I'm your host, Darren Van Dam!
Tired of looking for good movies to watch on Netflix, Amazon Prime or other streaming services? Every week I recommend a handful of the best movies on Netflix, Amazon, HBO etc. so my subscribers never run out of good movies to watch on streaming. Spending 10 minutes watching one of my videos could save you hours of searching, hours that you could otherwise spend watching good movies on streaming that you otherwise might not have ever watched or even known about.
Thanks for watching! - Zábava

The Passenger is an awesome thriller. Edge of your seat thriller.
REALLY appreciate the effort. I know how clunky Prime makes it to find decent movies among the chaff.
Nicole Kidman is still awesome! She stole the show in The Northman.
The fact you provide this comment in all your posts is nothing short of amazing. Always appreciate that
u rly need to start mention if its for us or eu or asia
because not all the stuff is available here in eu
This video explains why I am dumping Prime before they start putting ads in everything. If I want to watch 30-40 year old movies with ads, I have that on cable!
Very bad idea that Prime's starting to have ads at the end of the month.
Adding commercials is going to make me drop Amazon.. and I definitely won't be paying extra to avoid the commercials.
prime needs to invest more in original series like reacher , the boys and original movies and stop running crap we have already seen on cable
I heard Prime is going to start putting ads in everything, so I am likely not going to watch Prime much anymore anyway.
I was a bit disappointed when i looked up a large number of your suggestions and all of them we were rentals. :( That's my biggest gripe with prime, so much is not actually included with your membership. Lame....
Not to mention the fact that they are about to make prime users pay more for ad-less movies....
and I gladly will... because ads suck
Thinking about going straight black web Firestick as a result.
Damn, I hadn't heard of this. I guess I need to cancel then :/
@lemurdreamur9257 "no action is required on your end" you can just keep paying them the same for the privilege to watch ads now
Think outside the box and, like many for the past 15 years, watch anything and everything for free.
Fact:
Lifeforce has the finest naked-face-eating-vampire-from-space in any movie EVER.
Well top 50 for sure
Thanks for the recs, will be my last month of watching anything on Prime because no way in boink all am I paying $2.99 on top of what I ALREADY PAY just for the pleasure of watching slop interrupted by commercial breaks of Viagra ads.
Dude, that shirt really ties the room together.
Thanks for the List and Video 😀
“Expats” looks interesting.
See San Andreas for DD,Dario running and jumping....Not for The Rock, who hasn't played a new character in 20 years!
Mayfair witches was like a supercut of all the Goofy movies she's been in, rolled into one! Fairly faithful to the Anne Rice books.
Tubi!
For anyone who has not seen *_Lifeforce_* , it starts sexy weird and then takes off like a skyrocket.
I defy anyone to predict "what happens next?" , the first time they watch *_Lifeforce_*
I was allowed to watch it as a 14 year old boy. It was...like nothing I had ever seen.
I'd already read the book, so I knew quite a lot of what would happen. :) Colin Wilson, _The Space Vampires_ -- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Space_Vampires
Thanks for the honesty you rock brother💚🙏
Darren thank you for sharing with us fans.
Always top notch lists, thank you so much
I love the weird _Lifeforce,_ particularly it having a relatively early Patrick Stewart performance.
_Bullet Train_ was goofy fun.
I totally agree with you on Fast X, couldn't even get through it as so stupid. In Canada Prime is making just about all the good movies paying to rent or buy now.
0:03 I’ve still not skipped past this. Pressed pause and am still just looking at her! 😍😍😍
Who is she? What is the movie she’s in? And why didn’t they include it? In the list of all the other crap the showed ? 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
She like a younger probably slightly cuter Jennifer Anniston. We talking 1995.
If you're any kind of sci-fi fan, and you haven't seen Europa Report, watch it. It's outstanding.
Agree. I found it gripping.
Lifeforce is one of the best scifi movies ever!
Lmao just had to tell you the title of this video gave me a serious chuckle. Great adjectives.
Prime is disgusting. They want you to sign up for 10 other streaming platforms like HeyU to watch what you want. I have watched seasons of different series and they make the last few episodes unavailable unless you sign up for something else. Trash.
The Killing isn't showing up as available on my Amazon Prime account. Is it's availability being delayed?
No Country for Old Men, Mad Max, and Saving Private Ryan aren't showing up as available either
Pulp Fiction isn't either.
@@largepaw8761 I wonder if @DarrenVanDam got an early list and subsequently Amazon lost the licensing deal on several of them. I mean in the past 1 or 2 might not be available, but this is 5 movies that aren't available! It's NEVER been this bad.
thank you thank you!
👍 thanks again!! :)
It’s definitely January.
Yes. Prime is getting crushed by the need to pay its NFL contract (which I certainly didn’t want for “free”, should have been subscription only) and big losses on Rings of Power and the Witcher spinoff.
Witcher spinoff ?
