It was only after severe punishment that Kunta Kinte relented and called himself Toby. So when Ice Cube says that MC Ren is going out like "Kunta Kinte" and then calls him "Toby", Ice Cube is saying that MC Ren was not able to maintain a position of strength and gave in to being weak by letting Eazy-E take the money that he (Ren) generated with his rapping and music sales.
