level after NWA disbanded.
I'm a 46 year old, white dude, and I know this song by heart. Hurts me when these young cats don't know how good hip hop used to be. Great story tellers behind great beats
Slick Rick was amazing at story telling
LMAO! I'm 45 and White, and yeah. It's true.
Cube, Scarface, Pac, NWA (to name a few) are the main ingredients that formed us (born in the 70's folks) to who we are today. When we hear today's rappers talking about how hard they are we nod & smile because we know better 😉
Yes
Pac and cube (both goats) were studio gangsters. What are you talking about 😂
They never responded. NWA disbanded shortly after this
Yeah
It also should be said that cube didn't diss them until they called him out on 100 miles and running
i know its late for this comment but nwa released a diss track before ice cube and ice cube responded pretty much destroying nwa
@@JacobCostaJacobC679 Little late? All you did is say the exact same fucking thing as everyone else.
He was the one that wrote for all. Once he left.....WRAP!!!!
dre and snoop took a shot at cube at the very last part of fuck with Dre day.... they downplayed it though because Dre and cube squashed it around the time the chronic came out
Greatest diss track of all time. Cube went after the whole N.W.A. and let them have it
Nobody can change my mind...BEST DISS TRACK EVER. The Dazz band song beat sample...the way they had noooooooo way to respond...and it was straight fire with facts and not made up innuendos and shit..and not only that they started it, he ended it lol
That’s the best diss track ever... facts...
Fact
Hit em up?
@@s1ummp Hit em up is a good dis track but that’s it, good, it’s an angry song delivered with anger and hatred for its recipients, to be honest it feels like Suge had a hand in writing that track as it’s “I’ll shoot you, & Kill him, AK this & 44 that” and with 3 other sub standard rappers to back him up, I don’t see the point, it’s his beef, why bring others in to help deliver the message? It takes away the validity of the message, it does not have half the Lyrical finesse of No Vaseline, No Vaseline is a well thought out lyrical masterpiece that felt like it took time and effort to create and was delivered with precision, perfection, calm, and finesse, & Cube had the balls to stand alone and deliver his message. hit em up feels like it was written in 10 mins & some of it was written by a bunch of “knuckle headed gun toting Death Row G’z” and the delivery that’s the end of the track is a bit sloppy. my option for what it’s worth...
Definitely the best diss track ever.
Everybody was bumping this shit.
Hit Em Up would have been better if it was just Pac on it.
When them other dudes start, you can't wait for Pac to get back on the mic.
@@sonofabeach71 I agree 100%
His reaction just shows how sensitive the world has become. Back in the day we just thought, 'damn, he got him,...
😂😂😂I remember when ATM machines were called READY TELLERS😂
Lol 😆
The entire album Death Certificate this track is from is 🔥 🔥
I love this track! Cube spits fire 💣 he killed N.W.A
They all admitted Ice Cube got them on this track, non of them denied it.
Ice cube was the real talent. His lyrics are on another level all the the others combined
Probably the single greatest diss track ever recorded.

Hit em up?
@@s1ummp no hit em up had help with other people rapping for like 10 straight minutes and he said "single" still hit em up is pretty good
😂😂😂😂😂These young Katts have me laughing from their reactions😂😂😂 We was too hard back in the day the 70s,80s and 90s😂😂
Do the entire Queensbridge VS South Bronx. “The Bridge is Over” is a cold-ass classic.
Hell yea!!!!!!
I feel like that one was more about place and time, though. That's a thing you can't do now. He wasn't sitting in a basement someplace putting out a track. That was local and he could be touched. That's a different level.
Back in the day when men were masculine
You ain't lyin', mama!
Guess you didn't listen to the part about lipstick and lace.
There's a reason why it's good to be hard and rugged..... Or else femboy will be the fate
This youngster reaction got me appreciating this classic!
Cube was giving a heads up on that bootyplay in the industry. Way back
Best dis track ever! Grew up on this! Glad to see young folk finding it
You wanna music to react to? How about Cube’s entire Death Certificate Album!! My favorite is Summer Vacation & US. Every track is a story and once you hear it in full by paying attention to the lyrics is when you can understand why Cube will always be one of the greatest artist in the hip hop genre which he help to establish with his work in his prime.
Well said Miss Sanchez. Ur comment deserves more likes, etc, but I'm feelin' u..
Eazy E got the final knock out when he finally went solo and put out Real Muthphukkkn G's. that whole piece was dope af all around and called out everyone as it was. that was his last big dis before he was found positive.
Let me also add in that it is so freaking cool to see the younger crowd doing research on the old school rappers. Knowing music history is a lost art anymore.
Real Muthphukkkn G's was aimed at Dre and the rest of NWA
@@ramonchavez913 He had a wide scope. 'Getting treated like boot camp.' lol...
@@beerthug that was at dre remember he said at death row u get treated like boot camp gotta follow the Sargent direction or get yo ass popped with the smith and wesson
No vaseline and hit em up by tupac are the baddest diss songs of all time
Kid 'em Up doesn't come close.
There's no way to make a comeback to that ! DAMN , iceCube be slaying , even if NWA did clap back it be just dust in the wind ..
He disbanded his former crew with just the greatest diss track ever. Period. Hit’em up comes a distant second.
DJ Quick - dollars and sense
It's not Quick its Quik
Dollaz and Sense
I'd say dollaz and sense is probably the greatest diss track of all time. He even performed it live in front of mc eiht. DJ Quik was no joke.
@@xvsoulsocietyvx8470 Yeah true
Without no Vaseline there is no dollars and sense.... in fact if there’s no ice cube/nwa there is likely no DJ Quik..
If he’s freaking out this much to this then just imagine how he’d be if he heard “hit em up”
Cube wouldn't be able to stop laughing long enough, to respond to Kid 'em Up.
It is what it is! What goes around comes around. Cube don't play, still to this day he can show us!!! He has always been real and very fierce. ❤💋
Ice cube
Was telling them but they didn't want to hear it
Dr. Dre woke up later and left
Generation gap: watch all these reaction videos and see young guys fail to react to the Kunte Kinte line. They just don't know.
Imagine how we felt when it was talked about on Yo MTV Raps when it came out. Most of us had to go to the music store to get the album. Others had a friend or cousin who had it. Then had to go somewhere quit just to hear it. Don’t let an older family member hear some of the verses. They tried to take the album and break it.
The original wide open Beef that set the bar high for how to dis in hip hop! All young hip hop fans should be put up on game about the foundation their music was built💯🙌🏼🔥
Such a classic diss track!!! Love your reactions man!!! So great to see the new generation discover these classics!!!!
Check out KRS-One’s MC Shan Diss- Still Huggin’ A Nut
Next ➡️ CANNIBUS dissin’ LL with a Mike Tyson introduction to