@@aliarshad6906 Witcher: Blood Origin
Bezos could fund 100 NFL contracts and still keep 10 mansions 😂 it’s because 75% of their members don’t use prime they have it for shipping. So they can charge more to the ones who use it cause they are struggling to put food in the table 😂
@@aliarshad6906 Witcher: Blood Origin. It's genuinely awful. Even Michelle Yeoh could not save it, and she looks genuinely embarrassed in many of the scenes, like she knew "Oh, this is just crap" even while acting her butt off.
@@cammobunker yeah that is awful but that is a Netflix show not prime
This month Prime is very light.
Why not mention in the video when a movie needs an additional subscription? I watched this video on my Xbox so couldn't see the description, then went to Prime only to find that the two movies I was interested in require me to pay for an add-on service.
Death of Dick Long was fantastic. Amazing how grounded such a flick was kept. Actually a realistic take on uncharted territory.
Marsh King’s Daughter rocks.
The muscles are fairly new, lol. Good work, keep it up sir
💋 😂So cool I’ve been looking for those HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎆
Lifeforce rates pretty high on the weird ass movie scale but is also pretty fun! It has a neat role from Patrick Stewart and a scene that drastically shaped my opinion on female anatomy 😅
I am now intrigued. 😂
Yep. The female anatomy is what I remember most about that movie.
When I was a young lad and saw this movie I thought "they" were the best I'd ever seen , to this day I think the same :P
thanks bro
Euorpa Report was excellent.
Great FLICK CONNECTION Darren and many thanks for sharing with us. Really invaluable to have your recommendations, as Prime do indeed have a lot of rubbish films 👍👍👍
Canceled PRIME entirely due to the ad policy. Shopping at Walmart, now, too.
Glad you said it. I thought they were crap as well.
Star Trek has my whole attention. The previous game was tempting but not up to the scale to be a must have, but this, oh man the models look gorgeous, and the developers line up sounds so promising.
Payback with Mel Gibson is also on Amazon Prime
It’s also on Tubi. 😂
LifeForce's boob-alishess content holds high praise.
Sad to think they are 40 years older...
I'm sorry but to me it's Snoresville, overly-recycled and absolutely not worth the added $2.99/mo charges from Amazon!
I saw LIFEFORCE in the theater when it came out in 1985 (right here in New York City). I really liked it, but, true story, half the theater walked out! So funny. It's literally the only movie I've ever been to where I saw people just up and leave. I've seen it a bunch of times since, and it's unintentionally hilarious, but still enjoyable.
Was and is A Frekin Awesome Movie .. also from NYC .. video games , CGI has destroyed the attention span of the human race
Those are the days when you would just walk out the theater when you felt a movie sucks
Right up there with movie goer walkouts is “Polyester,” featuring Smell-O-Vision technology. I had a nigh tolerance for gross back then, but still walked out. No other Odorama films since. Wonder why?
Oh yeah? I went to see Ghandi in the theater. I think I stuck it out for about an hour, and when I left probably two thirds of the theater had left before me. I think the only people who remained were those that had fallen asleep, to be honest.
@@lorenzopronto6982 you would not pass a movie quizz given to 5 th graders .. in any years up till and including now .. of NON commercial .. but Films that made an industry ripple .. in some meaningful way .. other than .. im so pretty .. M/F .. Harvey W promised .. Disney …. Etc etc did it .. i have watched 3 films .. that originated from the same Story .. almost shot .. shot .. but most disturbingly .. the same message…
I like your reviews. curious, how many movies do you watch per day to filter out good and bad movies?
I have never seen Flick Connection put such a scathing title.... 😂😂 This should be a wake up call to Prime
Great List!
1)Europa Reportis incredible. I have never seen a sci-fi movie like this. Oddly, it is a compact accessible movie that is quite terrifying and takes only 90 minutes. Don't miss it.
2) It's been over a decade since my most recent viewing ofLifeforce. It came out 49 years ago but does not seem that dated. It seems a natural following to the fear and superstition historically associated with comets, which tends to enhance believability. It's also a feaast for those that truly appreciate the female form. well worth 101 minutes of your time.
Europa Report Is a must-watch. Realism mixed expertly with drama.
You mentioned about the new Mission Impossible movie this summer. They just announced recently that it will not be this summer but will be delayed until 2025.
Did I just see Patrick Stewart in that "Lifeforce" clip? 😮😎
Nice shirt.
As though Amazon need the money, another customer rip off idea. Not paying them any more will just have to suffer the ads.
Magic Spoon is surprisingly good, which I didn't at all expect when I tried it. Regular subscriber now. (I mix the PB & Cocoa, too!)
I like your vids, helpful to know what's coming up and whether they're worth bothering with. 😁👍🏻
Just added some goodies to my to watch list (def not nicole Kidman series though, that ego just has to be in all she can, the AMC preview commercial sealed it for me) Thnks always DVD
Passenger. Great movie. Hope to see Gallner in more.
