I am 70 years old. I really enjoy your videos as I can add new techniques to my fishing arsenal.
What I love most is Kelly's no BS way about him. He says like it is and I really respect him. He is very knowledgeable and more people should really listen to what he has to say.
Great video!
Masterclass on reading water.
Carolina rig for fly fishing, love it!
Gonna try it
Ya know, I been following you for a long time. And I always learn something every time. As I always say I could listen to you all day good filming Braden👍 And Mel good to have you with the crew😉
Thx Kelly. I always appreciate the instruction videos.
Great video, should help me out a ton with my wooly steamer fishing. Looking to improve that hook set, Thanks a bunch Kelly.
Well done, love the swivel and small cone weight idea so simple
Love the Carolina rig use! Going to try that out and know it'll slay them. Thanks for the Intel!
Thank you Kelly for sharing from Traverse City
I like your style, you tell it like it is!!!
Great video, really ebjoyed it. 👍🏼😎
I'm worth ya. I don't care what people don't do either! I appreciate the knowledge dumps!
Glad to see you have success with that Royal Coachman bucktail. In our area growing up, that fly was tied with a polar bear wing. It was killer. Also, the Light Spruce Fly fished the same way has been great for me for years. Thanks for the great video. As always, very informative. I'm going back to running a barrel swivel. Don't remember why I stopped. As long as you're pulling over to wade fish, might as well let Mel take a turn too. Maybe she doesn't want to be videoed though, eh.
Keep em coming
Thanks, I really appreciate the tips from a wading perspective. I'm not able to buy or row a drift boat. I hope someday we can have you as a guest at one of our Healing Waters meetings in Chattanooga.
Ya know, I have been following you for a while now. And I always learn something new every time. Like I always say I could listen to you all day. And hey Mel, is Johnny filming 😉☕️☕️
I love streamer fishing. I seldom nymph fish and only use chironomids mostly when I do. . I’m 70 and have more success streamer fishing than other fishermen nymphing. Learned a lot from your informative videos. People ask me a lot of questions on how I to streamer fish successfully and I tell them to watch you.
Learned a lot from this one.. see yall in a week!
Hey guys, love the videos. Had a question. Kelly mentioned the importance of plopping a streamer and getting it moving asap. In the case of buoyant flies with deer hair heads, they take a second to sink, does it matter if the first movements are on the surface? Flies like a swimming Jimmy need a second or two for even heavy sinking lines to suck them under.
love that ball and chain carolina rig.
Love seeing the “old” flies. I fish them often….
Great video, as usual. When you throw across and fish down, did you throw a quick mend on the line after the fly hit the water, just high stick, or both?
Someone get the camera a polarized ND filter thing😊
I have a quick tying question. ( I'm a noob ) Is there a problem biting down on the actual hook point in my vise to avoid constantly stabbing myself while I'm tying?. I'm guessing there's a chance of breaking the hook. Thinking of shoving a pencil eraser on the points. ???
Kelly I get it when you explain it. The way you teach is outstanding ( just like the beautiful oarsman) thank you for doing these videos.
Don’t be a creep
Great episode. How about producing an episode of you drop shot fly fishing?
Would you ever do the double streamer off the tag end of a triple surgeons? I’ve had luck doing that with leeches fishing still water. Was wondering if that’s a bad idea on moving water
In this type of water would i use a floating or intermediate line? You call it a double fly would i be able to use a teaser ? or is this method like a teaser? Great information for the novice at this sport.
Some flies (lots really) were never broken to need a fix. ALL those flies on your racks Kelly, WILL catch fish sooner or later, with the right circumstance. Them fishes don't use no term like 'Trad'.
Kelly never got into his hand made leaders with maxima. How does he make them?
i believe they were in the last video. when he sits in the boat. before his girlfriend expertly rows it.
Another great informative video! Thanks for covering wade fishing. My annual 10 day trips to the Madison River can only include one day of guide float fishing because of the cost so your commentary on wade fishing is greatly appreciated. The videos are great but if you used more arrows to point out what you discussing that would be helpful. Also if possible a closeup of the water showing what is being discussed would be helpful because it can be hard to see sometimes. Your videos are always ultra informative and ultra interesting. Thank you!
I love your technique videos. People complaining are dumb asses. Learning from fisherman who fishes every day, for a living is always good. Now, if you want to apply thise is up to you but, always remember those, just in case.
"Error subscribing ro channel..." youtube has unsubbed me from every channel, and errors when I try to resub...
See you in two weeks :D
Love the streamer videos, but it would be really cool to see a wet fly video. You don't really see many videos about that.
Hey gang!
The guy giving you crap about handling drops more fish than any CZcamsr out there.