Great job ,cant wait for the next one!
I still say this is the number one diss song ever made.
The Bitch in You - Common...it's an Ice Cube diss and it's fire!
Yeah that's a dope diss track too
Then Cube dropped Hoo-Bangin with Westside Connection plus lines scattered thru out Bow Down Album
React to DJ Quik. Dollars ' Sense diss track
I had the same reaction in college. Dies tracks to check out are "Dre day" by Dr. Dre, "real Compton city G's" by easy e, and " big momma" by Roxanne shante where she dissed all female emcees
This generation: "whens the song gonna start" 🤣. Just listen youngin this is a classic, top 5 disses of all time.
As vicious as the first time I heard this back in the days...
React to Tupac's Hit'em up video (dirty version)
Dude, early Cube is the gangsta gospel!
He hears the rhymes but it goes layers deeper. To really appreciate what Cube laid down, one would have to have lived it or maybe watch the movie. This was beef he tried to dodge. When he responded it was after NWA’s song “100 mi. and runnin” and you also need to understand the motivation behind that. It’s a whole saga lol. The CPT, the Lench mob, Amerikkas most and other innuendo add to the track. The broomstick, Willie D and other references baked into this track give it that snap that makes you glad your name ain’t mentioned. “I’ll never have dinner with the president”! Eazy had gone to the White House. That’s the reference. He even used his proper name lolol. He went from the smallest fish and went up the chain while keeping the scope aimed at Jerry for taking advantage of them as a group. This was methodical. You can’t mention diss records without referencing this classic.
you got to react to Ras Kass - Nature of the Threat!...after listening to only that 1 song...yo'll get Razzy Kazzy in your top 5 MC's!!!
Stop being impatient. The intro has a purpose. We did stuff like that back in the day. NWA went south because Cube was writing most of their lyrics. Oh, and they did have a joint bank account...
That's not why they broke up, and Cube didn't write anything on Niggaz4Life, which is better than Straight Outta Compton. Cube is great, but they all made that group work, not just one of them
@@gargadow Yeah, ok....lol
@@gargadow "Cube didn't write anything on Niggaz4Life, *which is better than Straight Outta Compton."*

I’m glad that you have your channel so the youngsters can really enjoy the rap we listen to when we were y’all age
I like seeing these young kids watching real rap and learning what it was all about. I was always original, it was always real and there was always a message. More young kids need to study our 90s rap and understand why we hate today's generation.

Hi life
Homie you need to take Cube entire catalog to the lab!! Everything he did was hot fire
When Cube says "You done run 100 miles but you still got 1 to go" he is talking about the song NWA made when he left, called 100 Miles and Runnin. When he says 'you still got 1 to go' he means that when a prisoner is on death row and about to be given the death penalty, he is referring to the perceived distance the prisoner has to walk from their cell to the death chamber. Like in the move The Green Mile. So he is saying Dre, Ren, Eazy and Yella are going to be killed.
Best dis track in history.
hit em up vs who shot ya. classic
Omg when u said "did they even respond? Can they respond?" That killed me 😆
I love all the o.gs..when music was real nun of this bs out today...I remember back in jr high hustling cds for $5 using Napster way before limewire hit...listening to 90s takes me back to a time where I was living in the slums but in a position way where I made my childhood memories, made some real friends that wouldn't change on you...the ones that survived are still in my corner 20 years later were all family men now but we still kick it and reminisce about the good days
Nas “Either “, Diss track against Jay Z and Rockefella Records. Classic, Nas bodied Jay- Z!
Didn’t Jay-z buy out his record label afterwards?
No the fuck he did not.
Jay ripped Nas a new ass hole and Nas ended up signing to Jay!
You are absolutely correct on NAS signing with Jay Z. Again, in my opinion, NAS was better. No diss to Jay Z, He’s THE GOAT of all, period.

Kid 'em Up, is your disbelief.

That intro set up the song it was brilliant.
Ice cube - king of the hill diss track. Where he disses cypress hill.
Then listen to ice cube killa.
That king of the hill went hard. That is equal to no Vaseline IMO as far as diss tracks.
Yeah, I remember when this dropped. I was just coming home from college when Cube dropped this masterpiece on NWA! They tried to make a comeback diss but IT SUCKEDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!! NWA career was officially over after this dropped. FYI, this song wasn't metaphoric, Jerry Heller WASSSSSSSSSS LITERALLY FUCKING NWA WITH NO VASELINE! Rap battles were REALLY REAL back then, we took it straight to your face! If you're interested in epic rap diss tracks from back in the day, you can do MC Shan (The Bridge) vs KRS 1/Boogie Down Productions (The Bridge Is Over) LL Cool J vs Kool Moe Dee, UTFO vs Roxanne Shanté just to name a few!