I believe that is what they call "Damning with faint praise."
Just watched Lifeforce again, haven't seen that movie in 20 years... Also brings back memories of Species and/or Skyline... Mathilda May,,, she is 6 months older than me,,,, Ya, GREAT movie!!! Checked on IMDB, ya, she still has it!!! LOL!!!! as well as many other movies she was in!!!
Side effects is very good
"Burn after reading" was more enjoyable than he might have indicated in my opinion, and on the other hand "Side Effects" just like he said, few too many twists and turns, and several of us were left underwhelmed at the end, though we had high hopes during the first half or so....
Darren. Seriously. The original Mad Max is by far the best.
Prime being proud of something makes me want to watch Netflix. Rings of Power.
I love lord of the rings. The books, even the movies. Never watched the mega long hobbit. Tried power. Lasted ten minutes. Utter bilge
Most of these movies are not included with Prime…you either have to subscribe to Starz, Max, etc. or rent or purchase. Seeing this A LOT recently. Also noticed that the filter which pet you sort for the “included in Prime” has disappeared.
Surprised you didn't mention Sound of freedom!?
YESSSSSH ❤❤❤
Burn after reading is so underrated. What a great movie.
Great list as usual. How do you get around the copyright laws for your tshirts? Recently a woman was fined 250k for using a country singers face on watermugs and selling them on Etsy. Keep up the great work!
You need to finish up that comment with the rest of it the country singer actually found out told his lawyers it was wrong visited the woman and came up with some type of agreement
Dang, never heard of "Death of Dick Long." Looks interesting, thanks!
it's pretty gnarly.
Avoid if dyslexic.
Completely agree about fast X - terrible!
True Detective Season 1 is what I'm excited about
I’ll be busy crossing off the movies I’ve had on my watchlist before Amazon starts bombarding us with ads so I won’t be catching any of these … or whatever they’ve got upcoming either.
Prime Video is dead. Most movies ALSO require a secondary paid subscription to Paramount, Starz, Hulu, etc. AND you now have to pay extra for no commercials.
I won't even be watching any more Flick Connection videos about Prime.
Side Effects no longer is free on Amazon Prime. I just checked as I wanted to view it tonight.
It's not worth it, in my opinion. It caught our attention in the first half, but then every twist just made it more confusing and we all thought it was a waste at the end of it all. But we're all different so who knows.
@@kevinstarski1598, thank you for your insights. I was curious by the review, but learning of your view of things I will not be so anxious to purchase it. I'll wait till it becomes free again before I view it. Enjoy the weekend.
If I could drop prime video and keep prime delivery I would have years ago. The latest trick of adding advertising then charging for advert free content and trying to maintain that the price did not go up is simply flag waving how messed up the service is.
LIfeforce is worth it just for Mathilda May's perfect hooters.
How much is prime right now ???????
Any reason you don’t have bookmarks in your videos? Many of us don’t go through a whole video but skim through.
The passenger rules
This whole video just highlight what sucks about Amazon Pirme. I pay for it, but of all the movies described as 'being added to Amazon Prime', only one of them was included in what I pay (I gave up half way through). And now as someone else mentioned, I'm going to see Ads? Amazon Prime sucks when compared to Netflix I'm afraid.
Does your use of Magic Spoon conflict with your use AG1 ,a prior advertiser?
1:22 I"m still trying to understand this frame 😮
I was going to ask if you had been working out the first minute in I was like oh look at those pythons 😢
is that the guy from shark tank @ 2:40
Mathilda May in Lifeforce is the most beautiful vampire or sort of vampire that walks naked in most of the movie... I was totally starstruck when I saw her for the first time in that old movie.
I loved the first Mission Impossible when it was new and i was a teen but tried watching it recently and found it pretty unwatchable. I know 2 is more of a spectacle but I wonder if it's actually a good movie.
The only reason to see 'Lifeforce' is Mathilde May in her prime and au naturale perfection.
I like the movie, but, yes, she is the best reason to watch.
Thank you for the recommendations. I have to disagree with Europa Report. It is so stereotypical of Millennial sci-fi that you can actually name the next scene coming up. I am surprised RiffTrax has not gotten around to this one.
Have they ever streamed the movie KIDS
Never. Saw pulp fiction
Prime is just bad... i keep it for shopping on Amazon.
Most of these are coming up as rent or buy in the uk 😢
Yo LifeForce!! i havent seen that movie since that movie since i was a kid. Def wasnt and still isnt for kids 😂😂
Is it the Hollywood strike that’s the cause for such a lack of new stuff coming out?
Side Effects is definitely looked over for some reason.
F9 jumped the shark for me. I haven't watched Fast X. But I liked 1-7.
Not feeling bad at all
For finally deciding NOT to renew prime membership!
I've been holding off on Reacher until I can binge it but it will be good to check out anything good before the ads come and I unsub.
No country for old men is not free
Pulp Fiction isn't either.
